My younger brothers are so fierce!!! I'm clearly the eldest brother!

Chapter 235 Extra: The Person You'll Never Wait For

Bai Xin, who was driving to the villa, suddenly received a special notification.

While waiting at a red light, Bai Xin picked up his phone to look at it. He was shocked when he saw it, and his face turned deathly pale.

It was a message from Jiang Guanqing's number, an emergency call for help, with a location tag attached—it was the villa.

Bai Xin put down his phone. It happened to be a green light, so he drove towards the villa while keeping to the speed limit.

Bai Xin and the ambulance arrived at the villa one after the other.

Bai Xin led his men to Jiang Guanqing's room. When they saw him lying on the ground with blue lips, his legs went weak. He struggled to cooperate with the medical staff in performing first aid.

Thanks to timely emergency treatment, Jiang Guanqing is no longer in immediate danger.

The officers thought it was just a regular emergency call, but they didn't expect that after Jiang Guan regained consciousness, he would tell them something else.

A terrifying doll appeared out of nowhere in the room.

When the police returned to the villa, they did find the strange sewn-together doll on Jiang Guanqing's bed, but they couldn't find any useful information about it.

An elevator, a mirror, and a doll. When these three things came together, Jiang Guanqing realized something was wrong, but everything was too mysterious; he had no evidence.

During the days he was hospitalized, Bai Xin stayed by his side every step of the way, her eyes full of worry.

"Bai Xin, do you believe me?"

Bai Xin paused in his fruit-cutting motion, then said without hesitation, "I believe you."

"But you have no idea what I'm going to say."

"I'll believe whatever you say," Bai Xin silently added in his mind, except for matters concerning your own body.

Jiang Guanqing pursed her lips and, feigning nonchalance, told Bai Xin about the elevator, the mirror, and the doll as a story.

"Isn't that ridiculous?"

As soon as Jiang Guanqing finished speaking, he was pulled into a warm embrace.

"Don't be afraid, I'll protect you from now on."

Jiang Guanqing felt a warmth in her heart and nodded gently, the emptiness and panic that had been weighing on her heart fading somewhat.

Bai Xin moved back into the villa. Fearing another accident, he moved directly into the sofa in Jiang Guanqing's bedroom. Jiang Guanqing declined several times, saying it wasn't necessary, but Bai Xin wouldn't listen.

Bai Xin's presence is useful, but not much.

When Jiang Guanqing washes herself, the water from the tap turns blood red. She's awakened in the middle of the night by strange noises, and two blood-red eyes appear on the windowpane. When she goes to the bookshelf to get a book, she brings out a nest of spiders. A snake as thick as a wrist suddenly appears a few steps from the courtyard gate into the house, crawling past Jiang Guanqing's feet.

For emergency cardiac medication, Jiang Guanqing takes five or six tablets a day. Even regular medications shouldn't be taken this much, let alone emergency medications.

Jiang Guanqing was taken to the hospital by Bai Xin. Yu Zheqing, Xie Xuansheng, and Shangguan Zhenghuai took turns looking after him after hearing about his condition.

Bai Xin told Shangguan Zhenghuai and the other two everything that had recently happened to Jiang Guanqing in detail.

Although it sounded like a fictional story, the three of them believed it and later witnessed this indescribable strangeness with their own eyes.

The villa underwent a professional deep cleaning, which was personally overseen by Bai Xin and his team. Pest and snake control measures were also implemented around the villa and its yard.

Before Jiang Guanqing washed up, Bai Xin and the others would go in first to check everything and make sure there were no problems before letting Jiang Guanqing in. This should have been foolproof, but problems kept arising.

The strangest thing is that they can see these strange things with their own eyes when they are with Jiang Guanqing, but outsiders can't see them, and even the surveillance cameras can't record them.

Bai Xin and the others didn't know that they could only see a small part of the situation; there were many things they couldn't see or hear.

