"Shall we...wash together?"

Bai Tao's voice sounded somewhat helpless as Pei Jin's kisses landed, one after another, sliding from her ear to her neck.

She craned her neck back with all her might, shoved her hands into Pei Jin's hair, and pulled his head back with a slight force through her fingers.

"Get up, Pei Jin, no... no."

"What do you mean, 'no'?"

"Washing together...no way."

It's too intimate; she can't do it.

Pei Jin paused for a moment, then straightened up and looked at her face.

He put her down and took half a step back.

"Okay, do you want to wash first or should I?"

Bai Tao lowered her head, "You..."

Pei Jin glanced at her, said nothing, turned around, grabbed his towel and pajamas, and quickly went into the bathroom.

When the sound of water came, Bai Tao leaned against the wall, slowly slid down, her fingers gripping the fabric of her clothes, her heart pounding rapidly.

That was the fastest shower Pei Jin had ever taken.

Bai Tao was still squatting on the ground when he came out, his hair still dripping wet, water droplets sliding down his jawline.

"Okay, baby, go quickly."

He pulled Bai Tao up, and she took clothes from her suitcase and hid in the toilet.

She lingered inside for almost half an hour, the sound of water pattering softly.

Pei Jin, standing outside the bathroom, noticed the rhythm of the water sounded off. He frowned, thinking that showering and washing his hair with cold water would cause facial paralysis.

He stood at the bathroom door, his voice coming through the door, "Baby?"

Bai Tao froze for a moment in front of the mirror, her voice carrying a hint of panic from being suddenly awakened.

"Hmm? What's wrong?"

Is there any hot water left?

Bai Tao paused for a moment.

I reached out and touched it; the water was already cold.

She turned off the shower, took a deep breath, and then opened the door.

Pei Jin stood at the door, his hair almost dry from drying, his worried gaze falling on her.

"What's wrong?"

Bai Tao shook her head, her voice very soft.

"fine."

She was about to leave when Pei Jin gently pushed her back into the restroom.

He unwrapped her hair, which was wrapped in a towel, dried it a few times with the towel, then squatted down, picked up the hairdryer, and patiently stood behind her to dry her hair.

It turns out she wasn't incapable of drying it, she just lacked patience...

Bai Tao stood in front of the mirror, looking at Pei Jin in the mirror. He lowered his eyes, his fingers running through her hair, brushing it aside strand by strand and blowing it dry.

His movements were very gentle, and he was very serious when he did things. Occasionally, his long, slender fingers would play with the tips of her hair, and then he would lean in and smell it.

My hair is dry.

Pei Jin wound up the hairdryer cord, put it back in its original position, and then slowly wrapped his arms around Bai Tao's waist from behind.

He rested his chin on her shoulder and looked up at the two of them in the mirror.

Bai Tao's hand gripped his arm, her fingertips applying slight pressure.

Pei Jin's gaze met hers in the mirror. He lowered his eyes, his voice falling on her ear.

"Is it okay, baby?"

That's...that's too unfair.

Bai Tao bit her lip, remained silent, and simply nodded slightly.

Pei Jin saw her actions, but this time he didn't let her off the hook.

"What does nodding mean? Is it okay, baby?"

His fingers traced down her waist, hooking a small section of fabric from her dress. When his fingertips touched her, Bai Tao's body trembled slightly.

Her gaze shifted to one side, unwilling to meet Pei Jin's eyes in the mirror any longer.

Pei Jin didn't urge her, but continued to ask in that seductive voice close to her ear,

"Baby hasn't answered me yet. What does nodding mean?"

Bai Tao closed her eyes and heard herself say in a very soft voice,

"Yes...yes."

Pei Jin chuckled softly, his breath brushing against her ear.

He gently turned her around, and Bai Tao's thighs touched the edge of the sink. The cool touch made her instinctively snuggle into Pei Jin's arms, where he caught her steadily.

He placed his hands on either side of her body, pulling her into his embrace. He lowered his head, kissing her while glancing up at his reflection in the mirror.

Bai Tao was surrounded by his figure, and his fingers gently traced along her waistline, causing her breathing to falter for a moment.

Bai Tao was lifted up steadily by Pei Jin, who held her by her thighs.

She instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, clinging to him, her body stiff, all of which told Pei Jin how nervous she was.

Pei Jin paused for a moment as he passed the cabinet.

He turned to the side, freeing one hand to open the bag and take out the unopened pink box.

Bai Tao's gaze fell on the box, then shifted away, but she couldn't help glancing at it again.

Pei Jin handed it to her, his voice low.

"Open it for me, baby."

Bai Tao took the box, which had a thin layer of plastic film on it.

She lowered her eyes, her fingertips tracing the edge of the cut, and then gently tore it open.

Pei Jin lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on her hands.

Watching her fingers gently tear along the edge of the wrapper, making a soft sound.

Pei Jin did not urge her.

He looked at the shadows cast by her eyelashes in the light, and at her slightly pursed lips.

What a...good baby.

……

Pei Jin looked fierce, but he didn't say anything, and in the end, he only had one minute.

At the end, disbelief flashed in both of their eyes. Pei Jin knelt down and lay prostrate in Bai Tao's neck, his forehead pressed against her shoulder.

Bai Tao lay there, not yet fully recovered from the brief pain, when she felt him rubbing against the side of her neck, again and again.

Bai Tao was stunned for a moment.

It just hurt a little, and it hasn't even started yet...

Is that all?

She was worried that she might lose control and shout too loudly, and what if the people in the hallway heard her...

She's overthinking it...

Should we say a few words of comfort to him...?

As she was trying to figure out how to bring it up without making him feel even more embarrassed, a thought suddenly popped into her head.

No wonder Pei Jin only gave people money in his past life; it turns out he wasn't very good at that.

That person is quite nice; he knows not to hold others back.

Bai Tao pulled her leg back and was about to get out of bed when Pei Jin reached out from behind and grabbed her ankle with considerable force.

"One more time, baby."

Bai Tao turned around in surprise, her gaze falling on his face.

His eyes had regained that familiar look, like a bow being slowly drawn back.

She glanced down and saw that the recovery was happening much faster than she had expected.

Pei Jin took another small, square silver package from the pink box on the bedside table and handed it to her.

"Help me, baby."

……

……

"Pei Jin, I have to go to work tomorrow... Can you hurry up?"

Bai Tao's voice was broken and tearful, and Pei Jin gently covered her mouth with his hand.

Shh, baby.

"It's disturbing the peace."
