The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 480 Visiting Suzhou Lin Garden
Xu Momo rolled over and got up. The bath towel almost slipped off, but she grabbed it and ran to her suitcase to rummage through her clothes.
She took the items out of the box one by one and spread them on the bed: two dresses, a trench coat, two undershirts, a silk scarf, a small makeup bag, and a spare pair of flat shoes.
I spent five minutes picking out clothes, during which I held up three outfits in front of the mirror and asked him twice, "Which one looks better, this one or this one?" In the end, I chose one.
She wore a white shirt with a black blazer over it. The blazer was very fitted at the waist, and the shoulders were padded to create a right angle. The sleeves were rolled up to her forearms, revealing a section of her wrists.
She wore a black bodycon skirt, the hem of which was ten centimeters above her knees. The skirt was made of elastic fabric and clung tightly to her waist and hips. She wore flesh-colored stockings, the color of which blended well with her skin tone, with only a faint sheen visible when she bent her ankles.
She was wearing a pair of black high heels with long, thin heels.
Standing in front of the full-length mirror, I freed my hair from the towel, combed it smooth, tied it into a high ponytail, and then took out lipstick from my makeup bag to apply another layer.
She changed to a deeper, true red, which clashed with her black and white outfit, instantly brightening her entire look. She pursed her lips in front of the mirror to make sure the lipstick was applied evenly, then twirled around to check the hem of her skirt, nodding in satisfaction.
After changing, she walked up to Lin Feng and pulled him out of bed.
Lin Feng's shirt wasn't buttoned up properly, so she reached out and helped him button it from the bottom up, running her fingers over his chest and abdomen several times before finally straightening the collar and smoothing out the wrinkles on his shoulders.
"Honey, wear this." She took a dark gray shirt out of Lin Feng's closet. In her opinion, the shirts in Lin Feng's closet were all pretty much the same, but this one was more fitted.
Lin Feng let her do as she pleased. After putting on the shirt, she went around behind him and tugged at the fabric on his back, then went to the front and fastened the cuffs.
She picked up her small handbag from the bed; it was a black chain bag with a rose gold chain, and it hung on her shoulder, ending right at her hip. Then she took Lin Feng's arm, leaning closer to him, her shoulder pressed against his arm.
"Let's go, let's set off!"
The two went out, took the elevator downstairs, walked through the lobby, and headed towards the revolving door.
Lin Feng noticed that the receptionist glanced at them. She was a young girl with a ponytail. Her gaze lingered on Xu Momo for two seconds before shifting to Lin Feng. Then she quickly lowered her head and pretended to organize the registration forms.
Yesterday evening she saw that the woman next to Raymond Lam was a different one, and this afternoon she saw a different one. This kind of explosive information was enough for her to have a topic worth gossiping about with her colleagues.
The van from yesterday was already waiting at the hotel entrance.
The driver opened the car door for them with an umbrella. The rain outside was much lighter than yesterday, almost negligible, but the air was still very humid, the sky was gloomy, and the clouds were very low.
The car drove for about twenty minutes and arrived at the entrance of the Suzhou gardens. Lin Feng bought tickets, and the two of them went inside.
Today was both a weekday and a rainy day, so there weren't many visitors in the park. Occasionally, you could see two or three tourists with umbrellas walking by under the corridor.
The rainwater wetted the bluestone slabs, giving them a glossy sheen. When you stepped on them, you could hear a slight sticking sound between your shoes and the slabs.
Raindrops hung from the eaves, forming a line, and fell one by one onto the stone edge below with a crisp sound.
The plants in the garden were a bright green after being washed by the rain, and the moss on the artificial hill had absorbed enough water, turning from grayish-green to dark green.
The koi in the pond swam near the surface, and occasionally one or two would float to the surface and blow a bubble, creating ripples on the water.
The pavilions and towers in the distance were blurred in the drizzle, and the gray tiles and white walls were covered with a layer of moisture from the damp air. The whole garden looked like a fine brush painting that had been washed by water.
Xu Momo went in and it started less than five minutes later.
He shoved the umbrella in his hand to Lin Feng, then ran from the front of the artificial hill to the pavilion, striking a pose as if looking back. "Let's take a picture here first!" Lin Feng raised his phone, and as the viewfinder appeared on the screen, his own face appeared in the small window in the lower right corner.
It was the dual-folding screen phone he had just bought before this business trip. When the rear camera took a picture of someone, the person being photographed could see their own image on the small screen. Xu Momo adjusted the angle of the small screen twice, tilting her chin slightly to the left, resting her right hand on the pillar of the pavilion, her fingers hanging naturally.
"Yes, this is the angle, take the picture!"
Lin Feng pressed the shutter.
She ran back to look at the photos, nodded in satisfaction, and then found the next shooting location: a stone arch bridge with lotus reliefs carved on the railings. Standing in the middle of the bridge, holding an umbrella in one hand and the railing in the other, she stood sideways, her bodycon skirt accentuating her waist and hip curves from the side.
After taking about a dozen photos, Lin Feng's phone album was already filled with pictures. After each photo, she would run back to check the effect. If she didn't like it, she would delete it and retake it. If she liked it, she would give him a kiss on the cheek as a reward.
The passion for taking photos seems endless. From the pavilion to the rockery, from the rockery to the waterside pavilion, from the waterside pavilion to the bamboo path, at least three photos from different angles are taken at each place.
When we arrived at a covered walkway, the shadows under the eaves dimmed the light, and the rain outside became a natural softbox.
Xu Momo leaned against a pillar, one foot tiptoeing on the base of the pillar, her black pencil skirt creating shallow creases on the side of her thigh. She put on her sunglasses, slightly raised her chin, and adjusted her expression while looking at the small screen of Lin Feng's phone. Her lips were slightly parted, revealing a hint of her teeth, and her eyes were deliberately unfocused.
After taking the photo, Raymond Lam said, "This one is good."
Xu Momo walked over and glanced at him, satisfied with her own appearance. Then she pushed her sunglasses up to her head, stood on tiptoe, and kissed him on the lips. Wearing high heels today, she wasn't much shorter than Lin Feng; she could reach him with just a little tiptoeing.
"Where else haven't I taken pictures?" She flipped through her phone's photo album, which already contained dozens of photos taken by Raymond Lam.
"Walk further in, and there are several more gardens."
They continued along the covered walkway, passed through a moon gate, and entered another garden.
This garden is larger than the previous one, with a lotus pond in the center. The lotus flowers have long since faded this season, leaving only the leaves supporting the water's surface. Raindrops patter on the leaves, forming droplets that roll around in the center. A row of weeping willows grows along the pond's edge, their branches drooping even lower after the rain, water droplets clinging to the tips of their leaves.
Xu Momo walked around the garden for two hours, taking photos in at least seven or eight different locations. She was as energetic as a perpetual motion machine, walking steadily on the slippery stone path in her high heels. She only wobbled a little near the artificial hill because the moss was too slippery. Lin Feng reached out and supported her waist, and she leaned into his arms, then stood up straight with a grin.
Around 6 p.m., the sky began to darken, and the lights in the garden gradually came on, their warm yellow glow reflecting on the water and blending with the remaining daylight.
After they left the park, Lin Feng hailed a car and took Xu Momo to a high-end restaurant near Jinji Lake.
The restaurant was dimly lit, with a spotlight hanging above each table, concentrating the light on the tabletops and casting ambiguous shadows over the areas outside the tables.
