half a month later.

In the recording studio of Qilin Entertainment, Jiang Yichen took off his monitoring headphones and let out a long sigh of relief.

On the mixing console screen, densely packed audio tracks are neatly arranged.

The master tapes for the four songs, "Dong Feng Po," "Qing Hua Ci," "Fa Ru Xue," and "Qian Li Zhi Wai," have all been finalized and mixed.

The arrangement framework for the remaining songs has been basically finalized, and we're just waiting for him to return from Chongqing to do the final touches.

The new album is progressing much faster than expected.

Su Yao pushed open the door and walked in, holding a printed itinerary in her hand.

"Mr. Jiang, the plane tickets to Chongqing are booked. The flight is at 7:00 AM tomorrow."

"Director Chen Hao sent a message saying that the crew has been filming in Chongqing for almost two weeks, and the main storyline is progressing smoothly."

Jiang Yichen nodded, folded the itinerary twice, and stuffed it into his pocket.

"Okay. At the recording studio, have the arranger polish the string section of the fifth track a bit more, and I'll check it when I get back."

Su Yao wrote it down in her notebook and pushed up her glasses.

"Understood. Best wishes for a successful filming, Mr. Jiang."

........

The next evening, in the mountain town.

As Jiang Yichen stepped out of the airport, a wave of humid and sultry air hit him.

The weather in Chongqing is a completely different world from that in Beijing. It's only November, and it's still like a sauna here.

A silver-gray bread truck was parked outside the exit.

Chen Hao leaned halfway out of the passenger seat and waved frantically at Jiang Yichen.

"Brother Jiang! Over here!"

Jiang Yichen opened the back door and got in.

The car started immediately and headed towards the old town where the film crew was stationed.

Chen Hao turned around from the front row, his face full of excitement.

"Brother Jiang, these past two weeks of filming have gone incredibly smoothly! Guo Hai's acting is superb!"

"And those thieves, Dao Ge and his gang, they were hilarious! There was one scene where I laughed so hard I almost knocked over the monitor."

Jiang Yichen leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes to rest.

"Is my scene ready?"

Chen Hao immediately took out his phone and pulled out the shooting schedule.

"Everything is arranged perfectly! The costumes and props are all ready: a custom-made black suit, a dark gray shirt underneath, and a pair of silver-rimmed sunglasses."

"Simple yet stylish, it will definitely make you look like a top assassin!"

........

On set.

Chen Hao sat behind the monitor, holding a megaphone.

"Attention all departments!"

"Scene 37, Shot 1 of 'Crazy Stone,' get set!"

"Action!"

The camera zooms in.

Jiang Yichen stood on the busy roadside, carrying a suitcase.

He tilted his chin slightly back, his brows furrowed slightly.

His face, framed by sunglasses, exuded an impatient coldness.

He acted like a professional.

Just then.

A local petty thief wearing a tattered T-shirt crept over quietly.

The thief suddenly reached out and covered Jiang Yichen's eyes.

"Guess who I am?" the thief asked in a thick Chongqing dialect, his tone extremely irritating.

Mike, played by Jiang Yichen, was instantly stunned.

He's an international hitman; he's never seen such low-class, thuggish tactics before.

In those two seconds when he was blindfolded and looked completely bewildered.

Another accomplice, quick as a flash, grabbed the black briefcase from the ground and ran away.

Seeing his accomplice succeed, the blindfolded thief immediately let go of his grip and slipped away into the crowd.

Jiang Yichen snapped out of his daze and turned to look.

The boxes on the ground are gone.

Looking around, people were coming and going, but there was no trace of the person from before.

Jiang Yichen took off his sunglasses, his eyes filled with disbelief. Finally, he gritted his teeth and squeezed out a line from between his teeth.

"I'll fucking swear!"

"Click!"

Chen Hao called for a stop and ran over.

"Brother Jiang, your emotions are spot on!"

"Just now, when you turned around to look for the box, you moved a little off-center and went out of frame."

Jiang Yichen nodded.

He was a complete novice when it came to acting; he hadn't learned any techniques for positioning or finding the right shot. He was just acting purely on instinct.

"One more."

Jiang Yichen returned to his original position.

Second take.

The blindfolded thief asked, "Guess who I am?"

Jiang Yichen's positioning was fine this time, but his expression was a little stiff.

After all, they weren't professional actors, and being suddenly blindfolded by a stranger made them instinctively feel a bit out of character.

"Click!"

Chen Hao scratched his head.

"Brother Jiang, make your expression even colder this time."

"You're a top-tier assassin, being fooled by such petty tricks should make you feel absurd and furious."

Jiang Yichen took a deep breath.

"Okay, I got it. Let's try again."

We had to do four or five takes in a row.

The crew members were all a little nervous.

After all, this is the investor and the big boss. If you displease him, he can shut down the production at any time.

But Chen Hao, behind the monitor, was not flustered at all; instead, his eyes lit up.

Brother Jiang, this isn't a NG (outtake)! Brother Jiang is trying out different levels of performance!

The previous one was more about shock, while the last one was more about anger.

Brother Jiang is searching for that perfect critical point!

That's professionalism!

This is the ultimate pursuit of art!

Chen Hao picked up the walkie-talkie, his tone incredibly firm.

"All departments, prepare!"

"Teacher Jiang wants to try another mode, everyone please cooperate!"

In front of the camera, Jiang Yichen closed his eyes and mentally replayed famous scenes from the original film from his previous life.

That comical feeling of trying to show off but ending up getting humiliated instead.

Jiang Yichen opened his eyes again, his gaze turning incredibly cold.

"bring it on."

The sixth shoot.

Action!

The thief covered his eyes. "Guess which one I am?"

Jiang Yichen frowned, and the corners of his mouth twitched slightly.

It instantly captured the absurdity of a top assassin being bewildered by a street ruffian.

The accomplice took the box, and the thief made his escape.

Jiang Yichen turned his head.

His gaze fell on the empty ground.

He suddenly took off his sunglasses.

Confusion, shock, and self-doubt all eventually turned into a fit of rage and a breakdown in defenses.

His chest heaved violently.

"I'll fucking swear!"

This line was delivered with perfect diction and clenched teeth.

"Click!"

"Perfect!"

Chen Hao jumped up from his chair and clapped.

"This is absolutely brilliant!"

"Brother Jiang, your emotional outbursts are amazing!"

The crew members also joined in the applause.

Jiang Yichen breathed a sigh of relief.

It's finally over.

Acting is not a job that just anyone can do.

He walked up to the monitor and watched the playback.

The image of myself in the picture does indeed resemble Mike from the movie in my past life.

Jiang Yichen nodded.

"Alright, let's get ready for the next match."
