The Secret of the Yoga Club: The Women's Identity is Not Simple
Chapter 84: Finding an Easy Job for Dad
Then she smiled and said, "Just focus on your studies, don't worry about these things for me." She stood up from the mat, put her water bottle into her bag, and said, "I'm off, Ms. Lin."
She paused as she reached the door. "Once this is all done, I'll remember the meal you promised me."
The door closed gently behind her.
Lin Feng stood there, wanting to ask Sister He if she could help find a job for his father, but he kept the question to himself.
Luo Ruoxi treated everyone to lunch at the Cantonese restaurant downstairs. They ordered shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, steamed spare ribs, and char siu rice noodle rolls, which filled half the table.
As she picked up the shrimp dumplings, she leaned forward slightly. The deep red V-neck accentuated her long neck, and the neckline slipped down a little. She casually gathered it up with her hand.
Lin Feng fixed his gaze on the shrimp dumplings in front of him.
"Did He Qianwen tell you about the company?" Luo Ruoxi picked up a shrimp dumpling and put it in her mouth. "She's a long-time member of the club. Her husband was one of the earliest investors here. Don't worry, with her skills, those people on the board can't beat her."
After saying that, she pointed to Lin Feng's chest with her chopsticks. "As for you. Don't be scared by Yang Ru's class this afternoon. I don't know what's wrong with her lately, but every time she comes out of class, she looks exceptionally relaxed and much more at ease. I've never seen her like this before when Sister Wang took her class." Lin Feng picked up his teacup and took a sip.
I rested for a while at noon and waited until 1:30 pm.
Yang Ru pushed open the door to Yoga Room No. 3 on time.
Her dark green yoga outfit accentuated her slender and graceful figure, and her steps were crisp and steady. She started her warm-up with the cat-cow pose, and her movements were as precise and accurate as ever, with a much greater control over her pelvic tilt than when she first arrived.
Next up is glute-specific training.
Warrior II, Side Angle Pose, Triangle Pose, Bridge Pose – each pose was executed beautifully, with a clearer sense of engagement in the core and gluteal muscles.
The dark green yoga pants accentuated her smooth muscle lines as she transitioned between poses, showing that she put in a lot of effort with each movement.
During the break, Yang Ru sat on a mat drinking water. Lin Feng handed her a towel, his voice devoid of any extra emotion.
"Sister Yang, I need your help with something. My dad is fifty this year. He used to work on construction sites, but now that the project is finished, he can't find another job. He's not very educated, but he's a very reliable person. Do you have any suitable positions available?"
Yang Ru put down the water bottle and looked at him.
Then he picked up his phone, stood up, walked to the French windows, and made a call. He spoke very softly, and I could only hear the words "fifty years old," "hardworking," and "make arrangements."
He hung up the phone and turned around.
"Our company has a parking lot and we need someone to watch the cars. It's a five-insurance-and-one-housing-fund job, with a monthly salary of four thousand yuan, nine hours a day. If your dad is interested, he can go and start the onboarding process tomorrow." She put her phone back in her bag. "When you get there, look for Lao Zhao—he's the parking lot manager; I've already spoken to him."
Lin Feng stood up. "Sister Yang, thank you."
Yang Ru waved her hand.
The second half of the class continued with glute strength training, including locust pose, bow pose, and camel pose. When doing the bow pose, Lin Feng stood beside her and calibrated the point of force application.
"Hold on, push your hips up a little more. Good."
Finally, resistance training was conducted. Yang Ru lay face down on a mat covered with a bath towel and followed the instructions to complete each set of back kick resistance exercises, gritting her teeth and exerting force throughout. In the latter half of the training, her breathing gradually became heavier, beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and her fingers gripped the edge of the bath towel tightly to persevere.
When the training ended, she lay on the mat for a while before turning over and sitting up. Her cheeks were flushed from the exercise, and her expression was one of complete relaxation.
When Raymond Lam came out of Yoga Room No. 3, Luo Ruoxi at the front desk was looking down at the reservation form.
She wore a black blouse with lace trim today, the neckline slightly open, revealing her collarbone in a soft and distinct way under the light.
I looked up at him.
"Yang Ru's face was flushed when she came out. What exactly did you train her with?"
Lin Feng pulled his backpack strap up a bit. "Glute-specific. She likes targeted strength training."
Luo Ruoxi's smile was meaningful, but she didn't press the matter. She simply turned to the next page of the appointment form. "I don't have any classes scheduled for tomorrow. I'll let you know if anything comes up." Lin Feng thanked Sister Wei—then realized he had called her by the wrong name.
Luo Ruoxi smiled, "Xiao Wei will continue to take leave tomorrow. I'll still be the one sitting at the counter." Lin Feng scratched the back of his head and walked towards the elevator.
When I got home, Lin Jianguo was sitting on the sofa. On the coffee table was a well-worn newspaper, and in the ashtray next to it were a few cigarette butts.
The TV was on, the volume was turned down low, and a job recruitment program was playing on the screen.
Zhang Xiulan was picking vegetables in the kitchen, with the sound of running water.
Lin Feng changed into slippers in the entryway and sat down at the coffee table. "Dad, I found you a job."
Lin Jianguo lowered his hand from the sofa armrest and placed it on his knee, his fingers slightly clenched. "What kind of work?"
"Looking for parking space. A friend of mine needs someone for the parking lot next to her workplace. They offer five social insurances and one housing fund, 4,000 yuan a month, nine hours a day. I'm going to start the onboarding process tomorrow."
Lin Jianguo was stunned for two seconds.
Zhang Xiulan came out of the kitchen, clutching a bunch of unfinished celery stalks in her hand. Her hand, which had been chopping the celery, froze in mid-air. "Really? What friend?"
"Someone I know. They have connections over there, and I've already made arrangements. Tomorrow, go directly to the parking lot manager, whose surname is Zhao."
Lin Jianguo stood up from the sofa.
