Wizard: I Have a Nightmare World

Chapter 25 Little Fairy Amber

After the two chatted for a while, the fairy seed in Lynn's palm suddenly burst out with a dazzling green light.

The emerald green beam shot into the sky, forming a halo in mid-air, and then, as if drawn by some force, converged towards the amber phantom.

Emerald green light cascaded down from the halo, like a reversed rain, all flowing into the amber's body.

Amber's body began to solidify.

The originally translucent silhouette gradually became clearer, the texture on the petal skirt became tangible, the veins on the wings became distinct, and the dark green hair shone with a healthy luster in the light.

She transformed from a phantom into a real, flesh-and-blood garden fairy.

"call--"

Amber exhaled softly, flapped her wings, twirled in the air, and then landed on Lynn's shoulder, grabbing his collar with her little hands.

"This is the aura of your world. The energy is so rich, but it's completely different from that of the astral plane."

Lynn glanced at the little guy on his shoulder and smiled slightly.

Are you adapting well?

"Hmm...it's alright, it's just that the energy particles in the air are a bit unfamiliar. Give me a few days and I'll get used to them."

As Amber spoke, she looked around curiously, examining the runes and dimensional wells on the three underground levels.

"The runes here are so complicated. You wizards really are a bunch of guys who spend all day fiddling with complicated things."

Lynn smiled, ignoring her comment, stood up, and put the fairy seed, which had lost its luster and become an ordinary seed, into his spatial ring.

"Let's go, I'll take you to see the teacher first, and then we'll go back to the nursery."

He walked up the stairs, while Amber flew off his shoulder and hid in his hair, only her small head peeking out as she cautiously surveyed her surroundings.

What are you doing hiding in my hair?

Lynn asked, somewhat amused.

Safety first!

Amber said matter-of-factly.

"My grandma said that when you arrive in an unfamiliar place, you should first find a safe spot to observe your surroundings, and not foolishly fly around aimlessly."

Lynn shook her head and let her go.

Upon arriving at the twelfth floor, before Lynn could even knock on the door of the Bloodvine Wizard's study, a voice could be heard coming from inside.

"Come in."

Seeing this, Lynn pushed the door open and entered. Bloodvine Wizard was tidying up his potion-making tools behind his desk.

After hearing Lynn come in, (Amber) finished packing her things and looked up, her gaze passing over Lynn and landing on the little head peeking out from Lynn's hair.

Amber froze the moment she saw the Bloodvine Wizard.

She stared wide-eyed at the dark green object, her small mouth slightly agape, as if she had seen something incredible.

Her body trembled slightly, and if it weren't for Lynn's hair providing some cover, she would have almost fallen right off Lynn's head.

Bloodvine Wizard's gaze lingered on Lynn's hair for a moment, then he saw Amber's wide eyes.

He subtly gave Amber a look, a look that carried a hint of warning and a tacit understanding, as if to say:

Don't make a fuss.

Amber's body trembled slightly, as if she understood the meaning of that look. She immediately shut her mouth and shrank back into Lynn's hair, leaving only a pair of bright little eyes to observe cautiously.

The Bloodvine Wizard looked at Lynn as if nothing had happened, his expression unchanged.

"The contract was successful?"

"Yes, teacher." Lynn bowed slightly.

"I have successfully formed a contract with a garden fairy named Amber."

"amber."

The Bloodvine Wizard read the name aloud and nodded.

"A nice name. Although the Garden Fairy is timid, she is very good at tending herbs."

"Now that you've successfully formed a contract, treat her well and don't mistreat her."

As he spoke, he took a thin booklet and a small cloth bag from the drawer of his desk and casually tossed them to Lynn.

"This is a guide to raising garden fairies, which records some of their preferred food, environment, and habits."

"There's some fairy nectar powder in that bag; she should like it."

Lynn took the booklet and the bag and bowed again.

"Thank you, teacher."

"Alright, go and do your own thing."

Bloodvine Wizard waved his hand, sat back down in his chair, picked up the book on the table, and continued reading.

Lynn left the study and walked down the stairs out of the White Raven Tower.

Throughout the journey, Amber remained quietly hidden in his hair, without uttering a single word.

It wasn't until Lynn crossed the street, returned to his incubation room, and closed the door that Amber flew out of his hair, landed on the worktable, and let out a long breath.

"Phew! That scared me to death."

Lynn looked at her curiously.

"What's wrong? You seemed very nervous when you saw the teacher just now."

Amber froze, then quickly waved her hand to explain.

"It's nothing, I just sensed a very strong aura emanating from that person, and I was a little scared."

"And your teacher's aura is even stronger than that of the elders of my clan."

Lynn didn't keep it all to himself either, and nodded.

"Teacher Xue Teng is indeed very strong, but don't worry, he's a good person and won't do anything to you."

Amber responded, but her eyes still showed a hint of evasion.

