Genshin Impact: Watch me turn the tables and kill my servants at the start!

Chapter 43 Falga: Kids these days are really hard to deal with!

Fanes stared at the blond, blue-eyed, armored, and greatsword-wielding burly man in front of him for a long time, and a memory from a corner of his mind was gently touched.

Fanes frowned and pondered for a few seconds, repeatedly comparing the face before him with the vague impressions from those research posts in his past life, before finally tentatively speaking: "You are... Falga?"

Falgar planted his greatsword on the beach, put his hands on his hips, and tilted his head slightly to look at the little guy in front of him who wasn't even as tall as his legs. A hint of surprise and smugness flashed in his blue eyes.

"Oh! I didn't expect you to recognize me! It seems my name, Falga, has become quite famous in the Seven Kingdoms. Even the children in Zhidong have heard of me."

Fanes silently considered the situation—the Falga before him was much younger than the description he had seen in the background of the story in his previous life, which made him suddenly realize a key point in time.

It is now twelve years before the main storyline begins. The person in front of us is not the legendary captain who later disappeared with his expedition for many years, but the current Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, who is in his prime and full of vigor.

Fanes suppressed the subtle expression on his lips, put on a bright smile that said "I have long admired your name," and bowed respectfully to Falga: "Thank you for saving my life, Commander Falga! If it weren't for your sword, I would probably have been crushed into mincemeat by that crab demon."

Falga waved his hand casually, about to say something polite like "it's nothing," when Fanes' smile vanished instantly, replaced by a serious expression that said, "I've finally caught the culprit."

Fanes took a step forward, tilted his head back and stared at Falga, stretched out a small hand, and launched into a barrage of words.

"Damn it! What's wrong with your security?! That huge mutated crab—no, two of them—was sitting there so plump and healthy on Eagle's Roar Beach, almost trampling our Fool's Enforcer to death! Are you Knights of Favonius trying to murder our Winterborn diplomats?! I'm starting to suspect, no, I'm certain, that you're researching biological weapons! You're definitely conducting some shady experiments underground in Mondstadt, otherwise where would such a huge crab come from?! You fucking owe Winterborn an explanation!"

Falgar froze in place, his greatsword-carrying stance frozen. He looked down at the six-year-old boy in front of him, who barely reached his waist—no, not even waist-high—and whose chubby face was hurling accusations at him with a voice louder than most politicians he'd ever met and far more outrageous than any diplomatic dispute he'd ever handled. The expression on his face shifted from "I'm saving someone" to "What's going on?", and then from "What's going on?" to "What is this little brat saying?"

"Is this correct?"

Falgar switched the greatsword to the other shoulder, raising an eyebrow. "Aren't I your savior? I just pulled you out from under a crab leg, and you come up here to make things difficult for us Mondstadt?"

Fanes, hands on hips and chin held high, declared righteously, "It's only because you saved my life! Otherwise, I would have cursed your ancestors for eighteen generations!"

Falgar was silent for a moment. He looked down at the little kid in front of him, who was tilting his head back with a "I'm in the right" expression, and only one thought echoed in his mind: Are all kids these days so aggressive? One word from him and all manners vanish.

Falgar has lived to such an old age, fought monsters, handled diplomacy, and led an entire knightly order, and he has never seen a six-year-old child who could silence his savior with a single sentence.

But he was, after all, Falgar. Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, a legendary figure who had traversed half of Teyvat. Being silenced by a six-year-old's words was clearly not his style.

Falgar switched the greatsword from his right hand to his left, adopted a more relaxed stance, narrowed his azure eyes slightly, and lowered his voice by half an octave, conveying a perfectly measured sense of threat.

"Kid, aren't you worried I'll just kill you right here? Then there'll be no way to prove it, and what can you guys from Zhidong's side say?"

Falgar thought this trick should be enough to deal with a child. A child, after all, would be scared and shrink back into silence upon hearing such words.

Fanes looked at him and remained silent for two seconds. Then he took a deep breath, tilted his head back, and raised his voice by at least three octaves, pointing precisely at Falga's chest with his right index finger.

"Damn it! You dare threaten me here! Let me tell you, if anything happens to me in Mondstadt, no matter the reason, your Knights of Favonius won't be able to escape! While I'm alive, I'm the Executor of the Fools; after I'm dead, I'm a nuclear weapon! When Winterbreak sends a word, Mondstadt will be crushed to dust by diplomatic pressure!"

Falga's expression froze completely. He opened his mouth, then closed it, then opened it again. He stood there silently for several seconds with that "I'm scaring a child" look on his face, his azure eyes darting back and forth across Fanes' puffed-up little face, before finally his lips twitched unnaturally.

Falgar felt a surge of unprecedented shock: Holy crap, are kids these days really that persuasive? Anyone else spouting this nonsense would have sounded like some old politician negotiating with me. Is this kid really six? Where did the Queen find this monster?

The sea breeze was howling on the beach, making the hem of Fanes' oversized coat flap loudly. Little Black squatted at his feet, looking up at the two humans facing off, his amber round eyes darting back and forth.

Yakoda peeked half her head out from behind Fanes, blinked her starry eyes, and whispered, "Boss, you're awesome."

Falga finally sighed, resignedly lowered the greatsword from his shoulder and planted it in the sand, then reached out and patted Fanes on the head—his hand fell very lightly, as if afraid of knocking him over.

"Alright, alright, kid. I'm not messing around with you anymore. I don't know where that mutated crab you mentioned came from, but since it's appeared in Mondstadt, I'll have someone investigate it when I get back. As for your 'nuclear weapon' claim..."

A smile appeared on Falgar's lips, a smile tinged with genuine appreciation. "Quite interesting. I wish you were from Mondstadt!"

Fanes didn't flinch when he was slapped on the head; he still stood with his hands on his hips and head tilted back, but a sly smile had already crept onto his lips: "Then it's settled! Let me know the results. I'm easy to talk to; just give me an explanation."

Falgar looked at the "easy-to-talk-to" brat in front of him, his lips twitched again, and he didn't say anything more. He drew his greatsword, slung it back over his shoulder, turned and walked towards Mondstadt. After taking five or six steps, he waved goodbye behind him without looking back.

The sea breeze, carrying the salty scent of water, blew in, gradually smoothing over the messy footprints on the beach. The setting sun burned the clouds on the horizon into layers of varying shades of orange-red. A few seagulls flew back from afar, landed on the rocks, tilted their heads to look at the two figures, one big and one small, on the beach, and then fluttered away again.

Fanes stood on the beach watching Falga's figure disappear into the distant edge of the woods, let out a long breath, then bent down and picked up the little black dog squatting at his feet, placing it on his shoulder.

Yakoda leaned in from behind: "Boss, weren't you afraid he'd kill you just now?"

Fanes patted the young dragon's head and turned to walk towards Mondstadt: "What are you afraid of? What I said earlier was only half true. If we really die here, Winterfell will indeed come looking for trouble, but he is the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. He wouldn't kill a little kid just to cover up his words."

Yakoda thought for a moment, then added seriously, "Boss, you're awesome."

If you think the main character has a bad temper, just kidding, if you were chased and beaten by a 30-meter-long crab, I guarantee you'd curse at him even more swearing than he did!

As the saying goes, I wouldn't even glance at a three-centimeter crab, I'd be grateful for a thirty-centimeter crab as a gift from nature, I'd run away as fast as I could from a three-meter crab, and I'd curse the crap out of a thirty-meter crab!

This refers to the height; if converted to length, it would be close to 70 meters!
