The rain was gradually subsiding, but the water on the streets was still flowing downhill.

Chen Hongwu bent down, grabbed Takano Sasaburo by the collar, and dragged him out from the base of the wall like a dead dog.

With a slump in his right shoulder and a push from his left arm, the body flew sideways and landed in the shadow of the narrow alley between the two shops.

"thump."

Deep in the alley, several pairs of eerie green eyes suddenly lit up.

Several stray dogs, drawn by the smell of blood, lay hidden in the shadows, too afraid to approach, waiting for the living person to leave.

Chen Hongwu didn't even look, and turned to walk towards the inn.

The rain was still falling, and the drizzle beat against his bare upper body, washing away the crisscrossing knife wounds until they turned white.

The skin and flesh on both sides of the wound rolled outwards, and the bleeding had already stopped, with only some light red blood flowing down the grooves of the skin.

He walked at a leisurely pace, each step he took into the puddles was measured precisely, as if he had known exactly where he was going.

At the entrance of the inn, Chen Hongwen paced back and forth, sometimes looking up at the rain, sometimes craning his neck to look out at the street corner.

"Why hasn't my brother come back yet? Could something have happened to him?"

"Uncle Li..."

Chen Shi squatted on the steps, his face tense, his hands gripping his trouser legs, his lips bitten until they turned white.

Li Yi leaned against the door with his arms crossed. "Don't worry, with your brother's abilities, there aren't many people in Shanghai who can keep him here."

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a figure appeared at the street corner.

Chen Hongwen was the first to rush out: "Big Brother!"

He took two steps and then suddenly stopped, his eyes widening instantly.

Looking Chen Hongwu up and down, one can see that the latter is covered in blood, his clothes are torn, and his chest, arms and shoulders are covered with knife wounds, as if he had been chopped more than a dozen times while being held on a chopping board.

"Big brother! You—" Chen Hongwen's lips trembled, and his eyes instantly reddened.

Chen Shi also ran over, looked up at the ripped wounds on Chen Hongwu's body, and her little face turned pale.

Li Yi opened his eyes, his gaze sweeping over Chen Hongwu's body. He only breathed a slight sigh of relief after confirming that none of the wounds had damaged his bones.

"Stop howling, you're just getting hurt." He said, turning around and calling out to the counter, "Hey buddy, boil some water and bring two more pots of iced tea."

Chen Hongwu raised his hand: "It's nothing."

After saying that, he stepped over the threshold and went straight upstairs.

Chen Hongwu entered the room and washed away the bloodstains on his body with hot water in a wooden basin. The water gurgled and the basin of clear water quickly turned pale red.

He changed the water and washed again until he was completely clean. Then he dried himself with a cloth and changed into a dry, moon-white short jacket.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, he pressed his right hand against the deepest cut under his ribs.

The wound, which had originally involved exposed, had now largely closed up.

As soon as Chen Hongwu had a thought, his blood and qi surged towards the wound like a tide, and a warm feeling rose up, as if an invisible hand was gently stitching it up.

In less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, only a faint red mark remained on the wound. Unless you looked closely, you wouldn't be able to tell that you had ever been injured.

When one achieves mastery of the Transformation Force, the Qi and blood throughout the body flow with the mind, and the tendons, bones, skin, and internal organs are all governed by the mind.

In this state, ordinary skin injuries, as long as they do not damage major arteries or internal organs, can be healed quickly by the body's own surging and circulating Qi and blood.

The boxing manual says: "The one who achieves neutralization is completely transparent, without the need for even a feather or a fly to land. Qi and blood are abundant and circulate continuously, preventing external injuries and all diseases."

Chen Hongwu got up and walked to the center of the room, with his feet shoulder-width apart, his tongue touching the roof of his mouth, and his teeth lightly tapping.

He slowly closed his eyes, his breathing becoming long and short, from slow to fast, and then from fast to slow, nine breaths in a stretch, and three long breaths sinking into his dantian.

A warm sensation gradually rose from my lower abdomen, like a spark igniting, and soon spread to my chest, abdomen, limbs, and even my fingertips and toes.

