Conquer the other worlds with abandon, they've fallen in love with me!

Chapter 16 You took my money and gave it to another woman...

After selecting the medicinal herbs, Lin Yu pointed to the shelf behind the counter and asked, "How much is that crucible?"

The shopkeeper looked up and said, "That one? Three gold coins. Top quality, made of magical metal. It's not comparable to those mud bricks outside."

"Too expensive." Lin Yu frowned, remembering that this cauldron in the game cost less than one gold coin.

According to what Lin Yu has learned in the past few days, the currency system in this world is exactly the same as in the game: 1 gold coin equals 100 silver coins, and 1 silver coin equals 100 copper coins.

The prices of the items are the same.

This is why Lin Yu knew how much the driver charged even without asking.

"This crucible isn't worth the price," Lin Yu said calmly.

"Two gold coins, that's the lowest I can offer." The shopkeeper sighed. "Since you're so determined to take it, I'll let you have it for free."

Lin Yu didn't reply, and turned to walk towards the door.

Bell paused for a moment, then followed.

"Hey, hey, hey!" the boss shouted from behind, "One gold coin! One gold coin, take it!"

Lin Yu stopped, turned around and smiled: "Deal." Bell stared at Lin Yu's back and finally understood.

This brat's way of bargaining is to just walk away? Simple and crude, but it works pretty well.

When she was an adventurer, she never did this when buying things; she always obediently paid up.

A large bag of medicinal herbs plus a crucible cost a little over seven gold coins.

Lin Yu counted the money in his pocket; he had two gold coins and several dozen silver and copper coins left.

He shoved the herbs and crucible into Bell's hands: "Take it."

Bell's hands were occupied, the spear could only be tucked under his armpits, and his tail thrashed angrily:

"Little brat, shouldn't you be taking this? Besides, are you the sugar daddy or am I?"

"Okay, okay, my dear benefactor, please help me out. I'd like to go check out the tailor shop next to the herbal medicine shop."

As he spoke, Lin Yu pushed open the door and went inside. Bell followed behind, gritting his teeth and muttering something under his breath:

"Who is your mother?"

Upon entering the tailor shop, Bell placed his things on the chair by the door and rubbed his fingers, which were red from being tied up.

Various finished clothes are hanging on the wall, ranging from coarse cloth work clothes to silk dresses.

The air was filled with the smell of fabric and dye, mixed with a hint of camphor wood.

Bell thought Lin Yu was going to buy him clothes and thought to himself that this guy was quite particular.

But Lin Yu turned around and picked out a set of women's clothing.

The light blue cotton maxi dress features simple floral embroidery on the neckline and cuffs, and a wide skirt that looks both gentle and comfortable.

He then took a pair of black stockings; the material was very thin and shimmered faintly under the light.

Belle leaned closer for a look, and her face flushed red. Was this guy going to buy her clothes?

The dress was exquisite, but the size didn't look very big; it was several sizes smaller than her usual clothes.

Lin Yu picked up the clothes, looked at them, and then compared them to Bell.

Bell took a step back, her ears burning: "W-what are you doing?"

"Don't move." Lin Yu grabbed the skirt and held it up to her shoulders.

The length is about the same, but the shoulders are narrower, not to mention the bust size.

Belle saw the size of the dress and didn't know whether she breathed a sigh of relief or felt a little disappointed.

"Sir, would you like a larger size?" The shop assistant was a young woman with two braids and dimples when she smiled.

Holding the clothes, she asked, glancing at Bell's physique, "This lady might need..."

"No need," Lin Yu shook his head. "Just this one, wrap it up."

Bell stood behind Lin Yu, his lips moving slightly.

Is this the one?

As she looked at the light blue dress, with its slender waist and small bust, a thought suddenly flashed through Belle's mind.

This dress... was it bought for Arya?

Bell felt a tightness in his chest, a feeling he couldn't quite describe.

She was probably unhappy because she felt her money was being used to buy gifts for others.

While the clerk was getting paper bags to pack the items, Bell reached out and pulled Lin Yu over, wrapping his arm around his shoulder and whispering in his ear.

The gesture looks like a kiss, but it's actually a whispered whisper in the ear.

