The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 112 Hiding in the Cave
When the airbag deployed, Lin Feng felt as if his face had been slammed into a white wall, and his nostrils were filled with the acrid smell of burning gunpowder.
The car rolled several times, and my body was tightly bound to the seat by the seatbelt. My head hit the side window, and my ears were ringing.
When the car finally stopped rolling and landed upside down on the hillside, I stared at the upside-down world with my eyes open, and it took me several seconds to realize that I was still alive.
There was blood on my face, flowing down from my forehead, and it was sticky and smeared on my left eyelashes.
I wiped it with my still-movable right hand. There wasn't much blood; it was just a scrape on my forehead.
Turning his head to look at the driver's seat, Ye Qinghan was hanging upside down in the seat by the seatbelt, his head tilted to the side. His dark gray vest was cut in several places by broken glass, and a small patch of skin with blood was exposed below his collarbone.
Ye Qinghan's eyes were closed, and her face was expressionless.
Lin Feng called Ye Qinghan twice, but there was no response.
He reached out and touched Ye Qinghan's neck, his fingers pressing on Ye Qinghan's carotid artery—it was pulsating; he was still alive.
He unbuckled his seatbelt and fell onto the roof of the car, then climbed over to Ye Qinghan and helped her unbuckle her seatbelt as well.
Ye Qinghan slid off the seat, and Lin Feng caught her, slowly pulling her out through the shattered car window.
Outside the car were steep hillsides covered with shrubs and wild grass, and the air was filled with the smell of soil and gasoline.
It was completely dark. There was no moon, only the pale light of the emergency lights inside the car shining through the shattered windows, barely enough to make out a few steps around me.
Just then, voices came from the mountain.
It wasn't the sound of the wind, it was the sound of people.
Someone was shouting something, the sound was broken and intermittent by the mountain wind, but Lin Feng clearly heard one sentence: "The car is down there, go down and check, we need to find him alive or dead."
Lin Feng's heart suddenly clenched.
Looking down at Ye Qinghan leaning against his chest, Ye Qinghan shifted slightly, her brows furrowed, and she let out a muffled groan.
Fortunately, Ye Qinghan woke up.
She covered Ye Qinghan's mouth and whispered that someone was chasing them and they had to leave.
Ye Qinghan looked at Lin Feng, her eyes quickly clearing from their dazed state. Releasing her grip, Ye Qinghan nodded and muttered that she couldn't put weight on her legs.
Lin Feng looked down at Ye Qinghan's left foot; her ankle was swollen, making the cuffs of her sweatpants bulge.
Without hesitation, he put Ye Qinghan's arm on his shoulder and half-carried, half-dragged her down the hillside.
It was too dark to see the road at all. Lin Feng could only use the faint light left by the emergency light to distinguish whether the road ahead was bushes or rocks.
The sounds behind them grew closer, the thud of someone sliding down the hillside on loose stones, and someone shouting, "We've seen this side, let's go that way."
Lin Feng quickened his pace, and Ye Qinghan let out a suppressed groan with each step her ankle hit the ground, but Ye Qinghan gritted her teeth and didn't make a sound.
suddenly!
The ground beneath my feet suddenly disappeared.
Lin Feng lost his footing, and both of their bodies plummeted downwards. Instinctively, Lin Feng reached out to grab something in mid-air, but grasped nothing.
Then the icy mountain stream water surged up from all directions and poured into Lin Feng's ears, nose and mouth.
The water flowed very fast; it was a mountain stream, about two meters wide, but deeper than Lin Feng had expected, and he couldn't touch the bottom.
The stream carried Lin Feng downstream, and in the darkness, Lin Feng clung tightly to Ye Qinghan's clothes. Ye Qinghan struggled in the water for a few moments, choking and coughing violently.
I don't know how far I drifted, but the stream made a bend, the water surface widened, and the current slowed down.
Lin Feng's foot finally touched the pebbles on the riverbed. With all his might, he dragged Ye Qinghan ashore, and the two of them collapsed on the pebble beach, panting heavily.
The T-shirt was soaked and clung to Ye Qinghan's body, as was her dark gray vest, which clearly outlined the contours of her chest. Her two full breasts swayed up and down with her heavy breathing.
After resting for about two minutes, Lin Feng helped Ye Qinghan up again. Her left foot could no longer touch the ground, and her entire weight was on Lin Feng.
Lin Feng and his companions walked slowly downstream along the stream. After walking for about ten minutes, Lin Feng saw a vaguely discernible depression in the darkness ahead.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a cave. The entrance was small, requiring one to bend over to squeeze in, but the interior was surprisingly spacious, with a room about two meters wide and three meters deep, and just the right height for an adult to stand upright.
Lin Feng helped Ye Qinghan into the cave and sat her down against the cave wall, then squatted at the cave entrance and observed the outside for a while.
The sounds outside were completely gone, except for the rustling of the mountain wind through the treetops and the sound of the flowing stream.
Unexpected events can happen at any time.
Thunder began to rumble, and a bolt of lightning cleaved the night sky, illuminating the entire valley in a blinding white light for a moment.
Then came a deafening rumble of thunder rolling overhead, causing rubble to fall from the cave walls. A downpour was imminent.
Lin Feng peeked outside and saw several dead shrubs and dry branches scattered on the ground near the cave entrance.
He bent down and crawled out of the cave, quickly gathering dry firewood by the light of the lightning. The mountain wind blew against Lin Feng's soaked clothes, making him shiver with cold.
He carried the firewood back and forth three times, piling it into a small heap at the cave entrance. Just as he dragged the last bundle of branches into the cave, the downpour began.
Raindrops pattered against the rocks at the cave entrance, and the entire valley was shrouded in a curtain of water.
Lin Feng used a few thick shrub branches to briefly cover the entrance to the cave, then squatted down next to the pile of dry firewood and took out the half-pack of cigarettes and lighter from his pocket.
The cigarettes were given to Lin Feng by Kui Zi, and the lighter was also given to him by Kui Zi a couple of days ago.
The lighter was still wet with water droplets. Lin Feng shook it and tried several times but couldn't light it. His heart was in his throat. After a few more tries, finally, with a snap, the flame shot up.
The dry firewood was highly flammable, and the fire quickly blazed up. The flames dispelled the darkness in the cave and brought warmth.
Lin Feng found a few thicker tree branches and built a simple clothes rack next to the campfire. He then took off his soaking wet T-shirt, wrung it out, and hung it on the rack.
The firelight illuminated Raymond Lam's bare upper body. His physique, honed by years of yoga practice, wasn't overly muscular but clearly defined, with the outlines of his chest and abdominal muscles flickering in the dancing firelight.
Lin Feng turned his head to look at Ye Qinghan.
Ye Qinghan's ankle swelled up even more, and a large bulge could be seen even through her trouser leg.
Lin Feng shifted his gaze from Ye Qinghan and said, "Aunt Ye, you should put your clothes on too. Wearing wet clothes can easily make you catch a cold."
Ye Qinghan looked down at her clothes, paused for a second, then her lips twitched slightly as she said, "Turn around, and don't peek at Auntie's body."
Lin Feng turned around to face the cave entrance, his ears turning red. Behind him came the sound of clothes being taken off and wrung out, and the soft rustling of branches bending under their weight.
Then Ye Qinghan's voice said it was settled.
