Genshin Impact: Watch me turn the tables and kill my servants at the start!

Chapter 9: When you're young, all you want to do is eat and sleep!

Fanes felt he had never eaten such a full meal in his life.

To be honest, during the initial period after I transmigrated, I lived a life of eating black bread and drinking cold water every day. Occasionally, I could have a sausage as an extra meal, which felt like a New Year's celebration.

But at this moment, the plate was piled high with cream puffs, almond cookies, cheesecake, and strawberry tarts, and there was a glass of warm milk beside him—Rosalyn had specifically asked the waiter to change it, saying that drinking black tea would affect children's sleep, although Fanes felt that this statement had no scientific basis whatsoever in the polar night environment of winter.

Fañez was engrossed in his food, looking like a hamster that hadn't eaten for three days, his cheeks bulging and his chewing movements fast and hurried.

Rosalyn leaned back on the sofa not far away, propping her chin up with one hand as she watched him eat, a satisfied smile on her lips that seemed to say, "Keeping pets is really fun."

Meanwhile, Arecino sat in another corner, holding a teacup that was half-cold. She didn't drink it, but just quietly watched the snow falling outside the window, as if the liveliness in the room was separated from her by an invisible glass.

The girl was the first to put down her cutlery.

She didn't actually eat much. Fanes noticed that she spent most of the time "looking" at others through her eyes, which were behind a mesh veil.

The girl moved very gently and ate slowly, like a lazy cat savoring the plate of dried fish in front of her. But after she finished eating, that languid air suddenly vanished, replaced by a kind of... overly energetic excitement.

The girl stood up from the sofa, walked barefoot on the carpet, and floated lightly to Sandoni's bedside.

Then she jumped up.

"Sandogne!"

The girl bounced twice on the mattress, her light-colored long hair flying up and down with her movements. Her face, hidden beneath the mesh veil, was turned towards the puppet. "Come play with me!"

Sandonne was sitting on the chair next to her, flipping through a mechanical design book, when the girl's shout almost made him drop the book.

Looking up, I saw a girl in a light-colored dress hopping around on my mattress like a rabbit. The sheets were crumpled by her feet, the pillow was kicked into the corner, and the whole bed was a mess.

A small flame flickered in Sandoni's blue eyes.

"Get down here." Her voice was low, but her anger was about to explode. "That's my bed."

The girl ignored her and bounced up and down a couple more times: "Come on, come on! Chase me!"

Sandonne gritted her teeth and grabbed the first thing within reach—the pillow the girl had kicked into the corner—and hurled it at the person on the bed. The pillow arced through the air, but the girl nimbly dodged to the side, and the pillow grazed her shoulder before slamming against the wall behind the bed with a thud.

Missed.

Fanes, with half an almond cookie dangling from his mouth, watched the scene with great interest. He felt as if he were watching a reality TV show that could be called "The Daily Life of the Executives." He chewed on the cookie, preparing to watch the excitement a little longer, when suddenly, with a "whoosh," something swept past the edge of his vision at an extremely fast speed.

By the time she realized what was happening, the second pillow had already hit the girl's head with pinpoint accuracy.

boom.

The down comforter stuffed into the pillow was thrown open, and a few white feathers drifted down into the girl's hair. The girl was stunned for a moment, standing there bewildered, her expression beneath the mesh veil suggesting she couldn't understand where the pillow had come from.

Fanes slowly turned his head.

Rosalyn was still leaning back on the sofa, her posture elegant, one hand supporting her chin, the other hand still held the force of her throwing the pillow. Her expression was innocent, as if she hadn't done anything, but Fanes clearly saw the slight upturn at the corner of her mouth.

The girl had obviously seen it too. She touched her forehead where she'd been hit, then laughed. It wasn't her usual dazed, lazy laugh, but rather an excited laugh that said, "Fine, you ambushed me, so I won't hold back." She bent down, picked up the pillow that had hit her, and threw it forcefully towards Rosalyn.

Rosalyn dodged to the side, and the pillow hit the floor lamp behind her, causing the lampshade to sway twice before stabilizing.

"OK."

Rosalyn stood up from the sofa, the hem of her red dress swaying in the air as she moved. "Playing, huh?"

He reached out and grabbed a sofa cushion.

What followed was a complete melee.

Pillows, cushions, and even sofa throws fluttered around the room, feathers dancing in the air like artificial snow.

The girl moved with incredible agility across the battlefield, barefoot on the carpet, dodging left and right, using a pillow as a shield, and seizing every opportunity to counterattack.

Rosalyn, on the other hand, was steady and methodical, aiming precisely at her target with every throw. Almost every cushion she threw hit the girl's shoulder, back, and even the back of her head once.

Sandone was caught in the fray, and although she tried her best to back down, the girl grabbed her skirt and dragged her into the water. She was forced to grab a round cushion and wave it wildly, shouting, "You two, stop!" but her voice was drowned out by feathers and laughter.

Fanes was about to continue eating when a cushion flew past his ear and smashed a cup of tea on the table. He immediately realized that his position was no longer safe.

Without hesitation, he stuffed the two remaining cream puffs on the plate into his mouth as quickly as possible, then, clutching the last piece of cheesecake, scrambled and crawled under Sandoni's bed.

The space under the bed wasn't large, but it was just right for a six-year-old's body. Fañes huddled in the darkness, pulling the blanket—the one that the girl had bounced all over—down from the edge of the bed and wrapping it around himself, like a tightly rolled-up silkworm cocoon.

Curled up in bed, she slowly nibbled on the surviving piece of cheesecake, listening to the thumping of pillows outside, the girl's laughter, Rosalin's snorts, and Sandonne's furious protests.

Amidst this chaos, one person remained calm throughout.

Arecino sat on the single sofa by the window, her short white hair gleaming coldly in the snowy light streaming in from outside. She didn't move at all—no, she moved once, when a pillow flew towards her; she merely tilted her head slightly, and the pillow flew past her ear, grazing the ends of her hair and hitting the wall behind her.

Apart from that, the servant's posture and sitting angle remained unchanged, and not a single drop of tea was spilled from the teacup in his hand.

Phanes huddled under the covers, peering at the battlefield through the gap in the corner of the blanket.

The girl was buried under three pillows at the same time, her hair covered in white down; Rosalyn stood behind the sofa, holding a cushion in a defensive posture; Sandone's skirt was slightly torn, and she was angrily waving a small pillow as she chased the girl around the room.

Fanes swallowed the last bite of cheesecake and sighed contentedly.

I'm so full.

The warmth in his stomach and the pillow fight outside created a strange contrast, causing his eyelids to droop involuntarily.

That's how a six-year-old's body is. If they eat too much, they'll get sleepy; if they sit for too long, they'll get tired. Even if the twenty-year-old inside them is thinking, "I can watch one more episode of the show," their little body is completely uncooperative.

Huddled under the covers, she listened to the thumping sounds outside fading into the distance, feathers still fluttering in the air, and the girl's laughter tinkling like wind chimes. Sandone seemed to be shouting something again, Rosalind appeared to reply with something, and Arecino was probably still quietly drinking her tea.

Fanes closed his eyes.
