Warm medicine emits fragrance

Chapter 26 Turning the Tables

Li Chenbi said he was holding her while she slept, and he really only slept with her; he didn't do anything else.

Although Fan Liuer didn't quite understand what this person meant, since he didn't intend to do anything, Fan Liuer was happy to relax.

Despite her calm demeanor, she was still somewhat afraid, fearing that Li Chenbi would kill her in bed.

Now that she felt safe and secure, nestled in Li Chenbi's warm embrace, drowsiness quickly overcame her.

A good night's sleep.

When Fan Liuer opened her eyes the next day, she was still a little dazed. Looking at the unfamiliar environment in front of her, it took her a while to come to her senses.

Looking down at the hand lying in front of her, she thought, "That hand really knows how to find a place. It's firmly pressed against my front, completely enveloping me."

Whether it was because he was awake or it was a bodily instinct, he even held back a little.

This was a bit sudden, and Fan Liuer shrank back a little, letting out a soft groan.

The two were already pressed close together, with nowhere left to retreat or shrink back, inevitably waking the person behind them.

Before Li Chenbi even opened his eyes, his senses were awakened. The softness in his palms and the fragrance in his nose evoked memories of last night.

My mind is clear, but I don't really want to move.

Since the beginning of summer, he hasn't had a good night's sleep. Every night, when the ice in the ice jar melts, he is always woken up by the heat.

In the past, someone would come in regularly to change the ice in the refrigerator, but he was a light sleeper and the slightest noise could wake him up.

Once woken up, it's hard to fall back asleep.

Later, he stopped letting those people in at night, and would only call them when he woke up from the heat.

Today, he slept soundly until dawn, enjoying a rare and comfortable sleep, and was somewhat reluctant to wake up.

"Sleep a little longer," he murmured, shifting into a more comfortable position as he held the person.

Fan Liuer had slept well and was full of energy. She felt a little uncomfortable nestled in Li Chenbi's arms.

This person... um... seems to have done something...

I've heard that all men are like this, right?

Knowing something is one thing, but experiencing it firsthand is another.

"Second Master," she whispered, nestled in Li Chenbi's arms, "I want to get up."

Li Chenbi was about to fall asleep again when she disturbed his sleep, and he was a little annoyed. "Shut up."

Fan Liuer dared not speak again.

She pursed her lips and quietly crept forward, wanting to get away from him, or at least not be so close to him.

She had just arched out a little when the hand on her waist forcefully pulled her back and pressed her back down.

"What are you moving?"

Now Li Chenbi couldn't sleep at all. He opened his eyes and looked at the person in front of him, his sleepy eyes filled with deep displeasure.

Fan Liuer had her back to him, so she couldn't see the expression on his face, but she could hear his impatience in his voice.

Feeling somewhat resentful, she blurted out, "Didn't Second Master say he wouldn't do anything to me? What is he doing now?"

Li Chenbi frowned, about to speak, when he noticed something.

A moment later, a blush appeared on his face.

This was the norm; it happened almost every morning when he woke up, and he was already used to it.

She shouldn't have brought it up; now that she has, he feels a little embarrassed.

He seemed to be in a very eager state.

"What are you thinking about? Your mind is full of filthy things!" He used disgust to cover up his unease, released Fan Liuer, and pushed her away a little.

Fan Liuer had never seen such a shameless person who turned the tables on her in her life.

How dare you say that her mind is full of filth when you yourself are in this state?

Who exactly has such a dirty mind?

She turned to look at Li Chenbi, her eyes wide open.

"What are you looking at!" Li Chenbi said irritably.

"You're so good-looking," Fan Liuer said through gritted teeth, suppressing her anger.

Li Chenbi could easily hear the dissatisfaction in her words; he felt embarrassed and annoyed.

He sat up, lifted Fan Liuer up, and got out of bed.

He carried her halfway, then, remembering something, he let go of her, returned to the bedside, picked up the coat she had taken off the night before, and threw it on her.

"Get dressed."

Fan Liuer was prepared to be thrown out by this person, but she didn't expect this to happen.

For a moment, I didn't know whether to curse him in my heart or praise him for being thoughtful.

He even knew to let her leave with dignity.

But even if you were dressed neatly and thrown out by him, you wouldn't look very presentable.

"What are you still standing there for? Do you really want me to throw you out?" Li Chenbi said unhappily again.

Fan Liuer dared not delay any longer, quickly dressed, and left.

She slept in this house last night. Regardless of whether anything happened between them, it certainly looked like something did happen in other people's eyes.

If someone were thrown out this early in the morning, who knows how many nasty things they'd say behind their back.

Although her reputation has been ruined by Li Chenbi, everyone still thinks she is one of Li Chenbi's people, and at least on the surface they are still polite to her.

If someone saw her being thrown out by Li Chenbi early in the morning, some snobbish servants might make things difficult for her.

A bad reputation is a small matter; a miserable life is a big deal.

Seeing the person running so fast, Li Chenbi felt a surge of anger welling up inside him.

Something just doesn't feel right.

He didn't want to see her, but he also wanted to drag her back and teach her a lesson.

After pacing back and forth a few times, he had nowhere to vent his anger, but without Fan Liuer around and unable to hold that cool body, the temperature around him began to rise.

It was hot and irritable, but in addition, another kind of heat was hitting us.

He lowered his eyes and stared for a moment, gritting his teeth inwardly.

He should have taught her a lesson!

After Fan Liuer left Li Chenbi's room, she came into view of a group of people standing in a row outside the door, each of them looking at her with a complicated expression.

Surprise, surprise, and awe—it was like watching some unparalleled landscape, leaving her completely bewildered.

She touched her face and asked softly, "Why is everyone looking at me like that?"

The maidservant who was fanning Li Chenbi exclaimed, "Madam Fan, what method did you use? Second Master didn't even call for ice last night."

Fan Liuer, who slept even more soundly than Li Chenbi last night, was completely bewildered.

She doesn't know anything.

Another maid said, "In the past, the Second Master would always call for Bing at night, and on the days when it was particularly hot, he would call for her several times a night. But from last night until now, he hasn't called for her even once. It's really strange."

A married servant whispered jokingly, "What do you girls know? Second Master is just in the mood and doesn't care."

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Chenbi's stern shout came from inside the room, "Guards!"

The voice had a menacing air about to unleash a storm, which startled everyone. Several people looked at Fan Liuer almost pleading for help.

But all I saw was a figure running away at top speed.

Fan Liuer didn't want to be sent back in to avoid bad luck again; at times like this, the farther away she was, the better.

Who knows what crazy thing Li Chenbi is up to this time?
