Si Yimian's back stiffened, and she turned around abruptly.

It was as if someone had pressed the pause button on my whole body.

He Sichen stood behind her, wearing a dark gray suit, with dark circles still visible under his eyes.

She was meticulous from head to toe, standing on a completely different level from everyone else on the terrace.

Si Yimian's pupils suddenly contracted.

He Sichen?

What is he doing here?

When did he arrive?

How long did he watch?

"How could you...?"

He hadn't finished speaking.

He Sichen held the back of her head with one hand, his fingertips digging into her hair roots, his thumb and forefinger pressing under her occipital bone, and lifted her up.

Bow down.

The kiss landed.

There was no probing, no warning.

It was as if all the patience accumulated from twelve hours of flight time and two weeks of emptiness was finally released at once.

Si Yimian's pupils contracted sharply, her nose filled with the spicy smell of bourbon and cold pine resin on his body.

Someone nearby whistled a long whistle, someone gasped, and someone took out their phone to take a picture.

"Are you Chinese? Are you Chinese?!"

"Who the hell is that? Holy crap, he's so handsome!"

"Wait, wait, wait, he said she chose him, so they know each other??"

Someone else was loudly counting down: "One second, two seconds, three..."

Leo's glass remained suspended in mid-air; he forgot to drink it.

He Sichen didn't care.

This kiss was different from every one before.

Without any probing or gradual approach, they went straight to attacking the city.

He pressed his thumb against her jawbone with slight force, and the moment her mouth opened, his breath swept into her mouth.

Si Yimian's mind went blank.

She tried to back away, but his hand gripped the back of her head, preventing her from doing so.

She tried to push his chest, but as soon as she raised her hand, he grabbed her wrist with his other hand and pressed it against the table.

He threaded his fingers through hers, palm against the back of her hand, locking her entire hand to the table.

The commotion around them doubled.

Si Yimian felt the oxygen draining from her brain bit by bit, and a muffled groan escaped from between her lips. Her fingers gripped the front of his suit jacket so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

Her legs started to go weak, and she raised her hand to pat his shoulder twice.

"Thirty seconds...it's up..."

The sound lingered between the lips and teeth, sticky and mushy, with the final syllable rising upwards.

He Sichen stepped back a little, his hot breath hitting the tip of her nose, his pupils darkening.

"I want extra time."

His voice pressed against her earlobe, the breathy sound grazing her ear cartilage before being blocked again.

The counting sounds from the side had turned into screams.

"Thirty-nine, forty, holy crap, forty-five!!"

This time the kiss was even fiercer and more unreasonable. She took a step forward, her lower back hitting the edge of the high table, causing the wine glass on the table to sway and almost tip over.

Leo reached out and helped him.

He stood to the side, his expression as complicated as if he had eaten three pounds of undercooked dumplings.

He Sichen slid his hand from the back of her head to the back of her neck, his thumb and forefinger pressing against her jawline, and his thumb against her cheekbone, lifting her face upwards.

The angle was adjusted to make it easier for him to attack, and she didn't even have room to turn her head to dodge.

Si Yimian's knees were really dropping.

He lifted her up slightly, her toes almost leaving the ground, and she was held tightly in his arms.

The brown-haired girl next to me with the ear cartilage piercing was screaming so hard her voice cracked.

Si Yimian finally understands what it means to have overwhelming lung capacity.

She pushed against his chest twice with her palm, but couldn't move him, so she switched to pinching his waist.

He Sichen let out a muffled groan and finally released his grip.

He rubbed his thumb across her lower lip, wiping away the little bit of moisture from the corner of her lips.

The movements were slow and gentle, a stark contrast to the fierceness of his loved one just moments before.

He tilted his head, his gaze passing over Si Yimian's shoulder and landing on Leo's face.

Leo hadn't even put down his wine glass when he was frozen in his chair.

"She's already taken in the country, I'm sorry."

He Sichen's tone was polite, but his eyes were provocative and aggressive; he didn't even bother to pretend to be polite.

Leo's gaze swept back and forth between the two, his brow furrowing slightly.

"Mian, who is this?"

Before Si Yimian could organize her lines or utter a sound, He Sichen answered for her.

"The person she slept with two weeks ago."

Upon hearing this, the expressions on everyone's faces at the table were quite varied.

He Sichen turned his head to look at her, as if to confirm her story.

Si Yimian's head exploded with a bang.

What the hell?!

How could he talk about something like that so calmly, like reciting a phone number?!

He used to lock the door even when he wanted to kiss her in the office.

Now, in front of so many strangers, he kissed her until she was breathless, and he still dares to say such lewd things?

She grabbed his sleeve and pulled it down, calling his full name in a low voice.

"He Sichen!"

He Sichen ignored her, his gaze sweeping across every face on the table illuminated by gossip.

Then, ask them in fluent English.

"Should the game continue?"

No one said a word.

The blonde girl placed the playing cards face down on the table and shrugged.

The group of elite students who had been making a ruckus just half an hour ago have now all switched to spectator mode.

He waited a moment, then looked away, nodded, and made the decision for everyone.

"I've booked her time tonight."

He Sichen looked down at the hand that Si Yimian was holding in his sleeve.

He pried her fingers apart one by one, then changed his grip, interlocking his fingers and palm to palm.

Si Yimian's pupils dilated slightly.

You're kidding me.

She was about to open her mouth to refute when he grabbed her wrist and led her outside.

After taking two steps, he suddenly stopped.

Turn around and look at Leo.

"Oh, right."

"Thank you for taking care of her tonight."

"You won't need to do that anymore."

Leo was so sour he couldn't speak, but he couldn't bring himself to spit it out.

He Sichen pulled Si Yimian forward.

Si Yimian stumbled a couple of steps as he pulled her, her high heels getting stuck in the gaps in the wooden floor of the terrace.

"He Sichen!"

She lowered her voice: "My heel is stuck!"

He stopped in his tracks and looked down.

Her right stiletto heel was indeed stuck in the gap between the floor tiles and she couldn't pull it out.

He Sichen released her wrist, squatted down, and knelt on one knee.

His suit trousers pressed against the marble floorboards. He held her ankle with his left hand, and with his right index finger and thumb, he pinched the heel of her shoe and pulled it up cleanly and efficiently.

He straightened the shoe, gently guided her ankle into it, and then stood up.

He didn't say a word the whole time.

Si Yimian stared down at him for a few seconds as he squatted down and stood up again, her mind going blank for a moment.

This person was radiating an aura of dominance when declaring his ownership to so many people on the terrace, but the next second he actually squatted down to help her pull off her heels.

Okay, she admits that the action was indeed a bit too much for her.

But she was still a little angry, angry that he hadn't come to see her off that day.

The next second, he supported her knees with his right hand and lifted her up.

Si Yimian was lifted up and carried.

She instinctively hooked her arms around his neck.

"He Sichen!!"

"Put me down!!"

"Everyone is watching..."

He Sichen had already entered the elevator.

He stepped inside, pressed the close button behind him, and selected the ground floor.

The door closed, leaving only two people in the enclosed space.

The elevator walls were mirrored, reflecting their overlapping shadows on all four sides.

Si Yimian was still in his arms, her heartbeat still reeling from the series of actions she had just taken.

She looked down at him, noticing a faint blue vein above his Adam's apple.

"He Sichen, are you crazy?"
