The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 50 The Gift Was Quite Valuable
Lin Feng carried the paper bag to the bottom of the boys' dormitory building.
He didn't register for accommodation, but he became close friends with a dormitory on the third floor. One of the roommates, named Song Yang, was also a local and would occasionally go home to stay. When the bed was empty, Lin Feng would go there to take a nap.
The dormitory supervisor glanced up at him, then looked down at his newspaper again.
When I pushed the door open, Song Yang was lying on the bed playing games. Hearing the noise, he turned over.
"Hey! The madman's here."
Her gaze fell on the paper bag in his hand, her eyes widened instantly, and she sat up in bed, tossing her phone onto the pillow. "Holy crap, you've struck it rich?"
Lin Feng placed the paper bag on the empty bed. "What's wrong?"
"You don't know this brand?" Song Yang jumped off the bed, barefoot on the floor, and reached into the paper bag to pull out the misty blue short-sleeved shirt. He showed the tag on the collar to Lin Feng. "I tried one on with my mom last month when we were shopping. It cost 890 yuan, no discount. I put it back as soon as I tried it on, and I didn't even dare let the sales assistant take off the tag." He unfolded the shirt and held it up against himself, then pulled out another light gray one to look at, and looked up at Lin Feng.
Lin Feng took the short-sleeved shirt back from Song Yang. "It was a gift from someone."
"Someone else?" Song Yang's eyebrows almost reached his hairline. "Who would send you such expensive clothes?"
Lin Feng did not respond.
He took off his T-shirt and put on the misty blue short-sleeved shirt. The moment the fabric touched his skin, he knew why it was priced that way—it was so soft and smooth, like water flowing over his skin.
The shoulder line falls right at the acromion, the bust is neither too tight nor too loose, and the hemline reaches the hip bone perfectly.
"Does it fit?" Song Yang leaned against the bed railing.
"Um."
Lin Feng took out his phone, snapped a photo, and sent it to Shen Qianqian. The photo only showed her upper body; a misty blue short-sleeved shirt clung to her body, clearly outlining her shoulders and waist. He typed and sent it: "The clothes are too expensive."
About ten seconds later, Shen Qianqian replied.
"It fits perfectly; whether it's expensive or not doesn't matter!"
Lin Feng stared at the line of text on the screen, his thumb hovering over the keyboard for a moment.
She typed a few more words—"Thanks," and sent it. Shen Qianqian replied with a white cat nodding emoji.
I put my phone next to my pillow and lay down on the empty bed wearing that misty blue short-sleeved shirt.
The fabric felt cool against my skin. I turned over so I was facing the wall and closed my eyes.
Song Yang lay back down on the bed and started playing games again, the game sound effects emanating from his phone. Lin Feng slept for a short while, and when he woke up, the light filtering through the curtains had turned into the bright, white light of the afternoon.
Afternoon classes are in Teaching Building No. 2.
When Lin Feng walked into the classroom with his textbook, there were already quite a few people sitting inside. He habitually walked to the back, but paused when his gaze swept over the row by the window.
Shen Qianqian sat in the fourth row by the window, with a textbook open in front of her and drawing something on it with a pen in her hand. There was no space next to her.
Lin Feng sat down in the same row, a few seats away. He put his textbook on the table and opened it. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Shen Qianqian's hair draped over her shoulders, her head down as she read, her eyelashes drooping.
My phone vibrated; it was a message from Shen Qianqian: "You look great in that dress."
He glanced at her sideways. Shen Qianqian was still looking down at her book, but the corners of her mouth were curved into a small, almost invisible smile, and the hand holding the pen was drawing circles on the edge of the textbook.
"Are you free Wednesday afternoon?" her message popped up again. "My mom would like to invite you to dinner as a thank you for helping me last time."
Lin Feng's finger paused on the screen for a moment. "No need for that."
"My mom has already booked a restaurant. She insists on seeing you, and I can't stop her." This was followed by a sighing cat emoji.
"I don't have classes on Wednesday afternoon, is that okay with you?"
"Then it's settled." This was followed by a cat clenching its fist emoji.
When the bell rang, everyone was about to leave. The front door of the classroom was pushed open, and Zhou Mei walked in.
Underneath the black suit jacket was a white silk shirt, with one button undone at the collar, revealing a small section of her collarbone.
The shirt was tucked into a black pencil skirt, which was a little shorter than usual, with the hem just past mid-thigh.
Legs encased in black stockings were encased in a pair of black pointed high heels. The stockings were very thin, almost see-through, and the front of her thighs gleamed faintly under the light.
Her hair was tied in a low ponytail, and she wore black-rimmed glasses. Her expression was the same cold and indifferent look she had during class.
"Sit down, everyone." She walked to the front of the podium and placed her hands on the edge of the podium.
The students who were leaving came back. Zhou Mei's gaze swept across the classroom.
"It's almost the end of the semester, and some people are still skipping classes. Who didn't go to PE class yesterday afternoon?" The classroom fell silent; some people lowered their heads, while others exchanged glances.
Lin Feng's fingers tightened slightly at the edge of the textbook. He had indeed skipped PE class yesterday afternoon to attend He Qianwen's class.
The two boys sitting in front hesitated before standing up. Zhou Mei looked at them but didn't say anything.
Then her gaze shifted towards Lin Feng. Those eyes, behind the black-rimmed glasses, were fixed on his face.
Lin Feng stood up.
Zhou Mei's gaze lingered on him for a second. That look was different from when she looked at the other two boys, but it only lasted a moment before she looked away.
"You three, go run three laps around the track. Come to my office when you're done." After saying that, she turned and walked towards the door with her lesson plan in hand. The sound of her high heels on the floor was crisp and cold.
Shen Qianqian turned her head to look at Lin Feng, her lips moved as if she wanted to say something.
But Lin Feng had already closed his textbook and stood up.
On the playground, Lin Feng and two other boys ran side by side. By the third lap, the other two boys were already panting heavily, but Lin Feng's breathing was still relatively steady. After finishing the run, the three of them walked towards the office building.
Zhou Mei's office is on the third floor.
The other two boys went in first, and when they came out, one had his head down and the other had a bitter look on his face. Lin Feng was the last to push open the door and go in.
Zhou Mei was the only one in the office, sitting behind her desk with a document spread out in front of her.
She didn't look up.
"Close the door."
Lin Feng closed the door behind him. The lock clicked shut, leaving only the two of them in the office.
Zhou Mei still didn't look up, her pen writing something on the document.
"Why did you skip class?" The voice was flat.
Lin Feng stood in front of the desk, his hands hanging at his sides. His gaze fell on the pen holder on the edge of the desk, and he remained silent.
Zhou Mei put down her pen.
He looked up at him, his eyes behind his black-rimmed glasses displaying an expression Lin Feng had never seen before.
"I'm asking you a question. What did you do yesterday afternoon?"
Lin Feng clenched his fist along the seam of his trousers.
The office air conditioner vents hummed. Zhou Mei leaned back in her chair, arms crossed. "If you don't want to talk, then stand here. You can leave when you tell me."
Lin Feng looked at the bridge of her nose. After about ten seconds, he spoke. "Teacher Zhou, could you please keep this a secret?"
