Lin Feng glanced at the numbers on the screen, then turned his phone to show Ouyang Qian. She was bending down to get her luggage, glanced at the screen, and smiled slightly. "Luckily, we entered the market a couple of days ago. The timing was perfect. If we had waited another day, the market would have been completely different."

Lin Feng put his phone back in his pocket. "Your friend's information comes out really fast."

"He's been in this business for over a decade, and changes in the international situation greatly affect his operations. He has a wider range of information sources than the average person." Ouyang Qian lifted the handle of her suitcase, turned, and walked towards the cabin door. "We'll wait until the market stabilizes before making any decisions. It's rising sharply now, and there will be fluctuations later. I've already told him that we'll close our positions in batches when we reach the expected level, and we absolutely cannot be greedy."

"I'll listen to you," Lin Feng said, following behind her.

When they reached the arrival hall, Sofia walked beside Lin Feng, pushing her own small suitcase. Since her paperwork was complete, she was only asked a few simple questions upon arrival, had her photo taken, and her fingerprints scanned; she was quickly cleared.

She walked out with lighter steps, glanced around, and then quickly looked back at Lin Feng.

"Is this Kyoto?" she asked softly.

"Yes. We'll stay here tonight and fly to Hehai tomorrow."

"Is Hohai your city?"

"It's the city where my company is located," Lin Feng said.

Sophia nodded and didn't ask any more questions. She simply leaned closer to him, as if that would allow her to be a little closer to him.

Ouyang Qian walked a few steps ahead, took out her phone and made a call to confirm that the car picking her up was already waiting in the parking lot.

As the three walked out through the passage, Sophia's tall figure and golden-brown hair stood out in the crowd. Several passersby lingered on her for a moment, then moved their gaze to Lin Feng next to her, and then looked away.

A middle-aged man walked along, glancing back repeatedly, and nearly bumped into a pillar. Sophia, oblivious, pushed her suitcase with one hand while unconsciously tugging at Lin Feng's sleeve with the other.

Ouyang Qian hung up the phone, glanced back at them, and said, "The car's here, let's go. We'll stay in Kyoto tonight and fly to Hohai early tomorrow morning."

The airport shuttle was a black minivan, parked in a temporary parking space on the side of the road in the waiting area. The driver helped them put their luggage into the trunk.

Sophia got into the car first and sat in the back window seat, with Lin Feng sitting next to her. Ouyang Qian got into the passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and gave the driver an address.

As the car drove out of the airport area and merged into the traffic, the sky outside the window was darkening, and the streetlights of Kyoto were gradually turning on. Lin Feng leaned back in his seat and felt Sophia turn her head to look at him, her arm naturally resting on his, the movement light and firm.

Watching the street scene outside the window recede at a steady pace, Ouyang Qian in the front row leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes, preparing to rest for a while before arriving.

The carriage was quiet. Sofia rested her face on his shoulder and whispered, "Will my friends in your city welcome me?"

Lin Feng turned his head, his lips brushing against her forehead. "Don't worry. I'm here!"

……

The flight was scheduled for 10 a.m. the next day, and it landed at Hohai Airport around 1 p.m. The sun was blazing, making the asphalt on the airport runway shine with an oily sheen.

The three of them came out of the arrival gate. Ouyang Qian was pushing her large suitcase. Today she was wearing a cream-colored silk shirt, the hem of which was tucked into high-waisted smoky gray trousers.

The top button of her shirt was undone, revealing a small section of her collarbone and a patch of fair skin. A gust of wind blew in from outside the entrance, causing the front of her shirt to cling tightly to her body.

Several men who came out of the arrival gate walked and looked back as they went. One of them, who was pushing a luggage cart, almost bumped into a welcoming pillar.

She stopped at the edge of the parking lot, turned around to look at Lin Feng, and pulled down the handle of her suitcase. "Mr. Lin, I'll head back now. I'll rest at home tomorrow and report to the company the day after tomorrow." She took a step forward, opened her arms, and hugged him.

The movements were natural; there was no deliberate lingering, but neither was there a rush to loosen up.

Lin Feng gently patted her back, and then she took a half step back.

Just as she was about to turn around, Lin Feng leaned down and touched her lips quickly, as if it were a spur-of-the-moment thing. Ouyang Qian didn't flinch or respond; she simply looked up at him, a faint smile curving her lips.

"What's this? A farewell kiss?" Her tone carried a lazy smile.

"What else?" Lin Feng said.

"Okay, I'll take it." Ouyang Qian turned her suitcase around and walked away in her high heels. The heels clicked on the asphalt, and her waist swayed gently with each step.

After walking a dozen steps, she didn't turn around, but simply raised one hand and waved it behind her.

Wang Yue's car arrived ten minutes later.

Park the car in the temporary drop-off area and get out of the driver's seat.

Today I wore a light gray fitted T-shirt, a dark skirt that reached my calves, and white flat shoes. My hair was down, with slightly curled ends.

The T-shirt was stretched taut by her figure, revealing a high and firm curve at the chest, and the skirt's hemline was pushed up by her hips, creating two smooth arcs. She walked around the front of the car, her gaze lingering on Sophia for a moment before looking at Lin Feng, flashing a bright white smile.

"Is this the person you were talking about on the phone?" She stated it in a declarative tone, but her voice rose at the end, carrying a hint of teasing.

"Sofia, she's Ukrainian," Lin Feng said. "She'll be living at Hohai University for a while."

Wang Yue waved to Sofia and said in English, "Hello, I'm Wang Yue, your boss's employee, driver, errand runner, and temporary nanny." She laughed at the end of her sentence. Sofia didn't quite understand the rest, but seeing the other woman laughing made her relax a bit.

The three people got into the car.

Lin Feng put Sophia's suitcase in the trunk and went around to the passenger seat. Wang Yue glanced at Sophia in the back seat through the rearview mirror and said to Lin Feng in a low voice in Chinese, "Mr. Lin, are you going on a business trip or a beauty pageant? This girl looks like she's been torn off a magazine cover. How are the other young women in the company supposed to survive if you bring one back like this?"

"Stop joking with me." Lin Feng fastened his seatbelt.

"I'm serious." Wang Yue's eyes crinkled with laughter. "Her figure is even more exaggerated than those European and American supermodels. Are you sure she's not from a modeling agency?"

"It's a long story, I'll tell you more over dinner tonight," Lin Feng said.
