Lu Ze walked up to the fluorescent pink trash can and casually opened the lid.

At first glance, there was nothing special inside; it was just waste paper, empty cans, and leftover lunch boxes.

Through that layer of translucent hair, the pink outline of the trash can behind you could be vaguely seen.

"I have a feeling this dog is a bit dead."

Lu Ze looked down at the translucent little dog crouching at his feet. It was tilting its head back and wagging its tail, looking quite lively, which was completely at odds with its ghostly transparent body.

Hoshino looked down and saw the dog; her reaction was even stronger than Lu Ze's.

"No, Peipei, what happened to you?"

She quickly crouched down and reached out to pick up the puppy, but her fingers passed right through the translucent body, as if passing through a cloud of cold mist.

Pepe tilted her head and licked Xing's fingers—though she didn't actually lick anything.
