The two police officers quickly spotted the approaching "Wadi" and immediately bowed respectfully.

"Chief!"

The beast nodded slightly. "Open the door. I have something to discuss with Mayor Leon."

"Yes, Chief."

As one of the officers spoke, he personally opened the door and then respectfully stepped aside.

Seeing this, the beast stepped into the house and said, "No one may enter without my permission."

"Yes!" the two replied quickly.

The next moment, the door was slammed shut by the wild beast, cutting off the view inside. The two slowly withdrew their gaze and went on high alert!

Inside the lounge.

Leon wasn't asleep; he was sitting on the sofa looking at the news on his phone, his face growing increasingly grim.

"These media outlets are such a nuisance; they're actually saying I'm a protector of these industrial parks and that they want me investigated!"

"Hmph! A bunch of trash. Even if they're being investigated, they're still living better than you guys!" Leon kept angrily complaining, completely unaware that the beast had already approached.

"Mayor Leon."

The sound startled Leon, who quickly turned around, his face showing some panic.

However, upon seeing it was Wadi, he instantly regained his composure, adopting a tone of authority: "Wadi, why didn't you make any noise when you came in?"

"Also, is something else going on?"

The Beast nodded. "Yes, Mayor Leon. After a large-scale investigation, we have apprehended one of them. Would you like to meet him in person?"

Upon hearing this, Leon's eyes lit up with elation. "Really?!"

"Well, you don't need to stay here. Go do your own things." Leon said, walking towards the elevator, with Beast following behind.

The two took the elevator directly to the first floor.

"Wadi, bring thirty officers with me. Although the man has been arrested, there are definitely other accomplices. It's not uncommon for these people to launch a sudden attack."

"No problem," the beast readily agreed.

Before long, the two walked out of the building and came to the open space outside. Just as Leon was about to get into the car, they heard footsteps outside.

Wadi was walking towards them with several close associates.

Seeing that Mayor Leon was about to leave, the person who came quickly asked, "Mayor Leon, are you leaving?"

Leon felt the voice was extremely familiar, turned his head to look, and was immediately stunned.

Leon glanced at the Vardi beside him, then at the other Vardi not far away, and trembled slightly: "I...I'm seeing things? How can there be two Director Vardi?"

"Hehe! Since you say you are Director Wadi, why don't you have a director's badge?" Wadi laughed.

"Your ID is fake, isn't it? The real one is here with me." The Beast pulled out his ID from his pocket and handed it to Mayor Leon. "Mayor, you can tell, right?"

Leon took it, examined it carefully, and said, "Yes, it is indeed real."

He cursed inwardly, wondering how he could possibly tell if the document was real or fake. He didn't care about such things, but the seal and information on it were indeed correct.

"See? Even Mayor Leon said there's no problem. Why aren't you moving? Grab him now, or you'll all be held accountable if he escapes!"

Upon hearing the beast's arrogant words, the group slowly approached Wadi and raised their guns as a warning.

"Put down your gun! I'll say it again, put down your gun!"

When Wadi saw this, he gave a bitter smile, feeling extremely aggrieved. He was the real one, but he was mistaken for an imposter.
