Darkness enveloped the surroundings.

The high density of stagnant water squeezes the surrounding mud layer.

Morgan opened his eyes, turned his neck, and looked to his side.

Gangku's body was positioned in front of him.

This body cultivator possessed extremely high physical strength and was adopting a defensive stance.

He crossed his arms to protect Morgan and Ella.

The muscles on his back were corroded by the stagnant water, leaving large charred marks.

Ella nestled in Gangku's arms.

Her mage robes were badly torn.

A layer of blue water curtain surrounded the three people, preventing the stagnant water from further intruding.

"Speak up when you're awake," Morgan said.

Gangku coughed twice and spat out a mouthful of black blood mixed with mud and sand.

"He's not dead yet." Gangku loosened his arms and moved his stiff joints.

Ella opened her eyes as well.

She gasped for breath and removed the water curtain.

"We survived." Ella's voice was filled with lingering fear.

Morgan checked her condition.

His magic was depleted, and his bones had multiple cracks, but there were no fatal wounds.

The moment the explosion occurred, Gangku forcibly pulled the two of them back, using his physical body to withstand the first wave of impact.

Morgan released all of his death energy shields, while Ella drained her magic and condensed water defense.

The combined strength of the three barely saved their lives.

"Where are Captain Rein and the others?" Ella looked around.

"I don't know." Morgan shook his head. "The explosion was too powerful; the water swept us all away."

The three fell silent.

Ella looked at Gangku with a resentful look in her eyes.

Morgan was also staring at Gangku.

Gangku felt a little annoyed by the two men staring at him.

He grabbed a handful of the silt from the bottom and crushed it forcefully.

"What are you looking at me for? I admit I acted impulsively," Gangku said gruffly.

"That crab attacked me from behind; I can't just stand there and take the beating."

"Your punch ignited the entire underwater battlefield," Morgan said coldly. "We almost suffered total annihilation."

"I just risked my life to protect you! We're even!" Gangku raised his voice.

Morgan stopped arguing; he knew it was pointless to pursue the blame now.

"Staying here is certain death." Morgan stood up. "We must go up, confirm our location, and find the captain and the others."

Ella nodded, and Gangku had no objection either.

The three of them mobilized the remaining energy in their bodies and swam upwards.

I swam for a full half hour.

Whoosh!

The three of them emerged from the water.

A purplish-red wasteland came into view.

They climbed ashore and collapsed onto the mud.

"Mimicry," Morgan commanded. "The environment here is extremely hostile to us. We must disguise ourselves."

The three of them simultaneously activated the Time Demon Source.

Skeletal remodeling, flesh and blood alteration.

A few seconds later, three Mad Scythe Shadow Blade Insects, each several meters long, appeared on the wasteland.

Its entire body was covered in dark purple carapace, and its forelimbs were transformed into sharp bone sickles.

"Let's go. Let's find traces of the explosion." Morgan led the way.

Gangku and Ella followed behind.

Three bladed insects crawled swiftly across the wasteland.

The wilderness is vast and boundless.

They searched for a full three hours.

There were no craters, no wreckage.

Even the course of the River Styx has changed.

"I can't find it." Gangku stopped in his tracks.

His six compound eyes betrayed his frustration: "We can't even tell which way is which. Ryan and the others are probably dead."

"The captain isn't that easy to kill," Morgan retorted.

"Then where do you suggest we look?" Gangku countered.

Morgan remained silent.

He truly had no direction; they were like three headless flies.

Just then, Ella suddenly stopped.

The antennae on the top of her head trembled rapidly.

"Wait a minute," Ella said, sending out a mental signal. "I sense an energy fluctuation."

Morgan and Gangku both looked at her.

"What direction? What level of energy?" Morgan asked.

"Straight ahead." Ella turned northwest. "The energy level is extremely high and very stable, with no violent, destructive aura whatsoever."

Gangku's compound eyes lit up.

"Opportunity?" Gangku asked.

"It could be a trap," Morgan said, quickly pouring cold water on the idea.

"Has anything good happened to us since we landed in this world? Everything here is deadly."

"But we have no clue what to do right now," Ella said hesitantly. "If we continue wandering aimlessly, our Time Magic Source will eventually run out, and then we won't even be able to maintain our mimicry."

Morgan looked northwest, but the hazy fog obscured his view.

Gangku swung his bone sickle forcefully, cutting down a nearby rock.

"Let's go take a look," Gangku decided. "If you're afraid of dying, don't be a vagrant. What are we here for? To make money!"

