Wu Sui's shout startled everyone on the deck.

"Brother Sui, what's the point of keeping this piece of junk?"

"It was full of mud, dead fish and shrimp, and it stank."

"We don't have much space on our ship to begin with, we can't exactly take the trash back with us, can we?"

Wu Gang walked over with the water hose, glanced at the pile of garbage, and frowned as well.

"Second brother, you don't intend to take the trash back with you, do you?"

"In the past, when we went out to sea, we would just kick these pieces of junk back into the sea."

"The ocean is boundless, what's a few things thrown in?"

Wu Sui didn't rush to get angry, nor did she immediately scold him.

He stepped forward, bent down, and picked up the bass from the fish basket next to him.

"Brother, Yongqiang, look at this fish."

Wu Sui held the fish up to the two of them.

"If this fish hadn't gotten tangled in this lousy net, it could have sold for a good price, right?"

"And now? The meat's all rotten; it's questionable whether anyone's even interested."

He casually tossed the fish back into the basket and pointed to the pile of trash on the deck.

"Let's find this troublesome today and throw this tattered net back into the sea."

"Tomorrow it will drift with the ocean current and might entangle another big yellow croaker."

"We all depend on the sea for our livelihood. If the sea becomes a garbage dump and all the fish disappear, what will we catch in the future?"

Wu Sui's words were straightforward, devoid of any profound principles, and every sentence hit the nail on the head regarding money.

Although Wu Gang felt that he was exaggerating, the resources in the nearshore area have indeed not been as good as before in recent years.

As a country develops and people's living standards improve, all kinds of garbage are generated.

Although people are being urged to pay attention to hygiene everywhere, very few people really care about the trash in the sea.

"Yongqiang, put that thing down. We can't do something that will wipe out our lineage."

Chen Yongqiang scratched his head, his face slightly red.

"Brother Sui, Brother Gang, I didn't think that much about it, I just thought it smelled terrible."

"We have to clean it up, even if it smells bad." Wu Sui turned around and called to everyone.

"Dazhu, go get a few empty burlap sacks. Xiaoyang, don't just stand there, fill this pile of garbage up."

Wang Dazhu responded and quickly ran to the storage compartment to rummage through several snakeskin bags.

Several people surrounded the pile of foul-smelling garbage and began to clean it up.

"My goodness, this smell is so strong, it's even more intoxicating than a latrine."

Chen Yang pinched his nose, pulled out a piece of broken foam board covered with oysters, and threw it into the bag.

"Don't just complain about how smelly it is, watch your hands," Wu Sui reminded him.

There's everything in the garbage dump.

Abandoned crab traps, broken nylon ropes, tattered plastic buckets, wire...

Wang Dazhu had just reached out to grab a rope when he was grazed by a wire, but luckily he wasn't seriously injured.

"Who the hell is so inconsiderate as to throw barbed wire into the sea!"

Chen Yongqiang was squatting at the front, struggling to untangle a wad of plastic bags.

A strong, putrid stench hit him, almost making him vomit.

It's obvious that some passing ship dumped its garbage directly into the sea.

Seeing this, Chen Yongqiang's anger flared up instantly.

He had just thought it was a hassle to take the trash back, but now that he saw these things truly harming the ocean, he was so angry that he started cursing.

"Damn, these sons are all born without an anus!"

While cursing, Chen Yongqiang stuffed the plastic bag into the snakeskin bag.

"If I ever see anyone littering at sea again, I'll ram them with my boat!"

Wu Sui looked at Chen Yongqiang and nodded inwardly.

Only by letting them do it themselves and see the harm of this garbage with their own eyes can they truly learn their lesson.

It took more than half an hour to finally clean up the trash on the deck, filling four or five burlap sacks.

All that was left was that pitiful catch, only about two or three hundred pounds.

"Brother-in-law, we've worked for nothing for the past four hours. The catch we've made won't even cover the cost of the gas."

Chen Yang sighed. The excitement he felt from catching a net full of black bulls had been dampened considerably by this net full of trash and small fish.

Wu Sui walked over, patted him on the shoulder, and said with a smile, "Don't act innocent after getting the benefit."

"We're so close to the dock, we were just trying our luck by casting a net."

"Don't you have a good idea how much money you made on this voyage, with that catch of black bull and silver pomfret?"

"One should not be too greedy. Even if God gives you a lot of food, you should still leave some for others."

Upon hearing Wu Sui's comment, Chen Yang chuckled.

"Yeah, we struck it rich this time. I'm going to ask my sister for an extra chicken leg when we get back."

Everyone laughed, and the atmosphere on the deck relaxed again.

While everyone was there, Wu Sui walked to the middle of the deck and stood on an overturned empty fish basket.

He clapped his hands, signaling everyone to be quiet.

"Now that I have some free time, I'd like to make an announcement."

Wu Sui's voice wasn't loud, but it carried a serious tone.

Wu Gang leaned against the door frame of the driver's cab, lit a cigarette, and listened quietly.

"Starting today, we'll establish a new rule on our ship."

Wu Sui held up one finger.

"First, no one is allowed to throw any garbage generated on board into the sea. Collect it all and bring it back to the dock."

He raised his second finger.

"Secondly, no matter what kind of trash we pull up with the net, even a piece of rag, once it's on our deck, we're not allowed to kick it back into the sea."

Wu Sui's gaze swept over Chen Yang, Wang Dazhu, and Chen Yongqiang.

"I'm setting this rule up here, and I'm making it clear from the outset."

"If anyone finds it troublesome and secretly throws trash into the sea and I catch them, the first time, I'll deduct their entire day's wages."

"If they repeatedly break the rule and do it a second time..."

Wu Sui paused for a moment, then emphasized in his tone.

"Then don't blame me for being ruthless. Don't board my ship anymore."

There was a few seconds of silence on the deck after he said that.

Withholding wages is a minor issue; being denied boarding the ship is a major issue that could cost you your job.

Who doesn't know that going to sea with Wu Sui can make a fortune?

Everyone readily agreed and nodded in agreement.

After the rules were established, the atmosphere on the ship became even more harmonious.

Everyone felt reassured, knowing that working for such a boss was a long-term and reliable path.

The fishing boats continued to cut through the waves.

As darkness fell, fishing lights began to twinkle on the sea.

Around 8 p.m., the fishing boat finally entered the waters near the town's pier.

Wu Sui took out his phone and dialed home to let his family know he was safe.

The phone was answered after ringing twice.

"Ah Sui? Where are you?" Chen Xue's voice was filled with anxiety and anticipation.

"We're almost at the shore. We'll be entering port in half an hour." Hearing his wife's voice, Wu Sui felt much of the day's fatigue dissipate.

"Did it go smoothly? Nothing went wrong, right?"

"Everything went very smoothly, a bumper harvest," Wu Sui reassured with a smile.

"Tell Mom and Dad that I'll probably be busy until midnight tonight, so don't wait up for me for dinner and go to bed early."

"Okay, then take care of yourself and don't overwork yourself."

After hanging up the phone, Wu Sui found Lin Tao's number and dialed it.

Lin Tao guessed he was free and answered immediately.

"Sui, how was your harvest today?"

"Brother Tao, let's call a few more people over to help unload the goods. Everyone's exhausted today."
