The first and second year high school students haven't started school yet; only the third year high school students are here today, and they're all in class right now.

Jiang Guanqing wasn't in a hurry. He watched Jiang Ning run towards the teaching building and then slowly walked towards the dormitory building.

We passed by Swan Lake on the way. The lake was already frozen over, and the black swans had all taken refuge in their huts.

The outside temperature was low, and the wind blowing in his face was cool, but Jiang Guanqing felt a sense of peace that he hadn't felt in a long time.

A few minutes later, Jiang Guanqing stood at the door of dormitory 402, pressed his finger on the doorknob, and pushed the door open.

The dormitory is spacious, with four people per room, a private bathroom, a small balcony, and bunk beds with desks underneath. Each bed has a built-in wardrobe and bookshelf at the foot of it.

The bed on the right by the window belongs to Jiang Ning. Jiang Guanqing walked over and glanced at the bed briefly.

The sheets and blankets were dark gray, crumpled and lumped at the foot of the bed, and a Bluetooth earphone case and a half-pack of tissues were lying next to the pillow.

Jiang Guanqing frowned slightly. Xiao Ning didn't bring a change of bedding today. If she doesn't become a day student, will she still be using this blanket that she hasn't slept in for more than ten days?

Jiang Guanqing turned his gaze to the bookshelf, a three-tiered open design with a few books scattered on top, looking rather empty.

Those books were all related to law: *Interpretation of Legal Codes*, *Case Analysis of Criminal Law*, *Legal English*, etc.

Jiang Guanqing casually picked up a book, flipped through it, and saw that Jiang Ning must have been reading it very carefully. Each page had notes and insights written by Jiang Ning, and there was even a grinning monster drawn next to the title page.

Jiang Guanqing and the monster exchanged a glance, and a smile appeared on his lips. Xiao Ning is so cute.

At the bottom of the bookshelf was a stack of exercise books, which looked somewhat familiar, like the ones he had bought for Xiao Ning last time. Jiang Guanqing picked one up and flipped through it. The exercise book was spotless, without a single drop of ink on it, and Jiang Ning hadn't touched it at all.

Jiang Guanqing put the workbook back. Xiao Ning wasn't complaining that the exercises from school weren't challenging enough; she was just lazy, a real lazybones.

The desktop was clean, with a computer keyboard and mouse, and a water glass half-filled with water, on the surface of which was a layer of visible dust.

Jiang Guanqing frowned again, his gaze sweeping over the other three beds. Everyone's bookshelves were full, and their desks were decorated with dolls, ornaments, small calendars, and snacks. In comparison, Jiang Ning's home seemed rather bare.

Jiang Guanqing sighed softly, feeling that Xiao Ning had taken such poor care of him. He took out his suitcase and placed it by the bed. Then, Jiang Guanqing began to pack his clothes, folding each piece neatly and placing them into the suitcase.

Jiang Ning returned to the classroom with a backpack full of homework. As soon as she entered, the classroom erupted in chatter.

When Zhu Guangbai saw Jiang Ning arrive, he eagerly approached him and said, "Boss, the final grades have been released, and a lot of people are saying you cheated."

Jiang Ning plopped down in her seat, somewhat speechless. "Just bored and have nothing better to do."

Zhu Guangbai nodded repeatedly, "That's right, that's right."

Jiang Ning waved her hand, "Go back to your seat, I'm going to sleep."

"Okay."

Jiang Ning stuffed her schoolbag into her pocket, put her arm under her head, buried her head, and went to "renew her romance" with the Duke of Zhou.

"Bang—"

"Holy shit."

The table was kicked hard and moved forward a few centimeters. Jiang Ning, who was in her sleep, trembled and stood up in fright.

Jiang Ning opened her eyes and looked at the person who had kicked the table. "Fu Yushu, are you sick in the head?"

Damn, my arm is numb from using it as a pillow.

Jiang Ning shook his hand, furious. He was sleeping soundly, was he crazy to kick his table like that?

Did you cheat on your final exam last semester?

Fu Yushu's first words were a question.

Jiang Ning picked at her ear, somewhat incredulous, "What's it to you!"

"Cheating on exams violates school rules and regulations. If everyone cheated like you, what would happen to those who study hard and diligently?"

Fu Yushu spoke with righteous indignation and his voice was so loud that students from other classes in the corridor began to peek in.

Jiang Ning laughed angrily, "If you don't have a brain, then fill it with water. If you don't have evidence, then stop spouting nonsense."

Fu Yushu's eyes reddened as he recalled Nan Yun'er's tearful voice on the phone. "Yun'er came back specifically to take the exam last semester, turned down three gigs, and insisted on finishing the exam even with a fever of 39 degrees Celsius. And what happened? Now there are a lot of people online criticizing her."

Jiang Ning rubbed her numb arm, as if she were cracking open Fu Yushu's head with a walnut to see if it was full of disgusting, unidentified objects. "Oh, she failed the exam, and then she says I cheated? What does that have to do with me?"

Fu Yushu choked back tears as she spoke, "Don't you know what your grades were like before? Last in the grade! Suddenly you've improved by hundreds of places, what else could it be but cheating?"

Jiang Ning ignored Fu Yushu, plopped back down in her seat, crossed her legs, and acted all high and mighty. "Can't I write it if I don't want to before? What's wrong with that? Are you afraid I'll plagiarize you? Idiot."

"you--"

Fu Yushu was furious and pointed his index finger directly at Jiang Ning.

Jiang Ning slapped it away, "Try pointing that lousy finger at me again!"

Jiang Ning took out her phone and flipped through it, then suddenly laughed. "Nam Yoon-ah herself fabricated her 'academic genius' persona and it backfired, so what? You feel sorry for her? Fine, aren't you rich? Just hire some online trolls."

"What gives you the right to say that about her...?"

"Then what gives you the right to say that about me? What do I have to do with you?"

Fu Yushu's face turned ashen.

"And if you kick my table again next time, I'll let you experience what it's like to be last place, physically speaking."

A low, questioning voice came from behind, "Brother Ning, what does that mean?"

Jiang Ning glanced at the boy, a smile playing on her lips. "If I beat him so badly he can't take the exam, he'll be last in the class."

Scattered suppressed laughs could be heard from the surrounding area.

Fu Yushu stood frozen in place, then kicked the empty stool next to him hard and slammed the door shut as he left.

Jiang Ning saw the boy who had just spoken give him a thumbs up, slightly raise his chin, straighten the table that had been kicked askew, and then lie back down.

Within two minutes, the class fell silent, and then Jiang Ning received a slap on the back of the head.

"Damn it, who is it?" Jiang Ning was furious. Once, twice, is it going to happen a third time?

Meng Su held a textbook and looked at Jiang Ning seriously, "You brat, you're sleeping on the first day of school? You haven't had enough sleep during the whole winter break."

Jiang Ning nodded honestly, "Winter break is only a few days long, who's going to sleep enough?"

"You dare talk back? Go stand in the hallway and I'll deal with you after I've finished arranging things."

Jiang Ning walked slowly towards the door with her hands in her pockets.

Meng Su knew Jiang Ning's temperament all too well and was already used to it. He only asked Jiang Ning to go out because he had some things to discuss with her. He gave the class representative a few instructions and then left.

Jiang Guanqing was unaware of what was happening to Jiang Ning. He was diligently packing his younger brother's luggage, but the more he packed, the more his brows furrowed.

The wardrobe in the dormitory is very large, but the clothes that Jiang Ning hung on the hangers are still quite decent, except for the huge pile of clothes at the bottom.

The clothes were wrinkled, and some even had paper and stains in the pockets.

Did they just pile this in without washing it?
