The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 421 Fine Branches Bear Abundant Fruit
He subconsciously recalled all the women around him. Ye Qinghan's figure was already good enough, but it wasn't to the point where the outline of her chest could be seen from behind.
It requires a large, well-shaped bust and a narrow back to show off.
Hearing Lin Feng enter, the other person turned around.
Lin Feng saw her clearly and stood there without saying a word. In the three seconds of silence, both of them simultaneously showed expressions of surprise.
Lin Feng's surprise was straightforward; it all started with that face.
She looked much better than in her ID photo on her resume. Her features were delicate, and her skin was so white it was almost translucent, with no obvious wrinkles. If he hadn't known her age, he might have guessed she was just over thirty.
She has a young woman's face, which is very well-maintained, and then there's her figure.
The judgment I made from behind was confirmed from the front: the shirt was a standard professional white shirt, and the third button from the bottom had a noticeable gap, followed by a high, prominent silhouette.
Judging by appearances, it's at least at E, and possibly even F.
But her waist was extremely thin, so thin that one might suspect she had undergone rib removal surgery. Such a waist-to-hip ratio and a disproportionately small bust-to-waist ratio appearing simultaneously in a 39-year-old woman is simply unreasonable.
Slender branches and abundant fruit (see accompanying image)
The idiom popped into his head, and he felt it couldn't be more fitting.
Ouyang Qian's surprise was for a very simple reason.
Before coming, she did her homework and researched the rise of Shuke Company. She learned that it mainly relied on government agencies, had good relationships with them, and had a short history but excellent performance. This was one of the main reasons she chose to come here.
I heard the boss was young, but I didn't expect him to be this young.
The man in front of her, who was over six feet tall, wearing a dark blue shirt with the sleeves casually rolled up to his forearms, looked to be a graduate student. He was completely different from the middle-aged businessman in a suit and tie with a thermos in his mind.
"Hello," Ouyang Qian spoke first, extending her hand. Her voice was deep and distinctive, characteristic of a mature woman. "I am Ouyang Qian. I apologize for bothering you, but I hope to have the opportunity to speak with you in person."
Lin Feng squeezed her hand; her fingers were long and slender, her skin smooth, and her grip was just right. He walked to the opposite side of the conference table, sat down, placed his resume on the table, and glanced at it again.
University of California, Berkeley, MBA. Four years as VP of Operations in San Francisco, three and a half years as VP of Operations after returning to China.
"Ms. Ouyang, with an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley, four years of experience as an VP of Operations in San Francisco, and then three and a half years as a director in East China after returning to China, you should have plenty of options with a headhunter if you have this resume. Why did you come to our company for an interview yourself?"
"Mr. Lin, there are two reasons." Ouyang Qian sat opposite him, her back ramrod straight. Her shirt was slightly stretched out, but her hands were clasped on the table, her gaze steady.
Clearly accustomed to this attention, or rather, having long since learned to counteract the focus on appearance with a professional aura, he said, "First, I've looked at Shuke's growth curve. Growing from scratch to its current scale is phenomenal in the logistics industry. This isn't something that can be achieved through connections or luck; there must be a very strong decision-maker behind it. My previous jobs involved optimizing and adding value within mature corporate systems, but Shuke is different. It's still in a high-growth phase, and joining at this stage allows me to do far more than in a large company. Second, the headhunter did offer several options, but after looking around, they either put me in charge of an already stagnant team or made me a firefighter. My strength isn't firefighting, but building and leading teams. Shuke's current size and growth rate perfectly suited a mature operating system to support the next phase of expansion. That's what I wanted to do here."
She paused, brushing her hair back from her forehead, and continued, "There's another crucial reason: the relationship between Shuke Company and government agencies. You see, in this society where personal connections matter, some projects can't be solved with money alone."
"Why did you leave your last job?" Lin Feng understood the implication in her words.
"It was a restructuring. After the company was acquired, a new management team was brought in, and my core team was broken up and divided into three different departments. I disagreed with this arrangement and voiced my concerns, so I wasn't allowed to attend any of the operational meetings for the next two months." Ouyang Qian's tone was calm. "I never cling to a position. When a position no longer allows me to utilize my professional skills, I will choose to leave. My resignation certificate is signed and stamped. If a background check is needed, I can provide the contact information of the HR director of my previous company. Another reason is that I frequently deal with government departments, which is also my weakest point."
Lin Feng nodded and continued, "The information says you have an eight-year-old daughter?"
"Yes. My child will be starting second grade here at Hohai University this September." Ouyang Qian's expression remained unchanged as she said this, only pausing slightly before naturally adding, "I've been divorced for five years and am now a single mother. We have a live-in nanny here at Hohai University to take care of my child, so it won't affect my work schedule or business trips."
Lin Feng flipped to the page of her resume with her past performance reports, which listed several core projects she had handled at her previous company: warehouse management system upgrade, regional distribution network reconstruction, and capacity allocation model optimization. Each item was accompanied by specific data indicators.
The percentage reduction in costs, the number of days of improved efficiency, and the increase in labor efficiency.
"Did you write that business analysis report about our company that you brought?"
"Yes. But it's just a preliminary judgment based on publicly available information; there wasn't time to conduct in-depth on-site research." Ouyang Qian took a folder from her bag and pushed it in front of him. "Inside are a few points I found that can be optimized, along with corresponding strategic frameworks. They may not all be correct, since I haven't yet gained a deep understanding of the company's actual operations, but the direction shouldn't be too far off."
Lin Feng opened the folder and read it very slowly.
He carefully read every page, occasionally stopping to ask about a number. Ouyang Qian's answers were crisp and concise; she didn't need to consult any documents, the data was already in her head. After asking a few questions, Lin Feng had a good grasp of the situation.
This woman's professional skills are not fabricated; she has indeed worked in operations for many years and has worked her way up from the front lines. She is not just a management talent who can only make PPTs.
He closed the folder and placed it back on the desktop. Then he looked up at her calmly and said, "Ms. Ouyang, I acknowledge your professional background and business capabilities. But before we formally discuss the terms of employment, I'd like to ask you one last question."
"Please ask."
"If you joined Shuke Company, what would you specifically do during your first month?"
Ouyang Qian didn't hesitate: "I won't make any decisions in the first week. I'll go through the entire operational process of all departments in the company, talk to the heads of each department, and talk to the frontline employees to understand the current business processes from beginning to end. In the second week, I'll produce a diagnostic report, listing the three most pressing issues in the current operational system, along with solutions and timelines for each issue. In the third week, I'll start coordinating with each department to build a new operational framework. In the fourth week, I'll release the first month's operational data comparison and let the results speak for themselves."
"That's fine." Lin Feng stood up and handed the resume and folder to Li Juan at the door. "Minister Li, please take Ms. Ouyang to complete the onboarding procedures. There will be a three-month probationary period, and the salary will be based on the director-level standard. You can discuss the specific figure with her."
After speaking, he turned to Ouyang Qian, extended his hand, and said, "Welcome to Shuke. The operations department is currently short-staffed. Your first task after you arrive is to build the team. I will help you recruit talent, and I hope your operations framework can be implemented before the end of the year."
"Thank you, Mr. Lin." Ouyang Qian stood up and shook his hand. "I won't let you down."
