The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 415 Don't Play with Fire
Lin Feng leaned back in his recliner, looking at the starry sky above him, and did not deny it.
"My dad told me. He said you're Qianqian's boyfriend, and that you've been together for quite a while."
"Mm." Lin Feng nodded.
Shen Wanyu paused for a few seconds, then looked up at the night sky: "I really envy Qianqian. She's been incredibly lucky since she was little. When she was little, I played with her, and when she grew up, she met you."
Her voice was very soft, as if she were talking to herself, "I really envy her for finding such a good boyfriend. I also want to find someone like you—capable, responsible, caring, and understanding. But it seems there are too few people like you in this world; at least I haven't met another one yet."
She paused, her fingers tracing gentle circles on the rattan surface of the recliner, her voice softening further: "I know this might not be the right thing to say, after all, you're Qianqian's boyfriend. But I just can't control my feelings. Every time I see you, I feel incredibly safe, like I can entrust everything to you."
"You'll find it." Lin Feng turned to look at her. "You seem much more cheerful now than when you were in Kyoto. The first time I saw you in the cafeteria, you had brightly colored braids and smoky makeup. I thought you were some street thug. Now you've dyed your hair back and taken off your makeup. You're a completely different person. You'll meet many people who appreciate you in the future."
"Thank you so much for today." Shen Wanyu turned to him, her eyelashes still glistening with water droplets. "Thank you for coming with me to buy a cat, helping me build the cat shelter, cleaning the fish pond, and even teaching me yoga. I know you're actually very busy, but you still took an afternoon to spend with me." She pursed her lips. "I know this is a little selfish, but I just want to be with you. Whenever I'm with you, I feel so relaxed."
"It's okay, I don't have any plans this afternoon anyway," Lin Feng said.
Shen Wanyu was silent for a moment, then suddenly asked, "What kind of girl do you think I am?" Her tone became serious, as if she were asking a very important question. "Do you hate me? I'm always clinging to you, making strange requests, asking you to massage my breasts, and even stealing kisses from you. Don't you find me annoying? Tell me the truth, don't worry about my feelings."
Lin Feng turned his head to look at her profile and remained silent for a while.
"You have a good personality," he said. "I won't dislike you just because you have a temper. Perhaps to me, it's just a manifestation of insecurity. You lost your mother when you were young and had a bad relationship with your father. Over the years, you've armored yourself like a hedgehog, seemingly not caring about anyone, but deep down you really crave someone who can understand you."
Shen Wanyu paused for a moment.
"You cling to me because you think I'm the one who understands you. You make those strange requests because you want to confirm that I won't refuse you. You steal kisses from me because you want to confirm that you're special to me."
Hearing these words, Shen Wanyu's lips parted slightly, and her eyes slowly reddened. She didn't cry out loud, but simply lay quietly on the recliner, looking at the starry sky above her, her shoulders trembling slightly.
No one had ever analyzed her like this before. Everyone thought she was rebellious, immature, and ungrateful. Only Raymond Lam saw through her and understood the vulnerability behind every seemingly willful act.
She took a deep breath, suddenly sat up from the lounge chair, straddled Lin Feng, placed her hands on either side of his chest, and looked down at him. Her hair fell down, carrying the coolness of the pool water, brushing against Lin Feng's collarbone.
"Lin Feng, I've made up my mind." Her voice trembled slightly, but she enunciated each word clearly. "I'm going to be with you no matter what. Even if it means being a mistress, I'm willing."
Lin Feng opened his mouth.
"I won't compete with Qianqian," Shen Wanyu continued before he could finish, her words growing faster as if she feared she'd lose the courage to speak if she stopped. "I know she's your girlfriend, but I won't ask you to break up with her, nor will I ask you to give me a title. I just want to be by your side. I've never felt this way about anyone before. You understand me, you care about me, you make me feel like I'm not alone. I don't want to miss out on you."
She paused, then added, "My dad said you're a womanizer, but anyway... I don't care, one more of me won't make a difference."
Lin Feng stared at Shen Wanyu in silence for a long time, seemingly convinced that Shen Ping had exposed his true colors. A gentle night breeze blew across the rooftop, rustling the branches and leaves of the osmanthus tree in the darkness.
"Get off me first." He reached out and gently patted her back.
Shen Wanyu shook her head: "Unless you promise me that you won't avoid me anymore, and that you won't distance yourself from me because of what I said, I don't need an answer from you right now. Just continue to be with me like you are today. I will try my best to become a better person, so that you won't regret having me by your side."
"I'm not trying to avoid you, nor will I distance myself from you," Lin Feng said. "I promise you, Wanyu! Come down first."
Shen Wanyu stared into his eyes for a long while, as if to confirm whether he was serious. Then she nodded, rolled off him, and lay back down on the rattan lounge chair next to her.
She rested her arms under her head, looked up at the starry sky, and suddenly turned her head to look at him, a few tear stains still clinging to the corners of her eyes.
"Actually, I was quite nervous just now, afraid that you would kick me into the pool."
She laughed first after she finished speaking.
……
Lin Feng lay on the recliner for a while longer.
The night breeze was getting cooler. He glanced at his phone; it was almost ten o'clock. If he didn't leave soon, given Shen Wanyu's behavior tonight, who knew what other trouble she might cause.
He sat up from the deck chair, picked up the beach shirt draped over the back of the chair, put it on, and said, "It's getting late, I should go back."
Shen Wanyu sat up, her hair already half-dry, a few strands clinging to her cheeks. She didn't try to stop him, only saying, "I'll see you downstairs," and then, barefoot on the anti-corrosion wooden floor, followed him downstairs.
The two of them went downstairs one after the other.
As Lin Feng walked into the entrance hall, he bent down to change his shoes. Just as he straightened up after putting them on, Shen Wanyu suddenly stepped over and slapped the wall next to his ear with her palm. With her other hand, she grabbed the collar of his shirt.
Another wall slam.
She only reached his chin, so she had to tilt her head back to do this, but she didn't look short at all.
"You're just leaving like this?" Her voice was low, tinged with reluctance. "I'll miss you a little!"
Lin Feng looked down at her; traces of pool water still lingered on her collarbone, her hair was loose over her shoulders, and she exuded a dampness from just finishing swimming.
This time he didn't back down.
Lin Feng reached out, pressing down on her wrist that was bracing against the wall with one hand, and wrapping his other arm around her waist, leaning forward. Their positions instantly reversed; Shen Wanyu's back was pressed against the wall, and Lin Feng's hands gripped her shoulders, pinning her to the wall.
Shen Wanyu's eyes widened suddenly.
Instinctively, I wanted to shrink back, but there was a wall behind me, and I had nowhere to retreat. My fingers unconsciously gripped the hem of my shorts.
"Wanyu," Lin Feng said, looking down at her exquisite face, "Don't play with fire anymore."
After saying that, he leaned down and kissed her lips.
