Lin Yu stood in front of Bell, looking up at the woman who was several heads taller than him, and said without beating around the bush:

"There's an abandoned underground city in Dawn Forest. I'd like to go inside and ask you to be my guard."

Bell blinked, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

"Dungeon?" She straightened up, pulling her hands out of her pockets and crossing them over her chest.

The two mounds of flesh were pushed upwards by the arms, bulging out in an exaggerated arc at the neckline.

"Little brother, do you even know what's in the dungeon? With your build, going in is practically suicide."

"That's why I came to you." Lin Yu wasn't swayed by her words: "In exchange, I can help you get treatment."

Bell's expression changed.

The laziness on her face vanished instantly, and her amber eyes stared at Lin Yu, as if trying to find some flaw in his expression.

"What did you say?"

"I said, I can cure your illness," Lin Yu repeated calmly.

Bell fell silent.

Her tail stopped wagging and hung motionless behind her. After a few seconds, she spoke, "Do you know what illness I have?"

"Know."

Tell me about it.

Lin Yu raised an eyebrow, guessing what Bell was thinking. Her illness was rather private, and he hadn't originally intended to reveal it, but since she didn't seem to mind, he decided to be frank.

Then Lin Yu turned his head and glanced at the corner of the farm, where there were two wooden buckets filled with freshly squeezed milk, with a layer of fine foam floating on the surface.

"Ms. Belle, those two buckets of milk are yours, aren't they?" Lin Yu raised his chin.

Bell followed his gaze, nodded, and a fleeting look of embarrassment crossed her face.

"The high yield of ordinary dairy cows is perhaps something to be happy about." Lin Yu paused, his gaze sweeping over Belle's two full mounds, taut by her overalls:

"But when it comes to... demi-humans, it's not so convenient."

As Lin Yu finished speaking, Bell's face flushed red.

She strode over in one step, her movements incredibly fast. She covered Lin Yu's mouth with her large hand, her palm rough and calloused, and the force was so great that Lin Yu's head tilted back.

"Stop talking!" Bell said in a low voice, his eyes wide open and his ears so red they looked like they were about to bleed.

Her breath sprayed onto Lin Yu's forehead, warm and carrying a milky scent.

Lin Yu didn't struggle; he just let her cover his mouth and looked up at her.

Bell realized he had overreacted, released his grip, took a step back, and looked away.

"I understand." She cleared her throat, her voice much lower than before.

"I can help you, as long as you can help me... control... that."

"Ahem." Lin Yu straightened his collar, which had been pulled askew, and said in a flat voice, "Then it's settled."

Bell leaned against the fence, turning her head away from Lin Yu, but her ears were still red.

Her tail started wagging again, faster than before, showing that she was not at peace.

After about half a minute, Bell took a deep breath, turned around, and his face had regained about 70% of its calmness.

"So...where is that dungeon?"

"The entrance to the northern part of Dawn Forest is covered by bushes, but I know its exact location."

"Okay." Bell nodded. "Give me some time to get ready, change my clothes, and grab some things."

With that, Bell turned and walked into the house, but after taking a couple of steps, he turned back and said, "Come in and wait, just don't wander off."

Lin Yu nodded and followed her toward the wooden house.

Pushing open the wooden door, the room was even more simply tidied than Arya's house.

A large wooden table, a few chairs, and some adventurer's items piled in the corner: old leather armor, worn-out sword sheaths, and dusty backpacks.

The fire in the fireplace was still burning, the firewood crackling loudly.

"Sit down, don't be shy." Bell gestured to the chair next to the table, then pushed open the door to the inner room and went inside.

The door wasn't closed properly, and Lin Yu could hear sounds of people rummaging through drawers and cabinets inside, as well as the rustling of fabric.

He didn't look at it much, sat down in the chair, and glanced at the wooden table in front of him by chance.

On the table sat an unlit oil lamp, a comb, a small round mirror, and a pair of gloves.

The gloves were made of linen and were yellowish in color. There were dark stains on the fingertips and palms, which looked like they had been repeatedly soaked in some liquid.

It wasn't something that was worth paying attention to in the first place, but a panel popped up in front of Lin Yu's eyes.

[Shy cow-themed work gloves.]

[Quality: White] (white, blue, green, purple, gold)

[Effect: Using this tool can impart a detoxifying effect to milk.]

[Description: Professional milking workers, their daily workload is equivalent to circling the farm twice.]

Another item with a special effect.

Lin Yu looked at the used gloves, which still had traces of undried liquid on them, indicating that they had been used recently.

As for why it was placed on the table inside the room, it was a work glove.

He had already guessed the purpose of the gloves.

The sound of a door lock turning came from the inner room.

Lin Yu subtly withdrew his gaze, leaned back in his chair, crossed his legs, and pretended to be bored while waiting.

Bell pushed open the door and came out.

She changed her gear; a gray, tight-fitting leather armor covered her upper body, and the shoulder guards were dark silver, fastened neatly on her shoulders.

He had a wide leather belt around his waist, with several leather bags and a short knife hanging from it.

He wore dark brown hunting trousers, the legs tucked into high leather boots, the heels making a dull thud on the wooden floor.

Her hair was retied into a high ponytail, revealing the clean lines of her neck. The tail emerged from the opening at her lower back and curled behind her.

He didn't look like the farmer who had just been feeding chickens in the yard; he looked more like a battle-hardened adventurer.

"Let's go." Bell picked up the spear leaning against the door, its tip gleaming in the firelight.

Lin Yu nodded and stood up.

He deliberately slowed down, letting Bell go first.

Bell strode toward the door, her boots slamming against the floor, her ponytail swaying behind her, her attention completely focused on what was in front of her.

Taking advantage of the moment, Lin Yu reached out and pinched the pair of gloves on the table with his fingertips, then quietly slipped them into his pocket.

The movements were quick and almost silent.

Bell didn't turn around.

Lin Yu followed her out of the wooden house, put his hands in his pockets and weighed the gloves in his hand. The fabric was soft and a little damp.

"Why does your expression look so strange?" Bell noticed that Lin Yu's lips were slightly upturned and couldn't help but frown.

"It's nothing." Lin Yu withdrew his hand, his expression unchanged. "Let's go, try to be back before dark."

"That's natural." Bell gripped his spear and walked toward the Dawn Forest.

Lin Yu followed behind, watching Bell's retreating figure.

The curves of the body, encased in leather armor, were particularly defined in the sunlight, each part perfectly proportioned, even somewhat exaggerated.

"A perfect boost," Lin Yu thought to himself.

The two walked one after the other, their shadows stretching long on the ground, heading towards the Dawn Forest.
