The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 311 Ma Qingqing's Interview
"Don't worry, Director Chen, I'll take care of this. By the way, the scenic area just opened recently, and the pre-sale tickets for the Mid-Autumn Festival are almost sold out. Why don't you take your family there sometime? I'll have someone arrange VIP access so you don't have to queue."
"Oh, I can't accept that, Mr. Lin, you're too kind. Alright, then I'll shamelessly take my family to visit. As for that school district housing landscaping project you mentioned last time, I've followed up on it for you, and the planning bureau should approve it in the next few days."
"Thank you, Director Chen. I'll have someone send you a few more boxes of the new packaging of Epimedium later; the quality is even better than last time."
After hanging up the phone, Lin Feng returned to the conference room, picked up He Rui's resume, glanced at it again, and then placed it on his right.
Li Juan caught a glimpse of this action out of the corner of her eye, understood what was going on, and silently ticked off He Rui's name.
At this moment, the scene in the interview waiting room was completely different. Twenty candidates sat in a row of plastic chairs, some looking down at their resumes, some quietly rehearsing their self-introductions, and some staring blankly at the Shuke Group promotional posters on the wall.
A tense and quiet atmosphere filled the air, and everyone's expression was different.
Some people were full of confidence with a knowing smile on their faces; some paced back and forth with their resumes in hand, muttering to themselves; some were caught off guard by the interviewer's questions and slumped in their chairs with blank stares, burying their faces in their hands for a long time without looking up.
He Rui sat in the second row by the window, wearing a dark blue business shirt with fresh creases on the cuffs. His hair was neatly combed back with hair gel, and he wore a mechanical watch that he had recently bought.
He was the kind of kid who had been taken care of all his life thanks to his uncle's connections, and he carried an unconscious sense of superiority in his bones.
Although he stumbled a few times during the interview, his uncle had already spoken to General Manager Lin, so he wasn't too nervous.
What I'm more concerned about now is the tall woman sitting diagonally in front of me.
Ma Qingqing sat in the first row by the aisle, her knees together and slightly turned to one side, her hands folded on her knees, her back straight.
He was looking down at his resume, his lips moving silently, probably reciting his self-introduction.
Sunlight streamed in obliquely from the window, falling on her profile. She sat there quietly, a stark contrast to the other candidates around her, who were either pacing nervously or muttering to themselves.
He Rui noticed her the moment she stepped into the waiting room. His gaze swept over her several times, from her pure and ethereal face to the high curves beneath her shirt, and then to her long, slender legs that even her black trousers couldn't conceal.
He was secretly amazed. The contrast between that face and that body was incredible. Although he had a girlfriend, she was far inferior to her.
It's said that girls who wear glasses have a striking contrast, let alone someone with such an innocent face and a stunning figure.
Thinking of this, he stood up, straightened his shirt collar, walked over and sat down next to her, turned his head to look at her, and put on what he thought was a very charming smile.
"Hello, my name is He Rui, and I'm also here for an interview for a business department assistant position. I saw your name when I signed in, Ma Qingqing, right? That's a nice name. Are you also from Hohai University? Are you free after the interview? Would you like to grab a bite to eat together?"
Ma Qingqing looked up at him, nodded politely, then lowered her head again to continue looking at the resume, her voice soft and indifferent: "Thank you, I still need to prepare for the interview."
She didn't answer his invitation to dinner, nor did she engage with his conversation. Instead, she shifted her knee slightly to the other side and leaned her body slightly in the opposite direction.
This deliberate distancing is an instinctive reaction she has developed over the years when faced with advances from strange men.
Do not provoke the other party, but also do not give them any room for fantasy.
He Rui didn't back down tactfully; instead, he found this indifferent attitude even more interesting.
He took out his phone, opened WeChat, scanned the QR code, and handed it to her: "Don't be so nervous. Relax during the interview. By the way, let's add each other on WeChat. We might be colleagues in the future. Getting to know each other beforehand will be good for looking out for each other at work."
"I'm sorry, it's not convenient for me to add strangers on WeChat. I wish you a good interview." This time she didn't even look up, her voice was even colder than before, her fingers on her knees tightened slightly, her nails digging lightly into her palms.
She told herself to just bear with it and it would pass; her interview would be soon.
He Rui's smile finally faded.
As I put my phone away, my lips twitched. When I stood up, I deliberately pushed the chair back hard, the chair legs scraping against the floor with a piercing noise.
Several other candidates looked up at him, but he ignored them, walked back to his original seat, and muttered to himself, "So what if she's pretty?"
The waiting room was quiet for a moment. A girl next to her turned her head to look at He Rui, then at Ma Qingqing, and turned back to whisper something to her companion.
Ma Qingqing didn't look up from beginning to end, her ears slightly red, but her back remained ramrod straight. She took a deep breath, mentally reviewed the self-introduction she had just memorized, and then continued to look down at the items on her resume that she already knew by heart, waiting for her name to be called.
The interview continued.
One candidate after another emerged from the meeting room; some smiled and walked briskly, while others looked dejected and pale.
After a bespectacled boy came out, he went straight to the corner, squatted down, crumpled up his resume, stuffed it into his bag, stared at the wall for a while, then stood up, dusted off his pants, and left.
A girl in a gray suit was all smiles. As soon as she left the meeting room, she took out her phone to call her family and whispered that she felt the interviewer was very satisfied with her performance and that she should pass.
It was finally Ma Qingqing's turn.
He took a deep breath, stood up, straightened his shirt hem, and then pushed open the conference room door and went inside.
As she walked in, Lu Fei's pen tapped lightly on the table. Lin Feng looked up and saw that she was indeed very tall, easily 1.8 meters, and even in flat shoes, she could look most men in the eye.
