Jingle ~

In the vacuum of space, where no medium can transmit sound, a clear, silvery bell rang out without any obstruction.

Before anyone could react, the girl vanished right under the noses of all the major powers.

"Where did that woman who seemed to be the messenger go?" Carucio yelled at his assistant.

He has been in this manic state ever since the MiTu Cannon failed.

That was a launch permission that he had worked so hard for and used so many resources to obtain. It should have been the most dazzling achievement on his resume, but now it has become a huge joke.

Before the assistant could answer, a sound like raindrops falling on a lake gently rang out in the command room.

Are you looking for me?

Everyone in the command room was shocked and turned to look behind them.

The girl was standing on the platform behind the captain's chair, still holding the round, egg-shaped stone in her arms, her bare feet making no sound on the cold alloy floor.

"Who are you?" Carucio demanded sharply, his fingers trembling slightly on the armrest.

"Me? My name is Aheng, and I'm the witch of Master Zhidian." The girl puffed out her chest with pride and hugged the stone in her arms even tighter.

She tilted her head and looked at Carucio, her tone filled with undisguised anticipation, like a child who had just received a gift and wanted to open another one.

The armed security personnel all around immediately raised their guns, pointing them at the uninvited girl.

The clicking and popping of safety latches echoed throughout the command room, instantly taut like a string about to snap.

Ah Heng merely glanced at the dark gun barrels and didn't take them seriously.

Even the MiTu cannon couldn't do anything to her, so these guns were even less likely to cause her any harm.

She raised her eyes to look at Carucio, her tone indifferent.

"Don't be nervous, I'm not some kind of demon, I won't do anything to you. I just want to ask you if you know someone named Lu Ze."

She paused at this point, perhaps feeling that simply stating the name wasn't detailed enough.

She then stood on tiptoe, stretched out her right hand and raised it high as she gestured, the silver bells around her bare ankles making a series of crisp, tinkling sounds with her movements.

"A kid this tall, with short black hair, who likes to leer at girls' legs." Ah Heng earnestly repeated the description of Lu Ze that she had heard from that adult.

The command room was silent for a full second.

Several security personnel exchanged glances subconsciously, and Carucio's lips twitched violently—what on earth was going on?

"We don't know any Lu Ze. Please leave immediately."

His patience had been completely worn down by this out-of-control farce, and he just wanted this inexplicable woman to disappear from his flagship as soon as possible.

If he hadn't been outmatched, he would have used force to drive them away long ago.

"Is that so?" A hint of disappointment flashed across Ah Heng's face, but she did not press the matter further.

She muttered something to the stone in her arms, then looked up again, deciding to ask somewhere else.

With a single step, the silver bell on her ankle rang out again, and she vanished from her spot, leaving only the ringing bell echoing slowly in the command room.

Carucio's legs went weak, and he slumped into the captain's chair.

The moment his back hit the chair, he realized that his shirt was already soaked with cold sweat and stuck stickily to his skin.
