After passing through the metal door at the back of the laboratory, the five people walked about two hundred meters down a sloping passage, where the smell of disinfectant in the air grew stronger.

At the end of the passage was a huge airtight door, with a sign on the side of the door bearing a line of striking red text—

"Restaurant B - Unauthorized Entry Prohibited"

Silver Wolf curled her lip, knowing exactly what was going on inside, and scoffed at this place that was clearly a biological weapons depot but was called a restaurant.

And this is a restaurant, a restaurant for lickers, isn't it!

She casually manipulated the access control panel a few times, and the airtight door let out a deflated hiss as it slowly slid open to both sides.

The sight behind the door made everyone hold their breath.

It was an extremely vast space with a ceiling over ten meters high. Cold white light poured down from above, illuminating hundreds of neatly arranged, enormous glass culture devices.

These devices are cylindrical, each about two meters in diameter and nearly three meters high, and are filled with a pale green nutrient solution, with bubbling bubbles constantly rising from the bottom.

Behind the transparent glass wall of each culture device, a curled-up creature with no skin and its muscle tissue completely exposed is suspended.

Their fingers have sharp, knife-like claws at the ends, long tongues coiled around the outside of their mouths, and a dark red organ that is faintly visible beating slowly around their hearts.

Licker.

Looking around, there are at least hundreds of such culture devices.

The entire space was so quiet that only the sound of the nutrient solution circulating pump and the faint sound of bubbles bursting could be heard, like a sleeping monster's tomb.

Black Tower walked to the nearest incubation device, stood on tiptoe, and observed the creature behind the glass wall with great interest.

She tilted her head and used her interpretive skills: "The muscle fiber density is eight times that of humans, the epidermis is missing, the nervous system is directly exposed, and the pain threshold is extremely high."

"Oh, our genius little old lady is starting her lesson again." Silver Wolf crossed his arms, a hint of mockery in his gray eyes. "Want me to get you a little stool and a piece of chalk?"

Without turning his head, Black Tower retorted lazily, "That's still better than some Star Core Hunters who only know how to solve problems with violence."

Star Core Hunter?

Although she didn't know what the word meant, Ada Wong silently memorized it.

Seeing that the two rivals were about to start arguing again, Lu Ze interjected at the opportune moment, his tone tinged with helplessness.

He tugged at Silver Wolf's wrist: "Silver Wolf, stop trying to provoke Black Tower. There are Lickers everywhere. Staying vigilant is more important than arguing."

Silver Wolf, who was about to speak, snorted and said nothing more.

Seeing that Silver Wolf had backed down, Black Tower naturally didn't bother to argue with her.

Just then—

A clear, childlike voice suddenly rang out throughout the space.

"Welcome to my home."

The sudden sound alerted all five of them.

Silver Wolf instantly raised his P90 and swept the muzzle in the direction from which the sound came.

Ada Wong's hand also rested on the holster at her waist.

Just then, a holographic projection slowly appeared in mid-air in front of everyone.

The image is of a little girl who looks about seven or eight years old.

She wore a bright red dress, her dark brown wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders, her face was fair and delicate, and her large, clear blue eyes were pure and without a trace of impurity.

She clasped her hands in front of her, her posture demure, a faint smile on her lips, looking like a little princess straight out of a fairy tale.

"Hello, I am the Red Queen."

The little girl gently lifted her skirt with one hand, slightly bent her knees, and spoke in a sweet and gentle voice.
