The voluptuous and beautiful nanny, Technician Shen fell for her.

Chapter 76 Aunt Guihua's Wishful Thinking

Su Nianhe sat on a bamboo chair in the courtyard, holding a tomato that Guihua had just washed and brought over.

The tomatoes were large, bright red, and still had a few glistening water droplets on top.

She took a small bite, and the sweet and sour juice slid down her tongue and down her throat, completely suppressing the dizziness she had felt while riding in the car.

The door to the main room was open. Old Mrs. Shen sat on a rattan chair by the threshold, fanning herself with a large palm-leaf fan, while Old Mr. Shen leaned against the eight-immortal table inside, dozing with his eyes closed.

Guihua placed the enamel basin containing the tomatoes on the small wooden table, pulled up a low stool, and sat down next to Su Nianhe.

This auntie is a warm-hearted person; she stared at Su Nianhe for a long time at the gate of the courtyard.

Now that they were closer, those eyes scrutinized Su Nianhe from head to toe.

"Girl, aren't these tomatoes sweet?" Guihua asked with a smile, leaning forward slightly.

"It's sweet, thank you, Auntie," Su Nianhe replied honestly, having eaten half of the tomato in her hand.

Upon hearing the soft, delicate sounds, Guihua's smile deepened.

"No need to thank me, it's from our own land, it's not worth much." Guihua said, peeking into the main room as she spoke. Seeing that the elderly couple weren't paying attention, she lowered her voice, "Girl, my aunt said your name is Nianhe? What do you do in Jiang City?"

Su Nianhe nodded. "I used to work as a nanny."

Guihua slapped her thigh and moved half an inch closer to Su Nianhe.

"Oh my, you've seen a lot of the world. But looking at you, you seem so fresh and healthy; you don't look like someone who's always done hard labor." Guihua changed the subject, getting to the point, "How old are you this year?"

"I'm eighteen."

"Eighteen is great! Eighteen is the perfect age!" Guihua's eyes lit up like light bulbs, and her lips moved quickly. "Back in your hometown, have your parents arranged a marriage for you? Have you found someone?"

Su Nianhe was taken aback by the question.

Object?

The image of Shen Huai's cold and deep face immediately popped into her mind, as he pressed her onto his lap and said in a hoarse voice, "I'm your landlord and boyfriend."

A blush rose uncontrollably to her cheeks, and even the tips of her ears felt hot.

How could she possibly admit that she and Shen Huai were secretly dating?

If this were to be told, regardless of whether Guihua would believe it or not, even if it reached the ears of Shen Wanshan and Liu Huizhen, she probably wouldn't even be able to get close to Jiang City anymore.

"No... I didn't mention my in-laws." Su Nianhe's voice was so soft it was like a mosquito's hum, and she nervously picked at the skin of a tomato with both hands.

When Guihua saw that her face was flushed and she was too shy to answer, she assumed that she was just a shy young girl.

"Oh, what's there to be embarrassed about? A woman should marry when she's of age, and a man should marry when he's of age." Guihua smiled broadly, revealing her plans directly. "Let me tell you something from the bottom of my heart, for a woman, nothing beats finding a good man to rely on. Being a nanny in the city is like serving others; it's nothing compared to being in charge of your own home."

Su Nianhe bit her lower lip, unsure how to respond.

All she can think about right now is making money by setting up a stall; she has no interest in finding a man to rely on.

Besides, she already has Shen Huai.

Although their relationship was currently kept secret, the way the man protected her was more assertive than anyone else's.

Seeing that she didn't say anything, Guihua assumed that she had listened to her and quickly pressed her advantage.

"I have a second son in my family, named Da Niu. He's exactly twenty this year!" Guihua held up two fingers, spitting as she spoke. "His build is like iron! He's incredibly strong; he can carry two hundred pounds of wheat on his shoulder and run two miles in one go without even breaking a sweat! He's also honest and upright, and he never hangs out with those idle guys in the village."

The more Su Nianhe listened, the more she felt something was wrong. Why was this auntie starting to promote her own son?

"Auntie, I really don't intend to..."

"Don't be so quick to refuse!" Guihua interrupted her directly, her enthusiasm almost overwhelming. "When looking for a partner, you have to choose someone who can work. Da Niu can eat three big bowls of rice in one meal, and he's incredibly efficient at work. He also has a good temper; if we get married, he'll definitely know how to cherish his wife. Your figure is a perfect match for him!"

In the main room, Old Man Shen, who had been dozing off by the octagonal table, woke up at this moment.

The old man's ear problem, which comes and goes, has flared up again.

He vaguely heard Guihua shouting something like "three big bowls of dry rice" and "eat dry rice," and then he slammed his cane on the ground.

"Who wants to eat dry rice!" the old man roared into the yard, his booming voice ringing out. "Didn't we agree to have cornbread and wild duck for lunch? Who changed their mind and wants dry rice now?!"

Guihua was startled by the shout and quickly stood up, turning around to explain loudly to the main room.

"Uncle! Nobody wants to eat dry food! I'm saying my son, Da Niu, can eat dry food!"

The old man sat inside, his brow furrowed, glaring at Guihua.

"You want to eat dry rice?" the old man shouted. "We only have so little white rice at home, and if you eat it all, how will we, the old couple, survive? We'll have to eat cornbread! There's no dry rice!"

Guihua was so anxious that she kept slapping her thigh. This old man's hearing loss was driving her crazy.

"It's not me who wants to eat it!" Guihua shouted, her voice almost cracking. "I'm talking about Da Niu!"

"Cows eat grass!" the old man retorted without hesitation. "What do cows eat?! Are you out of your mind to feed them dry food?!"

Old Mrs. Shen sat on the threshold, unable to bear it any longer. She slapped her palm-leaf fan on her leg and pointed at the old man, cursing.

"Shut up! What are you yelling about all day? Da Niu is Guihua's second son! You old fool, if you're deaf, then shut your mouth!"

After being scolded by the old lady, the old man pursed his lips, muttered a couple of times, "As long as you don't eat dry food, it's fine," and leaned back in his chair to close his eyes and rest.

The courtyard became quiet again.

Guihua wiped the sweat from her forehead, turned around and grabbed Su Nianhe's arm again.

"Daughter, don't listen to my uncle's interruptions," Guihua said in a low voice. "Da Niu is a really good kid. If you go with him, you can settle down in our Xiahe Village."

Su Nianhe quickly pulled her arm away and waved her hands repeatedly.

"Auntie, I appreciate your kindness. But I really don't plan to do that right now. I came to help the old lady harvest peanuts, and I'll be going back to Jiang City in a couple of days."

She made her refusal clear and unequivocal.

If Shen Huai knew that someone was trying to set her up in Xiahe Village and was even trying to sell her a giant ox that could carry two hundred catties of wheat, that man would probably tear this farmhouse down.

Shen Huai pulled her into his arms, his deep voice, carrying a warning tone, still lingering in her ear.

"Stay away from those idlers in the village. If anyone causes you trouble, hide behind your grandfather."

Guihua, however, did not take Su Nianhe's rejection seriously at all.

In her view, it was a great honor for a nanny born in the countryside to marry a skilled farmer in the village.

The girl's refusal at this moment was simply due to her thin skin.

"Alright, alright, Auntie won't force you." Guihua stood up, her face beaming with shrewdness. "When it comes to finding a partner, you have to meet in person first. After work in the fields, I'll have Da Niu come over and help you carry these empty sacks inside. You young people can chat and see if you click. It's not like you're losing anything!"

After saying that, Guihua didn't give Su Nianhe a chance to refute her. She swayed her hips and left the yard, rushing towards the peanut field.
