Everyone was stunned by these words.

Wu Gang shook his head repeatedly: "Nonsense, how could sea creatures know how to guide people to find fish?"

"Brother Gang, you can't say for sure."

Wu Lei leaned halfway out of the driver's seat. "Ah Sui called it just now, and it came over, didn't it? This thing is really smart!"

Wu Sui stared at the small sperm whale that kept turning its head on the sea ahead, and he couldn't help but feel uneasy.

Lead the way to find fish?

Such things do happen in the legends of beachcombing. Some old fishermen say that if they save a sea turtle or dolphin, the turtle or dolphin will repay the favor by herding a school of fish into their nets.

But legends are legends, and when you actually encounter one, nobody knows for sure.

Seeing that Wu Sui remained silent for a long time, Chen Yang anxiously gave him a push.

"Brother-in-law, should we follow it or not? It's gone too far!"

Wu Sui snapped out of his daze, wiped the water off his face, and turned to shout at the driver's seat.

"Brother Lei, let's follow them and take a look."

Wu Lei was taken aback: "Really?"

"Follow!" Wu Sui answered decisively. "Dazhu and Xiaoyang, get the trawling net ready."

Upon receiving the instruction, Wu Lei immediately stepped on the gas.

Wu Gang frowned, opened his mouth as if to stop Wu Sui, but seeing his second son's serious expression, he swallowed his words.

He turned and climbed into the cockpit, staring at the fuel consumption and flight path on the dashboard.

"Lei, don't drive too fast. Don't risk getting the boat caught in the crossfire while chasing some bastard."

"Brother Gang, I know what I'm doing."

The baby sperm whale remained to the right front of the fishing boat, moving at a moderate speed.

Every few dozen meters it swims, it sticks its head out and looks back. Only when it sees the fishing boat following it does it continue swimming forward.

Chen Yang lay on the side of the boat, rubbing his hands together excitedly.

"Brother Dazhu, do you believe it or not, this little guy is definitely leading us to a school of fish!"

Wang Dazhu was tidying up the netting when he glanced up at the sea, his face full of worry.

"Don't get too excited, kid. If a whole bunch of whales were having a meeting up ahead, and we scooped up some baby whales with our net, we'd be in big trouble."

Chen Yang dismissed it and waved his hand dismissively.

"Impossible, my brother-in-law saved it, it's just repaying the favor."

The boat had been sailing for more than half an hour, and its course had long since deviated from the originally planned trawling area.

Just as Wu Gang was about to step forward and call for a halt, the baby sperm whale in front of them suddenly stopped.

It kept circling on the surface of the sea, emitting short, sharp cries.

Wu Sui stood at the bow of the ship and activated the system radar with a thought.

The seascape within a 500-meter radius unfolds.

Right in front of the fishing boat, underwater, a dense cluster of green lights was gathered, covering an area several times larger than the previous school of mackerel.

Wu Sui took a deep breath, turned around and shouted at the deck.

"Disconnect from the internet!"

Wu Gang paused for a moment, then leaned out of the driver's seat.

"Second brother, there's not even a fish in this water, are you sure?"

"Get off the internet!" Wu Sui said firmly without explanation.

Without further hesitation, Wu Gang turned around and took over command.

"Lei, maintain the boat's speed! Dazhu, Xiaoyang, cast the net!"

The winch turned, and the steel cable, carrying the fishing net, slid "whoosh" into the sea.

Chen Yongqiang carefully inspected each float and sinker to ensure that the net opening could be fully opened.

The baby sperm whale did not leave, but retreated to a place several hundred meters away, where it bobbed up and down on the sea surface.

"Brother Lei, steer to the left and avoid that direction."

Wu Sui pointed to the sperm whale in the distance, "Don't sweep the net over there."

The fishing boat traced a semicircle on the sea surface and began its work, dragging heavy fishing nets.

Time passed second by second.

It only took less than half an hour.

