When Lin Yu woke up, it was still dark.

Light seeped in through the gap in the curtains, drawing a thin, grayish-white line along the edge of the bed.

Something moved in my arms.

He looked down, and Arya nestled against his chest, her face buried in the crook of his neck, her breath light and even, each puff landing on his collarbone.

His hair was scattered all over the pillow, with a few strands brushing against his chin, making him feel itchy.

Her hand rested on his waist, her fingers slightly curled, as if she were holding onto something and wouldn't let go.

It's like practicing a skill you just learned last night.

She was sleeping soundly, with a slight smile on her lips; I wonder what she was dreaming about.

Lin Yu didn't rush to get up, but gently stroked Arya's hair.

I flipped through the footage from last night frame by frame.

Arya bit her lip, trying to keep quiet, but then she couldn't help grabbing his arm and crying out.

Tears streamed down her face as she snuggled into his arms and whispered:

"Wow, that's amazing~ I'm sorry... I went first again—".

Her voice was trembling uncontrollably, but she held him very tightly.

Lin Yu snapped out of his thoughts and gently pinched Arya's sleeping face.

Arya was still asleep. She snuggled closer to him, pressing her face against his chest, and wrapped her legs around him, rubbing her bare legs against his crotch, her skin warm and smooth.

The blanket slipped down a bit, revealing her shoulders and back.

There are a few red marks below my collarbone, left from last night.

The lines of her shoulder blades appeared soft in the morning light, her lower back was slightly sunken, and below that was the curve of the blanket covering her.

Lin Yu pulled the blanket up to cover her shoulders, enjoying the woman's dependence in his arms.

About five minutes later, Arya's eyelashes trembled.

She opened her eyes, still dazed from sleep, blinked, and met Lin Yu's gaze.

Arya paused for a second, feeling a slight pain.

Her face flushed instantly, and she frantically tried to shrink into the blanket, but Lin Yu's arm held her tightly, so she could only bury her face in his chest, her ears burning red.

"Awake?" Lin Yu asked calmly.

"Hmm..." A muffled sound came from under the covers.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Um......"

Lin Yu gently rubbed the back of Arya's head twice with his fingers: "That's good."

Arya fell silent, burying her face in his chest, her fingers clutching the collar of his undershirt.

After a long while, she slowly raised her head.

Her face was flushed, her eyes were watery, and her lips were a little swollen.

Arya glanced at Lin Yu, then quickly lowered her head and whispered, "I...I'll go cook."

He was about to get up when he said that.

Lin Yu tightened his grip and pulled her back: "No need."

"But you're hungry—"

I'm not hungry.

Arya opened her mouth as if to say something, but Lin Yu placed his hand on the back of her head and pressed her back against his chest.

"Sleep a little longer," he said.

Arya stopped moving.

She quietly rested against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

Thump, thump, thump, very steady, very reassuring.

Arya's fingers slowly loosened, her palm pressed against Lin Yu's clothes, feeling the warmth of his chest.

After a few minutes, she spoke softly, "Mr. Lin Yu."

"Um."

"Will you... will you live here forever?"

"We'll always be together."

Arya's lips curved slightly, then flattened again.

"Then...then I'll cook for you every morning from now on."

"it is good."

You should eat more.

"it is good."

"Also... don't keep buying me things, they're too expensive."

"It depends."

Arya looked up at him, somewhat displeased.

Lin Yu lowered his head and kissed her forehead:

"Arya, I like to dress you up nicely."

Hearing this, Arya buried her face back into Lin Yu's chest, her voice incredibly soft: "You... really..."

Lin Yu didn't speak, but slowly combed her hair with his fingers.

The room was quiet, with the sound of roosters crowing in the distance and the wind whistling through the eaves outside the window.

After a while, Arya propped herself up and looked at him.

His hair fell down, brushing against his face.

"Mr. Lin Yu," she called out.

"Um?"

"I..."

She opened her mouth, her face flushed again, hesitated for several seconds, and finally lowered her head, her lips touching the corner of his mouth.

Very light, very fast.

Then she shrank back under the covers and buried her face in the pillow.

Lin Yu looked at the back of her head, and the corners of his mouth slowly curved up.

