She stayed at Ye Qinghan's house for more than an hour. For the last ten minutes or so, she held him tightly and refused to let go, burying her face in his chest like a clingy little girl.

Lin Feng leaned down and kissed her, saying that if they didn't leave soon they would miss their flight. Only then did she let go of his hand and stand in the entryway watching him leave, peeking out from the crack in the door until the elevator doors closed.

Lin Feng drove to the airport, got his boarding pass, went through security, and was already out of breath when he got into first class.

He reclined his seat, closed his eyes, and fell asleep before the plane even took off. When he opened his eyes again, he could already see the snow-capped mountains peeking out from behind the clouds, and the plane was descending.

It was already 4:30 pm when we landed in Lijiang.

September in Yunnan still carries the warmth of late summer, but a mountain breeze brings a refreshing coolness. He parked the pre-rented car in the airport parking lot, took the keys, put his suitcase in the trunk, and drove out of the city following the navigation.

Zhou Mei bought a small courtyard in a place called Shuhe Ancient Town in the suburbs of Lijiang. It is a bit far from the city center, but it is quiet.

On both sides of the road are vast fields of farmland and low hills, and the air is filled with the smell of grass and soil.

After driving for about forty minutes, the navigation indicated that we had arrived at our destination.

The car was parked in front of a row of two-story houses. Several osmanthus trees were planted along the roadside; the flowers hadn't bloomed yet, but the leaves were a bright green.

The wall is over two meters high, covered with ivy, densely covering most of it. The doorplate reads "108," and next to it is another building with a "109" sign, which is slightly off-center; that is Wang Yuqing's residence.

As soon as Lin Feng opened the car door, he heard a dog barking.

A golden-yellow mongrel darted out from the gate, circled his legs twice, and wagged its tail rapidly.

A little boy of seven or eight years old ran out following behind the dog, clutching a bouncy ball in his hand. He paused for a moment when he saw Lin Feng, then a smile spread across his face.

"Uncle Lin!"

It's Xiaoyu.

He had been much taller than the last time we met, and his skin was a bit tanned, but his energy and spirit were noticeably better. He was no longer the person who used to struggle to speak.

"Xiaoyu, you've grown taller." Lin Feng squatted down and patted his head. "Do you still recognize me?"

"I recognize it." Xiaoyu nodded vigorously, squatted down and hugged the dog. "This is Dahuang, my new dog. Uncle, would you like to pet it? It doesn't bite."

Lin Feng reached out and rubbed the dog's head twice, and Da Huang tilted its head and licked his fingers.

Footsteps came from inside the courtyard gate, and Wang Yuqing came out.

The person was wearing a very ordinary white cotton shirt, with the top two buttons fastened, dark blue cotton-linen trousers, and flat cloth shoes. Her hair was casually tied in a low ponytail, and her face was clean and without makeup.

Seeing Lin Feng standing at the courtyard gate, she smiled slightly, her tone neither warm nor cold, "You're here. Were you tired on the way?"

"It's alright, I slept the whole way." Lin Feng stood up and walked into the courtyard.

The yard wasn't big, but it was kept very tidy.

To the left, a small flower trellis was set up, with several bougainvillea plants that hadn't yet bloomed climbing on it. Under the trellis were two wicker chairs and a small square table. A row of mint plants grew in the corner, bringing a refreshing coolness when the wind blew.

The ground was paved with bluestone slabs, and green moss grew in the cracks.

Wang Yuqing walked to the small square table and sat down. She picked up the teapot on the table, poured a cup of tea, and placed it opposite her. "Sit down for a while and catch your breath."

Lin Feng sat down opposite her, picked up his teacup and took a sip.

It was local Lijiang green tea, with a delicate fragrance and a slightly bitter taste. He put down his teacup and glanced around the courtyard. "This place is nice, better than I expected. The environment is quiet, and the air is fresh."

