The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 219 is probably not a good thing.
Lin Feng turned off his phone screen and leaned back in the driver's seat, thinking for a while.
These three men, Lao Gui, A Bin, and A Hao, are all seasoned veterans who have followed Sister Hong for many years. On the surface, they cooperate to clear their names, but in private, they are always restless.
Old Gui had been running casinos and loan sharking businesses in the eastern part of the city for many years. He had a group of brothers who had risked their lives for him and were used to making quick money through shady means. Now that he was being asked to work as a security captain at a billiards hall every day and receive a fixed monthly salary, he was naturally unhappy.
Ah Bin and Ah Hao were his right-hand men. The three of them often got together to drink, and when they were drunk, they would boast to their brothers about how powerful they were when they followed the old gang leader.
They say the current Dragon Scale is too soft. Sister Hong, a woman, doesn't dare to touch the gray industry, and Lin Feng, a young upstart, doesn't know anything about business. They let all the great opportunities slip by.
Kui Zi had said these words to him more than once.
Shangguan Jinghong couldn't bring himself to be ruthless towards these old brothers, always feeling that they had followed the old man all the way, and even if they hadn't made any great contributions, they had at least worked hard.
But Lin Feng didn't think so. All of Longlin's businesses were now going through a formalization process. The bank's credit loan had just been approved, the contract for the Qingyuan scenic area project was about to be signed, and the renovation of the Keda Hotel was in its final stages.
If someone within the organization is involved in shady activities at this time, once it is discovered, the entire Dragon Scale organization will be dragged down.
He had to get rid of these people before anything happened.
In the afternoon, he had Kui Zi book a private room at Baijinhai and, in his capacity as the vice president of Longlin Group, formally invited Lao Gui, Abin, and Ahao to dinner.
The air conditioning in the private room was on full blast, and a white tablecloth covered the round table, where several exquisite cold dishes and a bottle of Moutai were laid out.
Lin Feng sat in the main seat, with Kui Zi beside him. The two waited for nearly half an hour, but there was still no movement at the door of the private room. The waiter came in twice to refill the tea, and then quietly left.
Kui Zi picked up her phone and scrolled through it, her expression growing increasingly grim.
"Old Gui said he's not feeling well today and can't come. Ah Bin and Ah Hao simply won't answer the phone, and they won't reply to my messages either." Kui Zi slammed her phone on the table, her voice laced with anger. "Those three are doing this on purpose. They think you're young and don't take you seriously at all. They greet you with smiles and call you 'President Lin,' but they don't care about you at all. I'm going to call Sister Hong and have her come over in person."
Lin Feng held a cigarette between his fingers, and the smoke slowly rose in the dim light of the private room, obscuring half of his face.
He squinted at the unopened bottle of Moutai on the table, slowly finished the cigarette with it in his mouth, and then stubbed it out in the ashtray.
"No need. I'll handle it." Lin Feng picked up his phone, scrolled through his contacts, found Ye Qinghan's number, and dialed it.
The phone rang a few times before being answered. Ye Qinghan's voice came through the receiver, sounding slightly surprised.
"Aunt Ye, I need your help with something." Lin Feng recited the names of Lao Gui, A Bin, and A Hao, and briefly explained the things they had done under Sister Hong's command—gambling, illegal detention, intentional assault, and extortion. These records could be found on the police system's internal network. He asked Ye Qinghan to help him detain these three men for a few days so he could have time to talk to them face-to-face.
Ye Qinghan remained silent for a moment on the other end of the phone.
Dealing with these socially unemployed individuals with criminal records is part of the final phase of the campaign against organized crime, and there are no procedural issues involved.
The two of them had been intimate all night, and she was in a much better mood today than before.
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then someone said okay, and told him to wait and they would notify him when the person was caught.
After hanging up the phone, Lin Feng placed it on the table. Kui Zi looked at him, her mouth moving slightly, but the surprise in her eyes was impossible to hide.
He had followed Lin Feng for so long and knew that Lin Feng had a relationship with Ye Qinghan, but he didn't expect that Lin Feng could directly call the city bureau chief to personally order the arrest, and the other party agreed so readily.
He was quick-witted and probably guessed something, but he didn't say anything. He just mentally elevated Lin Feng's importance even further.
Lin Feng gestured for him not to stand there, picked up his chopsticks, took a piece of cold jellyfish salad and put it in his mouth, saying that since they had ordered so many dishes, they shouldn't waste them and should eat first.
Kui Zi realized what was happening and picked up his chopsticks to start eating. The two chatted about trivial things while eating, and Kui Zi mentioned that the billiard hall that Brother Biao had recently opened in the east of the city was doing very well, with several college students coming all the way from the south of the city to play billiards.
Less than an hour after he started eating, Lin Feng's phone vibrated.
It was Ye Qinghan calling.
When the call connected, Ye Qinghan's voice was brief and efficient: "All three have been arrested and are at Xingqing Police Station. I've spoken to Chief Wang; you can go whenever you want."
Lin Feng said thank you, and after hanging up the phone, he told Kui Zi that the person was already at the police station.
Kui Zi put his chopsticks on the table, picked up his car keys, stood up, and said, "Let's go."
Xingqing Police Station is located on an old street in the west of the city. It has a small storefront with several police cars parked in front.
Kui Zi parked the car at the entrance, and as soon as the two of them got out, a middle-aged man in a police uniform strode out of the police station gate.
He was in his early forties, with a square face, short hair, and some graying temples. He carried a three-star police rank on his shoulders.
He walked up to Lin Feng, extended his hand, and said with a smile, "You must be President Lin. I'm Wang Ming. Director Ye told me to fully cooperate with you."
Lin Feng shook his hand and said, "Thank you for your help, Director Wang." Wang Ming quickly waved his hand and said, "It's no trouble at all. Cooperating with the Municipal Bureau is what I should do."
He knew very well that this young man was someone of considerable importance, as the city bureau chief had personally called to arrange work for him.
As long as it doesn't violate rules or regulations, he can cooperate with anything within the scope of his duties.
The three men entered the police station's office building, walked through a corridor lit by fluorescent tubes, and turned into the detention room.
The detention cell's iron door was very thick, with a small observation window on it. Wang Ming gestured to the officer next to him to open the door. After the iron door was pushed open, Lin Feng went inside.
Inside was a small room with off-white tiles on the walls and a pale white light from the fluorescent tubes on the ceiling.
In the corner was a metal bench, where three people sat: Lao Gui, Abin, and Ahao. All three were handcuffed, and their expressions were all different.
Ah Bin, the youngest, sat on the far side of the bench, his face full of fear, nervously rubbing his trouser leg with his fingers.
Ah-hao seemed relatively calm, but the beads of sweat on his forehead betrayed him.
Old Gui sat in the middle of the bench, legs crossed, trying to maintain a nonchalant expression, but Lin Feng noticed that his toes were shaking involuntarily.
The crackdown on organized crime in Hehai City hasn't subsided yet, and being arrested at this critical juncture is probably not a good thing.