He rolled over and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on the top of her head, and whispered:

"Speaking of which, Arya."

"Um?"

"You've been calling me Mr. Lin Yu since just now."

Arya's body stiffened for a moment.

"Should we change how we address you?"

Lin Yu's voice was calm, with the low, hoarse quality of someone who had just woken up in the morning.

His hand slid down her waist and touched her lower abdomen, his palm warm.

"At least, what should Arya call me now that she's in bed?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lin Yu stepped forward.

Arya's breath hitched, her fingers clenched the pillow so tightly her knuckles turned white.

Lin Yu's sudden action caught her off guard.

Her toes curled up instantly, her hind legs straightened, and the back of her foot arched in an arc.

"Mmm~ Darling..."

Arya's voice came from under the pillow, muffled and soft enough to melt your heart.

The last syllable trembled, as if he had used all his strength to squeeze out those few words.

Lin Yu tightened his grip and pulled her closer to him.

His chin rested on the top of her head, and his lips were close to her ear.

"Call me again, but I'd prefer Arya to call my name, every single time, okay?"

"Will you remember me with your body?"

Arya's ears turned bright red, and her neck and shoulders were tinged with a light pink.

She buried her face deeper into the pillow, her voice barely audible.

"Lin Yu~ um~ Lin Yu... Lin Yu..."

This time it went a little better, but it's still shaking.

Lin Yu gently kissed her earlobe: "My dear, Arya."

......

The sun rose higher, and light streamed in through the windows, illuminating the room.

Lin Yu got dressed and came out of the bedroom. He went to the kitchen, boiled some water, poured two cups, and brought them back to the bedroom.

Arya had already sat up, pulled the blanket up to her chest, and was looking for her clothes.

Seeing him come in, she shrank back under the covers.

"The clothes are on the bed." Lin Yu placed the water glass on the bedside table.

Arya looked down and saw the neatly folded dress right beside her.

She pursed her lips, reached out and pulled her clothes under the covers, putting them on with a rustling sound.

Lin Yu, holding a cup of water, leaned against the door frame and watched her.

Arya got dressed, threw off the covers and got out of bed. Her feet slipped on the floor, and she had to hold onto the edge of the bed to steady herself.

She walked quickly toward the door with her head down, and Lin Yu grabbed her hand as she passed by.

"Where to?"

"Make breakfast."

"I said I don't need it."

"But......"

Lin Yu pulled Arya over and put his other arm around her waist.

Arya's breathing became erratic, her hands braced against his chest, her face flushing again.

"I'll do it today," Lin Yu said.

Arya was taken aback: "You can cook?"

"I know a little."

He released her and turned to walk towards the kitchen.

Arya followed behind him, standing in the kitchen doorway watching him.

Lin Yu took out the ingredients he bought yesterday from the storage bag: white bread, smoked meat, eggs, and milk.

His cooking skills were quite good, and he quickly prepared breakfast.

The two brought the food to the table.

Arya sat opposite Lin Yu, and suddenly laughed as she ate.

"What are you laughing at?" Lin Yu asked.

"It's nothing." She shook her head, but couldn't suppress the urge to smile.

She just felt that this morning was wonderful; her favorite person was right across from her, the sunlight was warm, and her stomach felt warm too.

Arya pursed her lips and looked at Lin Yu tenderly.

This younger man, this unknown force that suddenly entered her life, this darling who took her virginity~

This is all she cherishes.

......

After finishing his meal, Lin Yu washed the dishes and changed into clean clothes.

Arya stood in the doorway watching him.

"Going out?"

"Yes, go see Miss Bell."

Arya paused for a moment, her smile fading slightly, but she still nodded.

Come back soon and be careful.

"I know." Lin Yu walked to the door, stopped, and looked back at her.

Arya stood in the morning light, wearing that light blue dress, her hair tied up with a wooden hairpin.

She wasn't wearing makeup; her face was clean and her eyes were bright.

Lin Yu went back and kissed her on the forehead.

Arya closed her eyes, her fingers gripping the hem of his shirt.

"See you later," he said.

"Um...see you later."

Lin Yu pushed open the door and left.

Arya stood at the doorway watching his figure disappear at the end of the village road, then reached up to touch her forehead, a slow smile spreading across her face.