Wu Sui kept his eyes glued to the radar screen, watching as the huge green dot of light was caught in the net, and decisively waved his hand.

"Raise the net!"

Wu Gang glanced at the watch, his face full of doubt.

"Second brother, getting up already? Only half an hour, how much cargo can you possibly have?"

"Enough stock, move!"

Wu Gang stopped talking nonsense and made a gesture to Chen Yongqiang.

The winch roared to life again.

This time, it was clearly different from the usual trawling.

"Click click click..."

The net-lifting machine emitted a heavy, humming sound, and the steel wire ropes connecting the net bags were taut.

The expressions on everyone's faces on the deck changed.

Wu Gang, being the most experienced, immediately brightened up upon hearing the commotion.

"Holy crap, they have it!"

He rushed to the net-raising machine and grabbed Chen Yongqiang's shoulder.

"Yongqiang, stay calm, take it slow, don't use brute force. There are too many things in this net, don't tear it!"

Chen Yongqiang was sweating profusely with nervousness as he operated the network machine.

As the steel cable tightened inch by inch, the seawater began to churn violently.

The net bag finally broke through the water.

The entire net was stretched taut and round, with seawater gushing out through the mesh.

Even before it's been untied, just looking at its size, it must weigh at least four or five tons.

"My goodness." Chen Yang swallowed hard. "This half hour was even more intense than our usual four hours."

Wang Dazhu was so excited that he kept rubbing his hands together.

The net bag was slowly hoisted to the top of the deck.

Several people stood below, none daring to go up and untie the knots, fearing they would have bad luck and unravel another net of worthless fish.

"Brother-in-law, you untie it." Chen Yang took a step back, making room for him. "You're the one who found this internet, so you have to set it up."

The others stared at Wu Sui, their meaning all too clear.

Wu Sui didn't refuse. He stepped forward, grabbed the slipknot at the bottom of the net, and pulled hard.

"Splash..."

It was as if a silver rainstorm had fallen.

Fish poured out of the net and piled up into a small mountain on the deck.

These fish are entirely silvery-white with a faint bluish-gray tinge on their backs, gleaming brilliantly in the sunlight.

There was silence on the deck for a full three seconds.

Immediately afterwards, a deafening cheer erupted.

"Silver pomfret, it's all silver pomfret!"

Wu Gang jumped and leaped excitedly, rushed to the pile of fish, grabbed a fish, and grinned from ear to ear.

This is a silver pomfret, also known locally as white pomfret or mirror fish.

Although this thing is not as valuable as the netted pomfret, it is definitely a hard currency in the seafood market.

Silver pomfret has tender flesh and few bones, and it tastes delicious whether steamed or pan-fried.

Almost everyone who loves seafood loves silver pomfret.

Most importantly, the fish in this net are all extremely uniform in size, and any one of them weighs more than half a pound.

"I'm rich! I'm rich!" Chen Yang jumped up and down on the deck excitedly.

He suddenly remembered something, rushed to the ship's side, grabbed the railing, and shouted at the top of his lungs at the little sperm whale in the distance.

"Brother Whale, you're like a brother to me. From now on, you'll be the ancestor of our ship."

Wang Dazhu and Chen Yongqiang laughed along, quickly grabbing sorting baskets and getting ready to work.

Wu Sui walked to the side of the ship, looked at the little sperm whale that was still peeking out of the sea in the distance, and waved to it with a smile.

"Alright, go back and play. Don't run around like that next time."

The baby sperm whale seemed to understand, leaping out of the water and forcefully slapping its tail in the air, creating a large splash of white water.

Then it plunged into the deep sea and disappeared completely.

"Get to work! These four tons of silver pomfret can fetch at least a hundred thousand!" Wu Gang shouted, full of enthusiasm.

Wu Sui looked at the busy crowd and was about to turn off the system radar to help.

Wu Lei, however, called him into the driver's seat, pointed to the radar, and told him to look at it.
