The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 105 He Qianwen's Lessons
After leaving Ye Qinghan's office, Lin Feng took a taxi directly to Bai Jinhai.
During the day, Platinum Sea was deserted, with only a few cleaning ladies wiping the floor. The crystal chandelier was off, making the entire lobby appear dim and gloomy.
The young woman at the front desk recognized him and pointed directly to the elevator, saying that Sister Hong was on the fourth floor.
In the office, Sister Hong was sitting behind her desk flipping through a stack of account books.
Today, instead of wearing his signature black long-sleeved shirt, he changed into a dark gray short-sleeved T-shirt, but the color was still dark, and he was covered up neatly.
Seeing Lin Feng push the door open and come in, she closed the account book, pushed it aside, and leaned back in her chair to look at him.
Lin Feng sat down on the sofa, picked up the can of Coke on the coffee table, and opened it without hesitation.
He briefly recounted his conversation with Ye Qinghan, mentioning that the leads on Tie Tou and his cousin had been officially handed over to the anti-drug squad, and that Ye Qinghan had agreed to arrange for someone to follow up.
After listening, Sister Hong remained silent for a while.
He pulled a cigarette from the pack, put it in his mouth, and flicked the lighter. The flame shot up, and the cigarette butt sizzled as it burned.
He took a deep breath, and smoke billowed out of his nostrils.
"If the Municipal Narcotics Control Division really starts investigating, things will definitely get unsettled in Hehai City these next few days." She flicked the ash into the ashtray. "You're right. All the card rooms and Baijinhai need to be extra careful during this period. They can't afford to run into trouble."
He picked up the landline on the table, dialed an internal number, and said, "Kui Zi, come up here." After hanging up, he called Brother Biao and asked him to notify all the managers of the card and mahjong parlors to come to a meeting that evening.
After making the arrangements, she leaned back in her chair, tapping her fingers lightly on the table, and looked at Lin Feng.
"You've helped me a lot this time. The ecstasy thing, the Fu Yongwei thing before, and the big inspection of the card room, I've owed you several times already." She stubbed out her cigarette, stood up, walked around the desk to the sofa, sat down opposite Lin Feng, and crossed her legs.
Today I'm wearing a pair of dark gray casual pants with wide legs. When I cross my legs, the hem of the pants slides up a bit, revealing a very thin silver chain on my ankle.
"If you need anything in the future, just say so. No need to beat around the bush." Her voice still had that cold tone.
Lin Feng took a sip of his cola. "Sister Hong, I'm not helping you because I want you to owe me a favor. I didn't say any of that when you helped me."
Hongjie glanced at him, a fleeting smile playing on her lips.
Just as I was about to say something, there was a knock on the door.
Kui Zi pushed open the door and came in. He saw Lin Feng sitting on the sofa and nodded as a greeting.
Hongjie repeated the arrangements to Kuizi, instructing him to assign more people to keep a close watch on all floors of Baijinhai in the next few days, and to ensure that all guests in the private rooms undergo security checks before entering, and to detain anyone found with suspicious pills and call the police immediately.
After leaving Bai Jinhai, it was already dark. Lin Feng hailed a taxi and headed straight for the First People's Hospital.
Su's mother has been transferred to a regular ward for several days now. He visits her every one or two days, sometimes bringing food cooked by Zhang Xiulan, and sometimes just going over to sit for a while.
When the door to the ward was opened, Su's mother had just finished eating and was leaning against the headboard talking to Su Mengya.
When she saw Lin Feng come in, she smiled and said, "Xiao Feng is here again," and then yawned.
Su Mengya lowered the headboard so she could lie down comfortably, and then tucked the blanket in. Su's mother closed her eyes, and her breathing soon became even.
The private room fell silent, with only the steady ticking of the electrocardiogram monitor.
Su Mengya dimmed the bedside lamp to its lowest setting, then turned to look at Lin Feng. Today, he was wearing a light blue short-sleeved T-shirt and a white knee-length skirt, his hair casually tied back with a hair tie, a few stray strands clinging to his neck.
She had clearly lost weight during her few days in the hospital; her chin was sharper, and her eye sockets were a bit deeper than before, but she seemed to be in good spirits.
He tilted his head slightly towards the bathroom.
Lin Feng understood, and the two of them tiptoed into the bathroom and closed the door.
As soon as the door was locked, Su Mengya wrapped her arms around his neck, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him.
The kiss carried an eagerness that had been suppressed for several days and finally found an outlet. Her lips trembled slightly as they touched, and she pressed herself into his arms, holding him tightly.
Lin Feng raised his hand and put it around her waist. Through the thin fabric of her clothes, he could clearly feel her slender waist rising and falling slightly with her rapid breathing.
The faint smell of disinfectant from the hospital mingled with her usual light and pleasant fragrance, which was particularly noticeable in the small space.
Su Mengya let out a very soft breath, quickly biting her lower lip to suppress it, her forehead pressed against his chin, her breath hot and rapid.
"You brat," she said in a very low voice, slightly out of breath, "this is a hospital."
"You kissed me first." Lin Feng gently tightened his grip on her waist, and she pressed herself even closer, her fingertips clutching the back of his shirt, trembling slightly.
"Stop it... my mom is still outside..." She buried her face in his neck, her warm breath brushing against his skin, but she didn't push him away at all. Instead, she snuggled closer to him.
The two embraced quietly for a while in the small space, the only sound being their intertwined breaths. When Lin Feng let go, Su Mengya reached out and tugged at his sleeve, then glared at him.
That look carried a hint of coquettishness, her eyes were slightly red, and her lips were more vibrant than usual; she showed no sign of anger whatsoever.
Finally, she let go, looked down to straighten the crumpled hem of her clothes and the stray hairs at her temples, pursed her lips in front of the mirror, and only opened the door after confirming that nothing was wrong.
When Su's mother came out of the bathroom, she was still sleeping soundly, with a slight smile on her lips, as if she was having a sweet dream.
Su Mengya sat down on the edge of the bed, reached out and brushed the stray hairs from her mother's forehead, then glanced back at Lin Feng.
"You should go home early, you have class tomorrow. I can manage here by myself."
Lin Feng nodded.
As he reached the ward door, Su Mengya called out to him again, "My mom is being discharged on Saturday. Can you come and help me move my things?" He agreed and then went out.
