On the first day of the Lunar New Year, with nothing to do, Lin Zhi scrolled through his phone for a while, but finding it uninteresting, he simply turned on his computer and started contacting overseas clients.

Her true nature is to be all-encompassing and unstoppable.

Just two days after things calmed down, Chen Yu called:

"Assistant Lin, come with me on a business trip."

She held her phone, stunned for two seconds:

"Boss, it's Chinese New Year now."

Alarm bells rang in her mind. Was she going to have to flee abroad again? If another typhoon, tsunami, or earthquake struck, she couldn't afford to live a second time.

"There's a resort area in Yunnan Province; let's go check it out."

Chen Yu added another sentence.

"Overtime pay is provided."

"Okay, boss, I'll pack my things right away!"

Money can make her work hard; she'll carry her suitcase even on business trips, let alone to Antarctica.

After hanging up the phone, she started taking out her summer clothes and stuffing them into her suitcase one by one.

When she arrived at the airport, she realized that Chen Yu was truly wealthy.

A small private plane was parked on the tarmac. The boarding stairs were already down, and the flight attendant stood at the cabin door, smiling and greeting passengers.

She found a window seat and had just fastened her seatbelt when she heard someone else board the plane. Chen Yu seemed to be talking to a man.

She looked up and was so shocked that her jaw almost dropped. Her best friend had actually brought the high-ranking leader she was talking to.

The two of them froze for a second, then screamed simultaneously.

The two of them huddled together like long-lost spies making a rendezvous. Before the plane even took off, they had already exchanged three pieces of gossip, two complaints, and an eye roll.

(The travel plot will not be repeated here; please refer to chapters 64-75 for details, where the two characters appear.)

After getting off the plane, the four of them split into two groups and started a completely different mode.

The men talked about work, while the women talked about food and drinks.

Lin Zhi, arm in arm with Ye Zhenzhen, wished she could completely forget about the two men. They indulged in a one-stop shop of food, drinks, and entertainment, taking photos like crazy and snacking non-stop, the two of them sweeping through half the street.

Lin Zhi's joy turned to sorrow upon returning to the hotel.

First, my stomach churned, then I vomited violently, and then my stomach started acting up.

She leaned against the wall, her face pale and bare-faced, and weakly knocked on Chen Yu's door: "Boss, it seems I have to file for work injury again."

Chen Yu stood at the door, looked at her pale face, frowned, and without saying a word, picked up his phone and contacted the hotel doctor.

After the doctor tested the blood, the result was food poisoning.

My best friend also contracted the virus. Both of them were in their own rooms with IV drips, sending each other WeChat messages through the wall, teasing each other:

"We've been tricked by Doujuezi."

The next day, after being forced to eat a bland, stomach-soothing meal, the two of them finally recovered and started causing trouble again.

They changed into local costumes and happily took a set of matching outfits for a photoshoot.

Lin Zhi was wearing a Dai dress that exposed her waist, which was wrapped tightly around her waist. With her striking eyebrows and eyes, Chen Yu looked at her from afar and felt that she was like a bewitching fairy.

As evening approached, the two women, annoyed by the men's spoils, shoved their bags into their hands and ran off.

It wasn't until after 11 p.m. that the two were pulled out of the crowd.

When Chen Yu walked into the dimly lit bar, he immediately spotted a familiar figure in the corner. Lin Zhi was wearing an indigo blue halter dress, revealing a large expanse of her fair shoulders and collarbone, and was dancing intimately with a young man.

Chen Yu's face darkened. He pushed through the crowd and walked up to her. Just as the boy looked up, about to say something, he was silenced by a single look from Chen Yu.

"Who are you?" Lin Zhi squinted at him for a couple of seconds, then waved his hand. "A bit old, I don't want you."

She poked his cheek with her finger: "You look just like my boss, what bad luck."

Chen Yu ignored her and carried her out of the bar.

A night breeze swept over her face. She looked down and patted his shoulder, her voice tinged with a drunken, critical tone: "Hey, are you a virgin?"

Chen Yu paused for a moment.

"I don't want a second hand." She patted his cheek. "Right?"

Chen Yu looked down at the drunken face in his arms, paused for two seconds, and then said, "Yes."

Lin Zhi smiled with satisfaction and reached out to hook her arm around his neck: "Not bad. Tonight, I'll spoil you."

