Another two weeks passed, and the weather turned completely cold.

Because of the rapid economic development and good medical standards in the special economic zone, Su Nianhe and Shen Huai decided to stay in the special economic zone to prepare for childbirth.

Su Nianhe was eight and a half months pregnant. Because she was carrying twins, her belly was incredibly large, and she needed help to walk.

She was wearing a loose nightgown, leaning against the headboard, holding a fashion catalog in her hand. She looked noticeably heavier, her already voluptuous figure now appearing even more rounded and alluring.

Shen Huai, wearing a black shirt, walked in carrying a bowl of freshly stewed bird's nest.

He pulled up a chair and sat on the edge of the bed, stirred it with a spoon, scooped up a spoonful, blew on it to cool it, and held it to her lips.

"I don't want to eat anymore." Su Nianhe turned her head away, her voice soft and lazy. "I can't even turn over in bed these past two days, and you're still feeding me every day. The doctor said the baby is too big to deliver easily."

"Sweetie, eat this." Shen Huai coaxed patiently, rubbing his fingertips against her fair cheek twice.

Su Nianhe forced herself to open her mouth and swallow.

She put down the picture book, placed her hands on her lower back, and shifted her body, trying to change her posture.

Shen Huai immediately placed the bowl on the bedside table, supported her lower back with his large hand, and helped her move to a slightly different position.

The man's body heat wafted through the thin nightgown.

Su Nianhe turned her head to the side, her nose brushing against his chin.

"Shen Huai, you've been very irritable these past few days." She teased him, poking his hard chest with her finger.

Shen Huai grabbed her wrist and pinned her mischievous little hand to the bed.

He leaned closer, his lips brushing against her earlobe.

"With such a big belly, and this irresistible fragrance emanating from you every day, can't I even get a little irritated?" He rubbed his thumb against the inside of her wrist.

Su Nianhe felt itchy from his teasing and shrank her neck back.

"Just bear with it a little longer, Boss Shen." She smiled smugly.

Shen Huai lowered his head and bit her rosy lips hard, then restrained himself and pulled away.

When twins reach eight and a half months of age, they are in danger at any time.

The head of the obstetrics and gynecology department at the city hospital came to examine me the day before yesterday and recommended that I be admitted directly to the hospital to prepare for a cesarean section.

The following morning, the Shen family booked the most luxurious single room in the city hospital.

The surgery is scheduled for 2 p.m.

When the time came, Su Nianhe was pushed onto the flatbed cart.

The area outside the operating room corridor was packed with people; the scene was incredibly grand.

The Shen family also came to the special economic zone.

Shen Wanshan, wearing a dark jacket, paced back and forth in the corridor with his hands behind his back, his usual calm and composed demeanor completely gone.

Liu Huizhen was so anxious that she kept rubbing her hands together.

Shen Tao and Wang Liping stood in the corner, holding Shen Ping'an's hand.

Wang Liping didn't dare to utter a sound.

When she gave birth safely, her in-laws weren't this nervous.

Not only the Shen family, but He Jianjun and Li Tiejun were also present.

He Jianjun was wearing an extremely flashy leather jacket, with the charming Liu Hong standing next to him.

Li Tiejun held Li Lianhua's hand.

Zhu Yuanyuan was holding an aluminum lunchbox in her hand, taking big bites of a meat bun, her cheeks bulging.

"Yuanyuan, can you stop eating?" Li Lianhua slapped her irritably. "Nianhe is getting stabbed in there."

"I'm doing this to replenish her energy," Zhu Yuanyuan said matter-of-factly, stuffing the rest of the buns into her mouth. "Once she's out, I'll have the strength to help carry the baby."

Among this group of people, Shen Huai is the most unusual.

The tycoon, Mr. Shen, who is usually ruthless, aloof and abstinent in the business world, is now leaning against the white wall outside the operating room, his hands in his trouser pockets and his back straight.

His crisp black suit was covered in wrinkles from hugging Su Nianhe earlier.

Seeing that his face was pale, He Jianjun walked over and bumped him with his shoulder.

"Old Shen, don't be nervous, the best doctors in the special zone are all inside," He Jianjun reassured him.

Shen Huai ignored him, his thin lips pressed tightly together, his lips moving slightly.

He Jianjun curiously leaned closer and pricked up his ears.

After hearing what was said, He Jianjun almost lost his balance.

