At that moment, He Xu didn't really think it was a big deal.

After being caught by the pipe, he swayed in mid-air for a couple of moments, adjusted his grip, and then looked down at the ground—about three meters high, not short, but not frighteningly tall either.

He even subconsciously moved his right shoulder, which had just hit the wall, to confirm that the bone wasn't broken, but it hurt.

It's fine, it can still move.

But the perspectives of those people below are completely different from his.

Downstairs, the light from the edge of that set created a blind spot in that direction—

Looking up from the ground, after He Xu climbed out of the window, his entire trajectory was swallowed up by the shadow of the factory's exterior wall in mid-air.

He only appeared briefly at the edge of the windowsill before disappearing.

Then came the impact, a dull thud, not too loud, but enough to make everyone's heart skip a beat.

Then came a long, suffocating silence.

Jonathan was the first to rush over.

He rushed out of the second-floor scene, ran to the end of the corridor, leaned over and peered down from the windowsill, faster than He Xu had ever done in a film: "He Xu?!"

When he shouted it out, his voice changed.

A pressing, rough tension squeezed out of his throat, mixed with the rapid sound of leather boots hitting the ground.

"Wire control!" Mike's voice rose from the control panel. "Why isn't the tension holding? He's veering off course!"

"His direction's off—his body angle has changed!" the wire crew shouted as they adjusted the control panel. "But that direction won't hold him!"

"Where is he?!" Carter's voice finally boomed from behind the monitor. "Forget the cables! Where did he fall?!"

He Xu hung on the pipe, looking down at the chaos below—workers were rushing towards the ground below the window from all directions.

He even saw Mike start running along the base of the outer wall.

He Xu decided to speak up.

"—I'm here."

His voice wasn't loud, but it was exceptionally clear during the brief quiet moments on set.

Mike stopped abruptly and looked up.

Carter looked up and followed the direction of the sound—

He Xu was hanging on the metal pipe on the second-floor exterior wall, one hand holding the pipe, the other slowly waving at him with an extremely irritatingly leisurely gesture.

"...What?"

"...He didn't fall?"

"I fell down." He Xu hung on the pipe, glancing down at it. "But luckily there was another pipe, so I grabbed it."

He Xu hung on the pipe, watching the group of people below go from being shaken to looking at each other blankly, and then from looking at each other blankly to an uncontrollable, relieved cursing.

Mike was the first to snap out of it. He stood directly beneath the pipe, hands on his hips, and yelled at him, "You fucking scared me to death! How long have you been hanging up there? Why didn't you say anything?"

"Probably... from when you started calling my name." He Xu glanced at his fingers gripping the pipe, his knuckles slightly white from the force. "I was going to wait until you guys calmed down before I said anything."

"Calm down?!" Mike's voice rose. "You flew three meters into a wall and you expect me to calm down??"

"I bumped into something, but I didn't fall." He Xu's tone remained calm, as if chatting while suspended in mid-air was perfectly normal. "Could you guys put down a ladder or something? My hands are almost out of strength."

The film set is bustling with activity again.

The props team pushed over a folding ladder and placed it under the pipe. When He Xu loosened the pipe, his palm was scratched by the burrs on the metal surface, leaving a shallow white mark.

He landed on the ladder and walked down step by step. When he landed, his knees bent slightly. Then he stood up nonchalantly and stretched his shoulders and wrists.

Jonathan had already rushed down from the second floor and stood three steps away from him, hands on his hips, his chest heaving violently, as if he was forcibly suppressing something.

He Xu turned her head and glanced at him: "Why did you come down?"

"When you flew out of the window, I thought you were going to die."

"I think so too, but I was lucky."

Jonathan stared at him for a few seconds without saying anything, but he knew that He Xu's "good luck" had omitted a lot of details.

Carter strode over, still clutching the walkie-talkie, his expression slightly more relaxed than before, but his tone remained as serious as ever: "Your shoulder—did you hurt yourself when you bumped into the wall?"

He Xu raised his right arm and performed a complete set of shoulder joint circles, with a larger range of motion than usual, as if deliberately showing off to everyone: "I'm not injured, I just bumped into something, it'll be fine in a couple of days."

"The wire crew, come check the cable system and reinforce the clips." Carter turned towards the set, his tone switching back to director's mode. "He Xu, that's your job for today. The rest will be reshot tomorrow."

He Xu opened his mouth, as if to say something, but said, "No need, I can continue."

But before he could finish speaking, Mike grabbed him from the side and pressed him down: "You're here today. Don't say no, don't let me hear a single word. If you say another word that you can continue, I'll have Carter change all your scenes to dialogue tomorrow."

He Xu opened his mouth to say, "I can still film," but Mike had already turned around to tell the props team about dismantling the wires, leaving him no room for argument.

He stood at the edge of the set, watching Mike stride away, then glanced at Jonathan—the man was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, looking at him with a threatening gaze.

"..." He Xu swallowed the words that were on the tip of his tongue, lowered his head and moved his right shoulder, feeling that the dull pain from the impact was changing from "negligible" to "somewhat in the way".

Jonathan straightened up from the wall, walked over, stopped in front of him, and looked him up and down: "How's your shoulder?"

"It hurts."

"Serves you right, lift your clothes up."

He Xu paused for a second, then pulled up the sleeve of his right arm, revealing the skin on the outside of his shoulder—it was indeed starting to turn red, covering a considerable area, with the edges slightly hot.

Jonathan glanced down, didn't say anything like "See?", but simply turned and shouted towards the prop box, "Ice pack!"

The props team handed over an ice pack wrapped in a towel, which Jonathan took and patted directly on He Xu's shoulder.

"hiss--"

"Now you know to hiss?" Jonathan pressed the ice pack firmly against his hand. "Why didn't you hiss when you were hanging on the pipe showing off?"

"...That's not showing off."

"You look cool waving, admit it."