"I looked at several places before deciding on this one." Wang Yuqing picked up her teacup and took a sip. "The area is safe, the neighbors are all permanent residents, and there aren't many outsiders around. It's just a few minutes' walk from town, so it's convenient for buying groceries and other necessities."

Xiao Yu ran a few laps around the yard with Da Huang, then plopped down on the steps, exhausted. Da Huang lay panting at his feet, its tongue lolling out. Wang Yuqing glanced at her son, her eyes filled with a calm contentment.

Lin Feng put down his teacup, about to say something, when Wang Yuqing stood up and refilled his cup. As she bent over, her collar sagged, revealing a large expanse of her V-neck, exposing two full mounds below her collarbone, dazzlingly white in the twilight.

"How about I let Xiaoyu go play next door for a while?" As she straightened up, she glanced up at Lin Feng, their eyes meeting. She smiled and said, "It's not like we haven't seen each other before."

Lin Feng awkwardly rubbed his nose, sat down on the stone bench, and took a sip of tea.

The tea was local Pu'er, with a mellow and full-bodied flavor. "I'll be here for about three days." He put down his teacup. "Where's Zhou Mei?"

"Her parents are here, accompanying her to the hospital for her prenatal checkup." Wang Yuqing sat down, picked up her teacup and took a sip. "You've come at a bad time; she just left this afternoon and should be back soon. Her parents are planning to stay for a while, saying they'll go back after she gives birth."

Lin Feng paused, his hand holding the teacup still. "Her parents...know about me?"

"I know a little." Wang Yuqing glanced at him. "Zhou Jie has told her mother about you and your relationship, but not in too much detail. But she can't hide it now that she's pregnant, and her mother will definitely ask. She knows that your relationship is definitely different from that of a normal couple. Although Zhou Jie is doing it willingly, in her parents' eyes, their daughter is pregnant without any status, which will definitely make them uncomfortable. When you meet her later, just know what to say."

Lin Feng placed the teacup on the stone table, slowly circling his fingertip along the rim. "You'll have to put in a good word for me later."

Wang Yuqing smiled but didn't reply.

He stood up and walked into the house. "Come in and take a look. There's an empty room upstairs; I've cleaned it up for you."

Lin Feng followed her into the house.

The first floor consists of a living room and kitchen, simply decorated but clean, with a potted green ivy on the windowsill. The wooden stairs creak a bit when you step on them. On the second floor, there is a bedroom on each side of the hallway.

Wang Yuqing pushed open one of the doors. The room was small but clean. The sheets were light gray, the blankets were neatly folded, and there was a lamp on the bedside table.

"You can stay here tonight," Wang Yuqing said, standing at the door.

Lin Feng stood behind her, the corridor lights shining from the side, outlining a soft silhouette on her. The cotton-linen dress she was wearing today was very thin, the thin belt at the waist accentuating her curves, and from the side, the difference between the curve of her chest and her waistline was particularly noticeable.

He took half a step forward and reached out to brace himself against the wall beside her.

Wang Yuqing pressed her back against the wall, looked up at him, the smile on her lips was still there, but there was something else in her eyes, and she didn't look away.

Lin Feng lowered his head and kissed her.

Wang Yuqing's lips were soft, carrying the lingering fragrance of Pu'er tea. She raised her hand and placed it on his shoulder, her fingertips tightening slightly, responding promptly. The two were very close, able to feel each other's body heat through the thin fabric of their clothes.

His hand slid down her side, stopping at her hip bone. His fingers gently tightened, and he could feel the curve of her waist through the thin fabric of her dress. Her breathing quickened slightly. She pulled her lips away from his, turned her head to catch her breath, and whispered, "Sister Zhou will be back soon..."

Lin Feng's hand didn't stop, sliding forward along her waistline until his fingertips touched her lower abdomen. Her body trembled slightly, and a very soft sound escaped her throat, but this time she didn't pull away. Instead, she pressed her body closer to his palm.

"Just for a moment," Lin Feng said.

Wang Yuqing didn't say anything more, but just rested her face on his shoulder and placed her hand on the back of his shirt.