"You brat." Bell's voice was forced out through clenched teeth, his hot breath brushing against Lin Yu's ear:

"You took my money to buy clothes for other women?"

Lin Yu's shoulders ached from Bell's grip, but his expression remained unchanged as he patted Bell's hand that was wrapped around him.

"Speaking of which," he said calmly, "I don't know Miss Bell very well."

I'm not really sure what you like. Actually, I really want to give you something, but I don't know what to give.

"If it's alright, Miss Belle, would you like me to get to know you better?"

Bell was stunned when he heard this.

What does "Let me get to know you better" mean? It sounds like a confession of love.

Her face flushed red from her ears to her neck, and her arms loosened their grip slightly, but she didn't hold back, glaring at Lin Yu with her head down:

"You little brat, you want to drive a big truck, don't you?"

This time, Lin Yu's face darkened.

Women with big breasts and no brains are indeed outspoken.

His lips twitched, and he retorted defiantly, "Whether I want to open my mouth or not is still uncertain."

But Miss Belle, if you keep hugging me like this, and I keep rubbing against you like this, your illness might flare up.

"What's wrong...?" Bell was only halfway through her sentence when she suddenly felt a wet patch on her chest.

Looking down, I saw two dark water stains on my white shirt, clinging to the fabric with their clear outlines.

She instantly released Lin Yu as if she had been burned, crossed her arms in front of her chest, and her face turned as red as if it were burning.

Lin Yu remained calm and turned to the shop assistant, saying, "Take down that gray shawl."

The shop assistant, suppressing a laugh, handed over the shawl. Lin Yu took it, turned around, and draped it over Belle's shoulders, just enough to cover the wet patch on her chest.

"Really." Lin Yu raised an eyebrow. "If Miss Bell keeps being so careless, I'm really worried too."

Bell gritted his teeth: "You..."

The shop assistant handed over the wrapped paper bag, but Bell snatched it away, saying, "I'll take it."

She strode out carrying the paper bag, her shawl almost slipping off her shoulders, but she managed to hold it back.

Lin Yu followed behind, a slight smile playing on his lips.

As the two stepped out of the store, a shop assistant called out from behind, "Sir, please wait a moment. The item you just asked for has been wrapped up."

Bell paused in his steps.

Lin Yu turned back and took another paper bag from the shop assistant.

It's much bigger and heavier than the previous one.

He didn't say anything, but walked up to Belle and handed it to her: "Where can we try it out? If it doesn't suit you, we can exchange it."

Bell was stunned, then took the paper bag, opened it, and glanced inside.

Inside lay a pale yellow long dress, made of thick fabric, with a simple design, and the waist and bust measurements were clearly chosen to fit her figure.

There was also a dark-colored shawl folded next to it, made of wool with subtle embroidery along the edges.

She looked up at Lin Yu.

"When did you...?"

"When I told the sales assistant I didn't need a large size, I asked her to pick out another one."

Bell opened his mouth, but couldn't say a word.

His lips moved, but he managed to squeeze out only a few syllables: "You...you really are..."

"What?"

"It's nothing," Bell said, clutching the paper bag to his chest, his voice muffled. "I just think you're a pretty mean person."

Lin Yu smiled and did not refute.

The two visited several more shops on the street, and Lin Yu bought himself a change of shirt and a pair of trousers, spending less than a silver coin.

Bell followed behind the whole time, changing the position of the paper bag in his arms several times, but never letting go.

On the way, Lin Yu encountered a vendor selling puddings. He bought three and gave one to Bell.

"I don't eat sweets," Bell said.

"Then throw it away." Lin Yu took a bite himself.

Bell looked at the pudding in his hand, hesitated for a moment, and then took a bite.

Then his eyes lit up, and he silently ate the rest.

"Don't you not eat sweets?" Lin Yu glanced at her sideways.

"Shut up."

The carriage was waiting at the usual spot, and the two boarded it.

On the way back, Belle didn't say much. She held the paper bag in one hand, placed the other on her lap, and her tail swayed gently behind her.

Lin Yu leaned against the car floor with his eyes closed.

The carriage swayed back and forth, its wheels creaking, and the wind carried the scent of wild grass from the fields.
