The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 60: Ambiguous Chat Logs!
The two of them packed their things.
Shen Qianqian stuffed the potato chips and chocolate chip cookies back into the canvas bag, while Lin Feng threw the yogurt bottle into the trash can.
When I pushed open the door to the study room, the corridor was quiet, and most of the classroom lights were already off.
When she reached the second-floor stairwell, Shen Qianqian slowed her pace. She had walked this stairwell many times; the light had been broken for almost a week, and no one had fixed it.
The stairwell was pitch black, with only a little light coming from the first and third floors. His hands were slightly clenched at his sides.
"This hallway is so dark!"
As soon as Shen Qianqian finished speaking, a hand suddenly grabbed her hand.
His palm was warm, enveloping her entire hand. Shen Qianqian's fingers twitched slightly in his palm, then remained still.
Lin Feng held her hand; it was soft and comfortable.
The two people walked from the second floor to the first floor.
The only sounds in the hallway were footsteps and breathing. When they reached the lobby on the first floor, the lights came back on, but Lin Feng's hand remained firmly in his grasp.
Shen Qianqian did not pull it back.
Below the girls' dormitory, the streetlights cast their light through the leaves of the sycamore trees, illuminating the ground. Two couples stood at the entrance; one was talking quietly, while the other was embracing.
Shen Qianqian slowly withdrew her hand from Lin Feng's palm, her fingertips brushing against the back of his hand.
"Well... see you the day after tomorrow."
"Okay! Go to sleep early."
Shen Qianqian turned and walked towards the building entrance. Her long legs, visible beneath her denim shorts, gleamed white in the streetlights.
When she reached the building entrance, she glanced back at him, then pushed the door open and went inside.
When Shen Qianqian pushed open the dormitory door, the girl with the bun was sitting on the bed applying a face mask. When she saw Shen Qianqian come in, the two eyes on the face mask sheet widened immediately.
Why is your face so red?
Shen Qianqian placed the canvas bag on the table. "It's a bit hot outside."
"Hot?" The woman with the bun peeled the face mask off her face. "The air conditioning's on, why are you hot?" She leaned halfway out of bed. "Was it with that guy? The one who brought you clothes downstairs last time?"
Shen Qianqian didn't say anything, but took the toothbrush and towel out of the cabinet.
"Silence means consent." The woman with the bun lay back down. "Shen Qianqian, you're finished. You said last time that you wouldn't date in college."
"I didn't talk about it."
"Why are you blushing so much if we haven't talked about it?"
Shen Qianqian went into the bathroom and closed the door.
I turned on the tap and splashed cold water on my face.
When I looked up, my cheeks were still red in the mirror, from my cheekbones all the way to my ears.
I reached out and touched my ears; they were indeed a little hot!
When Raymond Lam arrived home, the living room light was still on.
His mother was sitting on the sofa watching TV when she heard the door open and turned around. "Have you eaten?"
"I've eaten, Mom!" He changed his shoes and went inside.
"There's watermelon in the fridge, go cut it yourself."
Lin Feng grunted in agreement, went into the kitchen, took out half a watermelon from the refrigerator, cut it in half, wrapped one half in plastic wrap and put it back, and cut the other half into crescent shapes and arranged them on a plate before taking it to the living room.
After finishing the watermelon, I took the plate back to the kitchen to wash it and went into the bedroom.
Just as I lay down, my phone vibrated. It was a message from Shen Qianqian, with only two words—"Have you arrived yet?" followed by a cat emoji covering itself with a blanket.
I replied with "Just arrived" and put my phone on the bedside table.
Lin Feng lay on the bed, the light from his phone screen illuminating his face. A message popped up next to Shen Qianqian's profile picture in the chat: "How's my outfit today?"
He thought for a moment, then typed back: "It's pretty good."
"Just four words?" followed by a cat emoji with its hands on its hips.
"That white short-sleeved shirt suits you very well."
Shen Qianqian's screen showed "typing" for a long time before a message popped up: "I have other photos, do you want to see them?"
Raymond Lam replied with an "Okay". A little while later, Shen Qianqian sent over a photo.
