Courtyard House: From Deputy Division Commander to Civilian, Progressing All the Way

Lin Yang slammed the file shut with a sharp "snap".

"Affect the overall situation? Try to smooth things over?" Lin Yang's lips curled into a cruel smile. "If you can't even protect the investment environment, what are you talking about regarding the overall situation!"

Lin Yang turned to look at the factories under construction outside the window, his voice like hail in the cold winter, striking the hearts of everyone in the carriage.

"Developing the special economic zone is like charging into battle. Anyone who dares to block the way is the enemy."

"Chen Feng," Lin Yang called him by his name.

"Here!" Chen Feng immediately straightened his back.

"I don't care what those cowards in the local area think. You now hold the power of action I've specially approved." Lin Yang's gaze was like two drawn swords, fixed intently on Chen Feng. "From today onwards, the security of the Special Zone is to be completely transferred to martial law!"

"Immediately draw upon your most elite personnel from your Special Operations Division to assemble a 'Rapid Response Counter-Sabotage Team'!"

Lin Yang's fingers tapped heavily on the car window.

"Tell those local bullies, village tyrants, and criminal gangs entrenched in the special economic zone: starting tomorrow, whoever dares to step into any joint venture construction site, or whoever dares to stop a truck transporting building materials, will be barred from entering."

"No warnings, no arrests."

Lin Yang uttered four words that instantly lowered the temperature in the entire carriage: "Shoot him on the spot!"

Chen Feng's breathing instantly became heavy, and his eyes shot out a light like that of a bloodthirsty beast.

For the past six months, he has been bound by local red tape and political concerns, and watching those hooligans and thugs swagger around, he has long harbored a burning rage in his heart that could destroy everything.

Now, Lin Yang's words have directly granted him the ultimate power of life and death to wreak havoc on this land!

"Understood! Don't worry, Commander. Within three days, I will make sure that all the monsters and demons in this special zone don't even dare to breathe!" Chen Feng gritted his teeth and solemnly pledged his commitment.

The convoy continued its high-speed race through the muddy roads.

Around noon, the jeep drove into a secret port deep in the bay, heavily guarded by tall barbed wire fences and armed guards.

There are no signs of any local port authority here, and it doesn't even appear on official maps.

This is an absolute restricted area that Lin Yang demarcated within the Special Economic Zone using his highest authority. Codenamed "Dark Harbor Zero".

The jeep stopped in front of a huge steel-structured warehouse.

Lin Yang pushed open the car door and strode out.

The salty sea breeze ruffled his short-sleeved shirt. In the distance, a Panamanian-flagged ocean liner was slowly entering the harbor, guided by several armed tugboats.

"Sir, the target vessel has entered the port." Chen Feng walked quickly to Lin Yang's side and reported in a low voice.

Lin Yang stared at the massive cargo ship, a fervent anticipation gleaming in his deep eyes.

This ship is not carrying ordinary goods, but the core industrial heart that the new China's heavy industry has long dreamed of, yet which has been strictly blocked by Western countries!

This is a top-tier national treasure that Lou Xiao'e "stole" from West Germany and Japan in Hong Kong, spending several months using various extremely secretive offshore companies, underground money laundering channels, and gray entrepot trade!

"Unload the cargo. Raise the alert level to the highest level," Lin Yang ordered.

Rumbling--

The heavy-duty gantry cranes at the port emitted a deep roar as their massive metal booms slowly moved above the cargo ship.

As several huge containers, tightly wrapped in waterproof tarpaulins, were steadily placed on the dock, Lin Yang, along with He Yuzhu and Shen Yan, quickly walked forward.

Several internal security guards quickly stepped forward and used crowbars and hydraulic shears to violently dismantle the camouflaged wooden crates on the outside of the shipping container.

Accompanied by a cracking sound as the wooden plank broke.

The ordinary textile machinery parts disguised on the outermost layer were quickly removed, revealing the true nature hidden deep within.

They were three heavy mechanical devices that shone with a dark blue metallic luster and had an ultra-modern, futuristic design.

"Commander, these are the three five-axis CNC machine tools that were listed as the highest level of embargo under the Coordinating Committee for Multilateral Export Controls (COCOM) agreement, and they are all original imports from West Germany!" Chen Feng stood aside, his voice trembling with extreme excitement.

Five-axis CNC machine tool!

In this era, this represents the pinnacle of human mechanical processing—the crown jewel of industry! With it, one can manufacture the most complex and precise nuclear submarine propeller blades; with it, one can create the most advanced aircraft engine turbine disks!

This is something that money can't buy; it's a fatal shackle that Western countries use to strangle China's military industry!

Now, Lin Yang has used the dark hand of capital to pry open a crack in this shackle in Hong Kong and smuggled it back to the mainland!

Lin Yang stood in front of the three machine tools that looked like works of art.

He stretched out his large, calloused hands and gently stroked the cold, hard metal casing of the machine tool.

The extreme industrial smoothness transmitted through his fingertips made this usually stoic minister breathe a little faster.

"Good stuff...it's really good stuff..."

At this moment, Lin Yang muttered to himself, his eyes flashing with greed and fanaticism like a ravenous wolf.

"Chairman, once these three machine tools are transported to military factories in the mainland, the precision of our country's aero-engine processing will leap forward by at least twenty years!" Shen Yan stood behind Lin Yang, his eyes red with excitement.

Lin Yang's fingers slid slowly down the guide rail of the machine tool, his gaze becoming incredibly deep.

"Tell Lou Xiao'e that the Ocean Trade Group can make even bigger moves over there."

Don't be afraid to spend money, don't be afraid to cause trouble. Anything on the Western embargo list, even if we have to pry it from the capitalists' mouths, we'll get it and bring it back to this Zero Dark Port!

Lin Yang suddenly turned around, looking at the construction site of the special economic zone behind him, which was under construction at a frenzied pace, and at the vast and boundless South China Sea.

"This special economic zone is not just a goldmine for foreign investment to make money."

Lin Yang's voice boomed like thunder over the empty dock, carrying an overwhelming and domineering aura.

"This is a super funnel that has drained the lifeblood of Western industry! Since they dared to open the door, I will let them know that what we let in is not a flock of sheep, but an Eastern dragon that has been starving for thirty years and is ready to devour the whole world!"

Lin Yang turned around, his gaze returning to the container loaded with priceless treasures.

Without saying a word, he snatched a heavy, large military crowbar from the hand of the guard beside him.

Lin Yang's arm muscles suddenly tensed, and his white short-sleeved shirt was instantly stretched taut by the bulging muscles.

Without hesitation, he forcefully inserted the flat end of the crowbar into the gap of another giant wooden crate that had not yet been completely dismantled.

Accompanied by a low, cold shout.

Lin Yang exerted force from his waist and pressed down sharply.

"Snap—crack!"

The thick steel nail was forcibly pulled out, and the solid pine plank emitted a mournful cracking sound.

It shattered in the air, revealing the new era of steel gears inside, brimming with infinite possibilities and ferocious power.