She quickly changed the subject and began to look around at her surroundings.

"Is this your incubation room?"

Amber flapped its wings and flew up, circling the entire room.

The cultivation room is about 100 square meters, half of which is a medicine shop area, where seven or eight kinds of herbs such as silver leaf flower, dragon beard grass, blue core grass, and blood-striped orchid are planted. There is also a corner where some cultivation tools and potting soil are piled up.

Amber flew over the herb garden, looked down at the herbs with yellowing and withered leaves, and a look of heartache appeared on her face.

"You're really neglecting them!"

She landed on a dragon's beard grass and touched the yellowed, wilted leaves with her little hands.

"Look how dry it is, and the silver leaf flower over there, the black spots on the leaves have spread to the stems. If it's not treated soon, it will really be gone."

Lynn stood to the side, somewhat guiltily touching her nose.

"I've been too busy with cultivation lately and haven't had time to take care of it."

Amber shook her head, like a frustrated gardener.

"You humans only know how to plant, not how to care for."

As she spoke, she landed from the air, placed her hands on the soil next to the dragon beard grass, and closed her eyes.

Lynn saw a soft, emerald-green halo spread from her palm, like ripples, slowly seeping into the soil.

The originally dry and cracked soil began to become more moist under the nourishment of the green light, and the yellowing of the dragon beard grass leaves faded at a visible speed, regaining its vibrant green color.

Amber flew over to the silver-leaved flower again, stretched out her little hand, and gently touched the black spots.

Green specks of light flew from her fingertips and landed on the black spots.

The black spots seemed to have met their nemesis, and began to fade and shrink at a visible speed, disappearing completely in just a few seconds, and the leaves of the silver leaf flower regained their silvery-white luster.

Lynn's eyes lit up.

This efficiency is simply amazing!

Amber withdrew her hand, patted the dirt off her palm, turned around, put her hands on her hips, hovered in mid-air, and looked at Lynn with a serious expression.

"Alright, these herbs are stable for now."

"But I'm giving you a formal warning, Lynn!"

"From now on, your herb garden is under my management, and you're not allowed to touch it without permission!"

"And when are you going to plant the bellflowers you promised me?"

Amber stood with her hands on her hips, hovering in mid-air. Her small body was ramrod straight, and her big, dark green eyes were fixed on Lynn. She looked just like a butler negotiating with her employer.

Lynn couldn't help but smile as he looked at her serious expression.

"Flower bellflower, right? I remember now. I'll go to the materials hall tomorrow and see if they sell seeds."

"Hmm, that's more like it."

Amber nodded in satisfaction, then began flying around the cultivation room again, muttering to herself as she flew.

"Your cultivation room has quite a few problems: insufficient ventilation, insufficient light, and inadequate soil activity."

"There are so many herbs to plant. If we had followed your previous hair care method, these herbs would be lucky to have survived this long."

Lynn stood aside, watching her flit about in the air above the herb garden like a busy little bee, occasionally squatting down to check the temperature of the soil, and then flying to the window to check the angle of the light outside. Her professional demeanor was far superior to any herbalist he had ever seen.

"How do you plan to renovate it?"

Lynn asked.

Amber flew back to Lynn and stretched out her little hands to count:

"First, a light-guiding rune needs to be added to the window in the southeast corner to refract the light into the center of the herb garden, otherwise the few herbs in the corner will never get any sunlight."

"Secondly, the drainage system of the medicinal herb garden needs to be rebuilt. The current drainage is too poor, and the soil is always too wet."

"Third, I want to plant a ring of companion moss around the herb garden, which can regulate humidity and also repel some pests."

"fourth……"

She listed seven or eight suggestions for improvement in one go, each one well-reasoned and supported by evidence, which made Lynn nod in agreement.

After Amber finished speaking, Lynn gave her a serious look.

"Amber, when you were in the Astral Plane, were you specifically in charge of taking care of the herb garden?"

Amber proudly raised her little face.

"Of course! I'm one of the top ten herbalists in the tribe!"

"My grandmother taught me herbal cultivation techniques for thirty years. I can recite the growth habits, disease prevention and control, and soil preparation of various herbs with my eyes closed."

"Thirty years?" Lynn asked, somewhat surprised.

The little guy in front of me looks no bigger than the palm of my hand, but he has already studied herbal medicine for thirty years.

But then I thought about it again. Fairies have a different life cycle than humans. Thirty years might just be the beginning of their growth in their race.

"What, you think I'm too old?"

Amber glanced at him sideways.

"No, no, I admire your professionalism."

Lynn quickly waved his hand.

Amber snorted, then flew to Lynn's worktable, landing next to an empty medicine bottle, and curiously examined the traces of medicine remaining in the bottle.

She leaned closer to smell it, then wrinkled her little nose.

"Huh? You're preparing a breath-coagulating potion?"