She was wearing a light blue sundress and standing in front of a mirror when the photo was taken. The skirt was very short, just reaching her upper thighs, and her two long, white legs extended out from under the skirt.
Lin Feng's finger paused on the screen for a moment.
The Shen Qianqian in the photo is completely different from how she usually looks in the classroom. In the classroom, she always wears a neat shirt and pleated skirt, with the top button of her collar fastened.
But in this photo, her lips are slightly parted, and her eyes have a hint of languor.
She then posted several more pictures.
One photo shows her standing on a rooftop wearing a JK uniform, the wind blowing up the hem of her pleated skirt slightly, revealing a small patch of fair skin on the inside of her thigh.
One photo shows her wearing a sports vest and tight shorts in front of a mirror at the gym, with her abs faintly visible on her flat stomach.
Another photo is a selfie of her lying on the bed wearing a black lace slip dress. The neckline is so low that you can almost see the edge of her bra, and the skin below her collarbone glows with a delicate sheen in the warm yellow bedside lamplight.
"I never knew you had such a great figure." Lin Feng typed this message and sent it.
Shen Qianqian replied with a shy cat facepalm emoji.
"So, what do you think is my best feature?"
Lin Feng thought for a moment. "Legs, I guess."
The chat window was silent for about two minutes. Then Shen Qianqian started sending photos.
One photo after another, all of them are pictures of legs.
She was wearing a pleated skirt and standing in front of a mirror. The photos were taken from the side. The proportions of her thighs and calves were so perfect that they looked like they had been measured with a ruler. Her ankles were so thin that you could see the shape of her knuckles.
The photo, taken from above, shows the woman sitting on the edge of the bed in denim shorts; her pale legs appear almost glowing against the dark sheets.
There were also photos taken from behind of white lace-trimmed socks and canvas shoes, showing the smooth and soft curves of her calves.
Lin Feng clicked through each photo one by one. "Do you usually train your legs specifically?"
"I didn't train specifically. It's natural. My mom's legs are like that too." This was followed by a smug cat emoji.
"Good genetics."
Shen Qianqian said with a hint of pride, and for some reason she was having a great time chatting with Lin Feng. Then she sent another picture.
It was a full-body photo of her lying on the bed wearing the same black lace slip dress she had just worn. The hem of the dress was lifted up to mid-thigh, one leg was slightly bent, and the skin on the inside of her thigh was smooth and delicate in the warm light.
"This one is not allowed to be saved."
"It's already saved."
"Delete it!"
"I won't delete it."
Shen Qianqian sent a series of cat-hitting emojis. Lin Feng smiled.
The two chatted back and forth, from legs to fitness, from fitness to cafeteria food, and from cafeteria food to pets they had when they were kids.
Shen Qianqian said that she had a pet hamster when she was in elementary school. It died after two years, and she cried all night.
Lin Feng said that when he was a child, he picked up a stray cat and secretly kept it on the balcony. Later, his mother found out and gave it to the old man downstairs.
Shen Qianqian said, "Why don't you persevere?" Lin Feng replied, "Back then, my family was poor. It was hard enough to support ourselves, let alone a cat."
After a moment of silence, Shen Qianqian sent a message: "We'll raise one ourselves from now on."
Lin Feng looked at the line of text on the screen.
She herself probably didn't realize what those words meant.
A few seconds later she posted another message: "I mean... once we each have our own houses, we can each keep one."
A long string of panicked cat emojis followed.
Raymond Lam replied with a simple "Okay".
Shen Qianqian sent another emoji of a cat covered by a blanket. "Oh dear! It's already past two o'clock. Do you have class tomorrow?"
"Yes, I have some this morning. What about you?"
"Yes, I do too. Well... goodnight?"
"Good night."
Lin Feng put his phone on the bedside table.
After the screen went dark, only a single ray of light shone through the gap in the curtains in the bedroom.
With my eyes closed, I pictured Shen Qianqian lying on the bed in a black lace nightgown, the hem of her dress lifted to mid-thigh, her pale legs glowing in the warm light.
This little girl is interesting!
