The speedboat pulled alongside the large ship.

Wu Sui climbed up the gangway to the deck, secretly admiring the view.

This ship is huge; both sides of the hull are covered with gun turret supports.

Big Bear, holding a megaphone, stood on the second deck and shouted.

"Bosses, let's set sail immediately!"

"It will take about fourteen hours to get to the first fishing spot from here. We won't arrive until midnight tonight."

"Everyone, take your number tags and find your beds in the cabin. Get a good night's sleep and recharge!"

Wu Sui turned his head and glanced at the number plate in Chen Ping's hand, which read "22".

He grabbed Lin Tao, who was about to walk into the cabin.

"Brother Tao, go ask Big Bear for help and move Brother Chen to our room."

Lin Tao was stunned for a moment, then glanced at Chen Ping not far away and immediately understood Wu Sui's meaning.

Wu Sui is trying to befriend this researcher.

"Leave it to me." Lin Tao patted his chest and turned to find Da Xiong.

Lin Tao is a shrewd person; this kind of thing is his specialty.

He pulled Big Bear to a corner and skillfully stuffed two packs of Zhonghua cigarettes into Big Bear's pocket.

"Brother Xiong, can you do me a favor? My friend gets terribly seasick, and I'm worried he might fall off the top bunk in the middle of the night."

"Could you please make an exception and move number 22 to our room?"

Big Bear refused to take his cigarettes, so he agreed.

Such things are quite common on boats. People who come together for fun but don't stay together can adjust to each other's situation without any major issues.

A short while later, Chen Ping changed his number and carried his luggage into the cabin.

They booked a six-person room.

There were three bunk beds on each side against the wall, with only a narrow aisle in the middle.

Wu Sui pointed to a lower bunk near the door.

"Brother Chen, the sea is rough, you can sleep on the lower bunk, and Brother Tao and I can sleep on the upper bunk."

Chen Ping was a little embarrassed and waved his hands repeatedly.

"Oh, I can't accept that. My number is for the upper bunk..."

"When you're traveling, you should take care of each other." Without waiting for a reply, Wu Sui picked up Chen Ping's bag and placed it on the lower bunk.

"Your research is mentally taxing, so you need to get some rest. That's settled then."

Chen Ping couldn't refuse, so he could only nod gratefully.

"Brother Wu, thank you so much. If there's anything I can do for you in the future, please don't hesitate to ask."

Wu Sui smiled and waved his hand, then turned and climbed up to the upper bunk.

A short while later, three more people entered the cabin. They all looked quite young and were chattering away.

Lin Tao was also someone who couldn't sit still. After lying there for more than ten hours, it would be too boring, so he started chatting with the three young men.

As they chatted, the group suggested playing cards.

Wu Sui preferred to ignore it. In his past life, gambling ruined his whole family. In this life, he neither hated nor had any interest in playing cards.

A few people got together and suggested going to a restaurant to play cards to pass the time.

He waved his hand, telling Lin Tao and the others to go play by themselves, and then turned to call Chen Ping.

"Brother Chen, it's stuffy in the cabin, want to go up to the deck for some fresh air?"

Chen Ping was tidying up his notebook when he heard this and closed his pen cap.

"Okay, I'll go outside and take a look too."

The two climbed the stairs to the deck one after the other.

A sea breeze blew in his face as Wu Sui leaned against the railing, watching the white waves rolling on both sides of the ship.

He secretly made a mental estimate.

The ship's current speed is about four or five knots.

This ship is large and has a deep draft; its normal cruising speed should be able to reach ten to twelve knots.

Once I've made enough money, I'll build myself a big ocean-going fishing boat like this.

It can withstand wind and waves, and you can go to whichever sea you want.

"Brother Wu, what are you thinking about?" Chen Ping handed over a bottle of mineral water.

Wu Sui unscrewed the bottle cap and took a sip.

"It's nothing, I just feel envious looking at this big ship."

"Brother Chen, do you usually use these kinds of ships when your research institute goes out to sea?"

"We have a dedicated research vessel," Chen Ping said, adjusting his thick glasses.

"However, sometimes we also use these commercial fishing boats to collect specific data."

Just then, a burst of laughter came from not far away.

Several men who looked like big bosses were taking pictures with their scantily clad female companions at the bow of the boat.

The women posed in various ways, while the men snapped photos incessantly.

As Wu Sui watched that scene, he suddenly remembered the camera in Lin Tao's bag.

"Brother Chen, wait for me a moment."

Wu Sui turned around and went into the cabin, heading straight for the restaurant.

Lin Tao was playing cards with three young men, shouting and yelling.

"Brother Tao, can I borrow your camera?"

Lin Tao didn't even look up: "It's in your suitcase. Go get it yourself."

Wu Sui took out his camera, hung it around his neck, and went back to the deck.

"Brother Chen, come here, let me take a picture of you."

Chen Ping waved his hand somewhat awkwardly.

"I'll pass, what's so interesting about filming this?"

"It's not easy to come out like this, let's keep a memento." Without further ado, Wu Sui pressed the shutter.

"After I get off the ship, I'll develop the photos and send them to you."

Seeing this, Chen Ping stopped refusing and generously stood by the railing to let Wu Sui take a few pictures.

Then, Chen Ping took the camera and took two solo photos of Wu Sui.

The two sat on the deck, enjoying the sea breeze, chatting casually about the habits of deep-sea fish.

Before we knew it, it was noon.

Big Bear's voice came over the loudspeaker, announcing that everyone should go to the restaurant for lunch.

Wu Sui and Chen Ping returned to the restaurant.

Lunch is served individually, consisting of four dishes and a soup, served on stainless steel plates.

The dishes were quite plentiful, including braised pork, stir-fried greens, a steamed sea fish, and a bowl of seaweed and egg drop soup.

Wu Sui picked up her plate, found an empty seat, and sat down. Instead of picking up her chopsticks, she raised her camera and snapped a picture of the food.

Lin Tao brought over the plate, plopped down next to him, and looked disgusted.

"Ah Sui, did a strong wind blow this film roll away? It's fine to photograph people, but what's the point of photographing a plate of food? It's a waste."

Wu Sui put down his camera, picked up his chopsticks, and ate a mouthful of rice.

"Brother Tao, you don't understand. This is my first time going out to sea. I have to record everything, from eating and drinking to using the toilet. This is called living."

"Come on, you're kidding me." Lin Tao curled his lip, picked up a piece of braised pork and stuffed it into his mouth. "Wait until we get to the fishing spot and we catch a big catch, then you can take pictures. That'll be truly impressive."

After lunch, the large ship continued sailing on the sea.

As we got further and further away from the coastline, the waves on the sea became noticeably larger.

The ship began to rock, and the amplitude of its up-and-down movement increased.

The card game in the restaurant couldn't continue.

The three young men turned pale and ran towards the cabin, covering their mouths.

Wu Sui and Lin Tao followed behind back to the cabin.

As soon as I entered the room, I heard a sound of dry heaving coming from the bathroom.

The three young men took turns occupying the toilet, vomiting violently.

Lin Tao leaned against the door frame and laughed gleefully.

"Oh dear, this young man's physical condition isn't good."

"Everyone feels this way the first time they go out to sea; you get used to it after a while."

As Wu Sui listened to the sounds of vomiting rising and falling, he felt his stomach churning.