Bai Xin and his group increased their protective measures. If materialism wouldn't work, they'd try something unscientific.

Shangguan Zhenghuai used many connections to invite highly respected monks and Taoist masters to perform rituals throughout the villa. Jiang Guanqing carried Buddhist beads on his person and stuffed talismans under his pillow.

But it was of no use at all.

Yu Zheqing started searching for folk remedies online. He hung a long string of garlic on the villa's front door and Jiang Guanqing's bedroom door. He also found a way to buy an electric baton. Every time Jiang Guanqing was about to go to sleep, Yu Zheqing would drag Xie Xuansheng along and wave the electric baton around in the air, trying to electrocute those unseen strange things.

I mixed up a bunch of random things, like pomelo leaves, mugwort, glutinous rice, and a peach wood sword.

Jiang Guanqing looked at the talismans pasted everywhere and couldn't help but smile. Although Bai Xin and the others seemed to be grasping at straws in their desperation, they were genuinely worried about him.

Bai Xin and the other three guarded the area closely, but the situation did not improve. Jiang Guanqing's health deteriorated, to the point where he would be out of breath after walking just a few steps, and his weight was dropping every day.

Bai Xin and the other three all have their own jobs. Seeing them taking time off work, not eating well, and not sleeping well because of him, I feel sorry for them.

Jiang Guanqing felt increasingly uneasy.

To avoid worrying them, Jiang Guanqing began to pretend.

In the middle of the night, Jiang Guanqing was awakened by a piercing sound, like tree branches scraping against glass, one scratch after another.

Jiang Guanqing's body tensed, his hands gripping the blanket so tightly they turned white. In order not to wake Bai Xin on the sofa, Jiang Guanqing suppressed his fear and slowly pulled the blanket over his head.

The taste of blood filled his mouth. Jiang Guanqing closed his eyes tightly and tried to calm his breathing.

I will not listen, I will not look, I will not think.

In the darkness, Jiang Guanqing counted her heartbeats.

17,432, 17,433...

I don't know how long I counted, but finally it was dawn.

Hearing Bai Xin rustling as she got out of bed, Jiang Guanqing moved her stiff body, pretending to have just woken up.

"Good morning, Mr. Jiang. Did anything strange happen last night?"

Jiang Guanqing's voice was a little hoarse, "Good morning, I slept very well last night."

Bai Xin stared at Jiang Guanqing for several seconds before nodding.

The days passed by.

One morning, Yu Zheqing asked in surprise, "Has that strange thing left? We haven't seen anything strange lately."

As soon as Yu Zheqing finished speaking, everyone's eyes fell on Jiang Guanqing.

Jiang Guanqing nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes, I haven't seen anything strange for the past few days."

Shangguan Zhenghuai stroked his chin. "It must be my grapefruit juice that's working."

Yu Zheqing retorted, "I could say it was my peach wood sword that worked."

……

After the two finished arguing, Jiang Guanqing took the opportunity to express his thoughts, "I'm fine here, you don't need to watch over me every day anymore, that's too tiring."

Xie Xuansheng shook his head, "Let's wait two more days to confirm."

"it is good."

Three days later, Jiang Guanqing's acting skills were a resounding success for the first time, and Yu Zheqing and the others believed that everything was getting better.

After seeing that Jiang Guanqing was really alright, Yu Zheqing, Xie Xuansheng, and Shangguan Zhenghuai all went back to work. Bai Xin also had to go back to the company to handle a batch of urgent documents.

Jiang Guanqing secretly went to the hospital alone.

The doctor looked at the test report in front of him, his brows furrowed.

The clock in the consultation room ticked away, each tick seeming to fall on Jiang Guanqing's heart.

Jiang Guanqing sat upright opposite the doctor. Seeing the doctor's increasingly serious expression, Jiang Guanqing's hands, which were resting on his knees, clenched slightly.

It seems to have gotten worse again.