"Now that the opportunity is right in front of me, I'd rather die than not take it."

Morgan hesitated for a moment.

Gangku is right, they have no way out.

"Stay vigilant, and evacuate immediately if anything seems amiss." Morgan agreed.

The three-bladed insects changed direction and headed northwest at full speed.

Along the way, the landscape began to change.

The purplish-red soil gradually turned into dark black rocks.

The heavy metal toxicity in the air has faded, replaced by an exceptionally pure high-level energy.

As they inhaled this energy, their injuries began to slowly heal.

Gangku's crawling speed is getting faster and faster.

"There must be treasure in this place." Gangku's mental state was filled with excitement.

"This level of energy concentration is even stronger than the top-grade spiritual veins we obtained in the cultivation world."

Mogan did not respond.

His unease grew stronger.

The purer the energy, the more terrifying the creatures guarding this place tend to be.

A few hours later.

The fog ahead gradually dissipated.

The three bladed insects stopped in their tracks at the same time.

They were stunned by the sight before them.

At the edge of the wasteland, a magnificent stone monument several hundred meters tall suddenly appears.

The stone tablet has a deep, starry color throughout, and its surface is engraved with intricate genetic maps.

Light flowed across the patterns of the design.

A vast and ancient aura emanates from the stone tablet, directly impacting the depths of one's soul.

Morgan felt his Time Demon essence trembling.

But that wasn't the most shocking thing for them.

What surprised them most was the scene beneath the stone tablet.

On the plains surrounding the stone tablet, hundreds of thousands of divine creatures lay densely packed together.

Vultures and bats circling in the sky.

On the ground, there are swarms of heavy beetles and putrefactive insects.

There were even bone fish and liquid gold crabs that crawled out of a tributary of the River Styx.

The creatures they encountered before would often fight each other to the death when they met in the outside world.

They'd fight tooth and nail over a corpse or a piece of territory.

But here, they all stay quietly in their places.

There was no fighting, no killing.

Bone fish and heavy beetles lay side by side.

The Vulture folded its wings and landed next to the Liquid Gold Crab's shell.

They all raised their heads and looked up at the genetic map on the stone tablet.

On the surface of these creatures' bodies, only two different colors of energy circulate.

Some creatures exude a dark golden power.

Some creatures have a faint purple glow flowing over them.

peace.

In this wasteland of gods filled with death and slaughter, there exists such a peaceful region.

Morgan's compound eyes contracted rapidly.

He got it.

"Rules," Morgan said in the telepathic channel. "There are rules here."

Gangku and Ella looked at him.

"The aura emanating from that stone tablet belongs to the ruling class of this divine realm," Morgan analyzed.

"This aura exerted an absolute bloodline suppression on these lower-ranking members of the family."

"To make a move here is to provoke the owner of the stone tablet, and will result in an attack from all creatures."

Gangku completely ignored Morgan's analysis.

His gaze remained fixed on the stone tablet.

Gangku recognized what was on the stone tablet.

"Titan Gene Map." Gangku's body trembled with excitement.

"It's the complete path of Titan power, without any impurities!"

As a physical cultivator, Gangku's pursuit of physical strength has reached the point of demonic obsession.

He had seen the remains of a god-level Titan in the starry sky.

That power to shatter a planet with a single punch was his lifelong dream.

Now, a complete evolutionary path of Titans was laid out before him, blatantly clear. How could he not be excited?

What drove Gangku even crazier was that he saw some creatures beneath the stone tablet.

A massive beetle, its back covered not only with thick Titan armor, but also with the ripples of Void Shadows swirling around its edges.

"Dual paths." Gangku's voice trembled. "They've actually comprehended two ultimate powers simultaneously!"

Gangku could no longer control himself.

He took a step forward, about to rush towards the stone tablet.

boom!

Morgan swung his bone scythe, blocking his path.

"Are you insane?!" Morgan roared.

Gangku stopped.

He turned his head and stared coldly at Morgan.

"Get out of the way." Gangku's voice was icy cold.

"You brainless idiot, what are you going to do!" Morgan retorted without backing down. "Have you forgotten our mission?"

"We're here to find the antidote! There are still over a thousand brothers waiting to die in the camp!"

"Captain Raine is missing. Our top priority now is to rendezvous and then return with the antidote!"

Mogan pointed to the stone tablet in the distance.

"That place is both an opportunity and an abyss! Do you think you can take that stone tablet?"

"If you reveal even the slightest trace of an outsider, these hundreds of thousands of monsters will tear you to shreds!"