This highly educated intellectual, who has always believed only in himself and never engaged in feudal superstition, is now silently reciting something while facing the ceiling.

"All deities, whoever is in charge, if there are any deities, please bless Su Nianhe and her child to come out safely, and bless them both to be safe. I, Shen Huai, will do more charity work and accumulate more merit in the future."

He Jianjun was stunned.

"Old Shen, have you been possessed?" He Jianjun asked in a low voice.

"Get lost." Shen Huai coldly spat out three words, continuing to calculate in his mind which deity to offer sacrifices to.

Time ticked by, and the silence in the corridor was unsettling.

"Wow—wow—"

Two clear and loud cries pierced through the heavy operating room doors one after the other.

Everyone in the corridor breathed a sigh of relief at the same time.

Liu Huizhen was so excited that she slapped her thigh, and tears streamed down her face.

Soon, the operating room door was pushed open.

Two nurses came out, each carrying a swaddled baby, their faces beaming with joy.

"Congratulations, Mr. Shen! It's twins, a boy and a girl! Mother and babies are safe and sound! The boy weighs six pounds and the girl weighs five pounds eight ounces; they're both very pretty!"

The crowd immediately swarmed around it.

Liu Huizhen looked at the two little ones, overjoyed and at a loss for words.

Shen Wanshan also leaned over, a rare smile appearing on his dignified face.

Shen Ping'an tiptoed to look inside.

"The little brother and sister look like a red monkey," Shen Ping'an shouted.

Wang Liping quickly covered her son's mouth.

Everyone was looking at the child.

Only Shen Huai.

He didn't even glance at the two swaddled babies, but pushed through the crowd and strode into the operating room.

Su Nianhe was wheeled out, still under the effects of the anesthesia, and she was as weak as a blank sheet of paper.

Shen Huai held her cold little hands in his own.

He pressed his face against the back of her hand, breathing heavily.

"Does it hurt? Tell me." His voice was hoarse, filled with undisguised lingering fear.

Su Nianhe opened her eyes, looked at his disheveled appearance, and forced a weak smile.

"I haven't seen the baby yet. Is she pretty?" Her voice was as soft as a feather.

"I didn't see it. It doesn't matter who she looks like." Shen Huai stood up, bent down and kissed her sweaty forehead. "The most important thing is that you're alright."

After Su Nianhe was safely returned to her private ward, the elders doted on the two children endlessly.

Shen Huai settled Su Nianhe in, tucked her in, and then turned and left the ward.

At the end of the corridor, Secretary Zhou was waiting with his briefcase.

Shen Huai walked over, loosened his tie, and resumed his usual decisive and efficient demeanor.

"Go check on the education situation in the several impoverished counties under the jurisdiction of Jiang City," Shen Huai said, his tone crisp and decisive.

Secretary Zhou quickly took out his notebook to write it down.

"Let's do charity." Shen Huai said shamelessly, hands in his pockets. "I promised a passing deity outside the operating room that I had to do this. Build a Hope Primary School, with the best teachers and equipment, and free tuition for all the children. The money will come from my personal account, and you'd better hurry."

Secretary Zhou was stunned; this was no small sum.

"Understood, I'll take care of it right away." Secretary Zhou closed his notebook, turned around and left.

The ward door was pushed open, and Li Lianhua and Zhu Yuanyuan peeked out.

"Boss Shen, Nianhe is awake and wants you to come in," Zhu Yuanyuan called out in a loud voice.

Shen Huai immediately turned around and strode into the ward.

Su Nianhe leaned against the hospital bed, watching Shen Huai approach. The two little ones were sleeping in the crib next to her.

"Where did you go just now?" she asked.

Shen Huai pulled up a chair and sat down, placing his large hand on the back of her hand.

"Go and do good deeds for our two little troublemakers." Shen Huai squeezed her fingertips. "In the future, there will be more Hope Primary Schools in Jiang City, not just in Jiang City."

Upon hearing this, Su Nianhe's almond-shaped eyes curved into crescent moons.

She grasped his large hand in return and gently scratched his palm with her fingertips.

"Shen, you'd better make more money in the future, otherwise you won't be able to support these money-devouring beasts plus me."

"I can afford to support you." Shen Huai leaned down, his nose brushing against her cheek. "Even if you guys tear a hole in the sky, I can patch it up."

The ward was warm and cozy, and the sunlight outside was just right.