The door closed behind me, and the light didn't have time to be turned on.

"Why are you still wearing my boss's clothes?"

"I understand. If you want to pursue what you like, you have to see it through to the end."

She stood on tiptoe and kissed him.

She raised her hand and slapped him again:

"Tell me, do you like Daddy's big plan?!"

Chen Yu finally snapped, his patience from the entire night breaking through its limit.

Everything spiraled out of control after that.

At four in the morning, Lin Zhi was awakened by thirst. She opened her eyes, moved around, and felt like her whole body was falling apart.

She saw the person next to her. Chen Yu was lying less than an arm's length away from her, the blanket only covering his waist and abdomen, his body covered with scratches.

She froze completely.

Memories of last night are flooding back in fragments.

She felt like dying.

Damn it, what do I do if I mistake my boss for a male model and end up paying for sex?

She dressed quietly and slipped out of the room in the dark.

I found a hotel nearby, intending to hide there for the time being.

She really didn't know how to face her boss when he woke up.

I stayed in the hotel until dawn, but couldn't fall asleep even after taking a nap.

Ye Zhenzhen called her and asked:

"Zhizhi, where did you go? Time for breakfast."

She chuckled and lied, "The hotel had bad feng shui, so I changed to another one, the XX Hotel nearby."

Immediately afterwards, Chen Yu's voice came from the side: "Assistant Lin, that hotel is also my family's. There's no need to go to such lengths to take care of my business."

Lin Zhi:......

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

She opened the door and found Chen Yu standing outside.

"Oh, Mr. Chen, I'm actually hungry. I'll go get some breakfast now."

As he spoke, he ran over to Ye Zhenzhen's side.

After quickly eating a couple of bites, he grabbed Ye Zhenzhen and went to play.

Today they went to the riverbank and took a boat to the other side.

She was in low spirits; she had been too rough last night and had even caught a cold, her nose was stuffy.

Ye Zhenzhen spotted a stall selling incense and called out to her, "Zhizhi, look at this incense, it's so exquisite and smells wonderful."

She walked over and only smelled a faint fragrance. Because her nose was a little stuffy, she didn't inhale too much.

However, after only about a minute, she began to feel dizzy, and Ye Zhenzhen next to her had already collapsed.

She saw several men dart out from behind the vendor.

Her vision went black for a moment, and when she opened her eyes again, she was in the back of a metal car.

Ye Zhenzhen was still dizzy. She shook her awake with all her might, and with her strength, she jumped out of the car with Ye Zhenzhen.

They stumbled and hid in the banana grove by the roadside.

It was getting dark, and mosquitoes were buzzing around her. She gritted her teeth and kept quiet, shielding Ye Zhenzhen behind her.

There was no cell phone signal, and she didn't know where she was or if anyone was looking for them.

She didn't know who to contact, and in the end, it came down to Chen Yu's name.

She gripped her phone, her fingertips cold, and typed her bank card PIN into a message, adding the line "For Zhenzhen's parents."

She hesitated for a few seconds, then added another line: "Chen Yu, you deserve to be loved. What doesn't kill you becomes light piercing the darkness."

She didn't know if the message would even get sent.

In the dark of night.

All she could do was pray, hoping he would come and save her.

At this moment, he is the only one who can discover that she has disappeared from this world.

She and Ye Zhenzhen hugged each other, encouraging one another.

I don't know how much time passed.

She heard the sound of a helicopter and saw the Chinese characters on its fuselage.

Tears suddenly welled up in my eyes.

The helicopter landed on an open ground not far away, the cabin door opened, and Chen Yu was the first to jump out.

He stumbled a little as he ran over.

As soon as Lin Zhi emerged from the banana grove, he pulled her into his arms. She could feel him trembling all over.

He lowered his head and kissed her; his lips were icy cold, and his breath was rapid. She tasted saltiness, unsure whether it was from his tears or hers.

She didn't flinch; instead, she wrapped her arms around his neck and returned his kiss.

At that moment, she didn't want to think about anything anymore.

She faced another life-or-death situation.

Just as the flash went off behind them, Ye Zhenzhen, holding her phone, looked as excited as a badger that had just eaten a melon. Lin Zhi then abruptly shoved Chen Yu away.