He slowly opened his boxing stance, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and assumed the starting position of the Xingyi San Ti stance.

Step forward half a step with your left foot, push off the ground with your right foot, lower your body slightly, arch and relax your spine, and wrap your arms around your body.

With just this one stance, one could feel that every inch of his body was neither loose nor crooked.

Immediately afterwards, he pushed his right palm forward, palm facing up and back of his hand facing down, his entire arm as if lifted from deep water, every movement causing subtle tremors in his fascia and ligaments.

His movements were not fast, but they carried a heavy sense of a flood gathering in the valley.

Push the palm all the way out, flip it into a fist, bring it back to your chest, and then push it out with your left palm.

The windows open and close alternately, like the tide, causing the air in the room to circulate and the paper windows to flutter slightly.

It is the "Banlan Chui" of the Five Fists of Tai Chi.

When soft, the palm is like a piece of cotton; when hard, the fist is like an iron drill.

With a punch, a short, deep thud echoed through the air, like muffled thunder in a valley, or water droplets hitting the wall of a deep well.

Chen Hongwu threw only five punches, and the whole room felt like it was filled with a warm breeze.

"Whoosh—"

He gripped the ground with his toes, his sac burst forth, and his whole body leaped forward half a step, unleashing a Xingyi Bengquan punch straight at his chest.

With that punch, every pore on his body bulged, and thousands of tiny dots under his skin rippled like waves. A visible white mist rose from his body, swirling like gauze.

Taoism says, "Refine essence into qi, refine qi into spirit, and refine spirit to return to emptiness."

Once the power is fully developed, the essence, energy, and spirit become one, permeating every pore of the body.

Pores are like orifices in a person; when the orifices are open, qi flows out, and when the orifices are closed, qi is blocked.

At this moment, every pore on Chen Hongwu's body opened and closed at will.

The instant this punch landed, tens of thousands of pores opened simultaneously, evaporating the boiling blood and qi within the body into water vapor, which then gushed out as white mist.

Once the force of the punch was fully gathered, the pores closed up again, the white mist immediately dissipated, and the clothes dried.

This opening and closing is in harmony with the breath of heaven and earth, and in communication with the tides of the sun and moon.

Sun Lutang once said in "The True Meaning of Boxing": "When the transformative power is achieved, the body is like an innocent child, and the mind is like a clear mirror. When the pores are open, clouds and mist rise and fall; when the pores are closed, not a drop is leaked."

Chen Hongwu did not stop his stance and continued to strike five more times.

Each palm technique and fist technique is different: Xingyi is followed by Bagua, Bagua is followed by Taiji, Taiji is followed by Xingyi again, and so on, endlessly.

Finally, the room was filled with white mist. Chen Hongwu stood in the mist, slowly put down his fist stance, pressed his palms down, and exhaled a long breath.

The heat emanated from the air, shooting straight out the door and lingering for a long time.

"This is the Transformation Realm." Chen Hongwu opened his eyes, his gaze clear and bright, and a thunderous sound still lingered between his bones.

Not a single feather can be added, not a single fly can land!

In front of the gate of a secluded mansion in the French Concession.

A black sedan slowly came to a stop. The driver jumped out, opened an umbrella, and Huang Jinrong climbed out from the back seat.

The door to the courtyard house opened, and a servant dressed in a blue robe stepped out, bowing and saying, "Boss Huang has arrived?"

With a broad smile, Huang Jinrong pulled out a stack of silver notes from his pocket and stuffed them into the servant's hand, saying, "This is a small token of my appreciation; I hope you will accept it."

The servant beamed, accepted the silver note, and turned his back to Huang Jinrong, saying, "Boss Huang, please come inside."

Led by his servants, Huang Jinrong passed through three corridors and arrived at the main hall.

There are people in the hall.

Huang Jinrong's eyelids twitched, he stepped over the threshold, and knelt down with a thud, wailing, "Your humble servant Huang Jinrong begs Your Excellency to grant me justice!"