Gangku let out a disdainful snort.

"What are you pretending to be, acting all high and mighty?" Gangku's tone was full of sarcasm. "You really think you're the savior?"

Gangku took a step closer.

The massive blade insect's body exuded a strong sense of oppression.

"We are wanderers of the stars, we are robbers."

"We're here to plunder resources and get rich!"

Gangku raised its forelegs and pointed at the stone tablet.

"A tremendous opportunity is right before our eyes."

"With that Titan gene map, I can break through the bottleneck of the Diamond tier. I can step into the extraordinary realm, or even higher!"

"You're telling me to give up this opportunity and worry about the lives of those good-for-nothings?"

Mogan was stunned.

He looked at Gangku, and for a moment he didn't know how to refute him.

"They are our people," Morgan gritted her teeth. "Colin sought death so as not to be a burden to everyone."

"Bart killed his own brother, and they struggled to survive in the camp."

"Are you going to abandon them now?"

"That's just bad luck for them!" Gangku interrupted mercilessly.

"The rule for the homeless is survival of the fittest. Those who can't withstand the erosion of the environment are simply useless."

Gangku turned to look at Ella.

"Ella, you tell us. Do we want this opportunity?"

Morgan also looked at Ella.

"Ella, don't listen to his nonsense, we have to go back," Morgan said.

Ella lowered her head.

Her antennae drooped slightly.

A few seconds later, Ella looked up, avoiding Morgan's gaze.

"Morgan...we don't know how long we've been unconscious." Ella's voice was low but clear.

"Maybe one day, maybe three days."

"Those clansmen who inhaled the spiritual energy couldn't possibly last that long. They've most likely already mutated and exploded."

Mogan's body trembled.

"What do you mean?" Morgan asked incredulously.

"What I mean is, if we go back now, we might only find a pile of corpses."

Ella continued, "Moreover, we haven't even seen a trace of the antidote."

Ella looked at the stone tablet in the distance.

"Gangku is right, the power here is too tempting."

"As long as we can understand its secrets, our strength will undergo a qualitative leap."

"We're just maximizing our profits."

Ella found an excuse for her betrayal.

"You...you guys..." Morgan pointed at the two of them and backed away repeatedly.

Anger, disappointment, sorrow...

A mix of emotions welled up in Mo Gan's heart.

He never imagined that after going through life and death together...

These two people would actually abandon all principles for immediate gains.

"You are not worthy to be Time Demons," Morgan said through gritted teeth.

Gangku sneered.

"Say whatever you want. If you want to be a saint, go find the antidote yourself, don't stop me from making a fortune."

Gangku ignored Mogan.

He turned around, took a few steps, and crawled toward the stone tablet.

He concealed all his aura, attempting to disguise himself as an ordinary insect and blend into the massive group of ascetics.

Ella glanced at Morgan.

"Sorry." Ella said this and turned to follow Gangku.

Mogan stood still.

The wind blew across the wasteland, stirring up a cloud of purplish-red dust.

He watched the two figures disappear into the distance.

These two people have been blinded by greed.

Sneak in?

Did they really think that perfect mimicry could fool that stone tablet?

Morgan looked away.

He turned around and walked back the way he came.

He didn't know where Raine was, nor did he know where the antidote was.

But he had to go find it.

Even if in the end all we can bring back is a corpse.

He would never become a monster ruled by greed like those two.

Morgan's figure disappeared into the hazy fog.

Gangku and Ella grew closer.

The oppressive aura emanating from the stone tablet grew stronger and stronger.

Gangku felt as if his internal organs were being subjected to immense gravitational pressure.

But the fervor in his eyes grew stronger.

He could already see the intricate patterns on the stone tablet.

It is the arrangement of muscle fibers of the Titan race, and it is the most direct manifestation of the law of strength.

"It's perfect," Gangku thought to himself.

He chose a spot on the edge.

Several uranium beetles lay nearby, resting with their eyes closed.

Gangku imitated them and lay down on the ground.

He unleashed his mental power, attempting to connect with the Titan diagram on the stone tablet.

Ella lay down not far from Gangku.

She had no interest in the Titan power; instead, she set her sights on the latent map on the other side of the monument.

The two people's spiritual power had just touched the light of the stone tablet.

hum!

Suddenly, a strong burst of starry sky ripples erupted from the surface of the stone tablet.

The ripple swept across Gangku and Ella's bodies.

The stone tablet's judgment mechanism has been triggered.
