Bai Tao and Pei Jin were waiting for the elevator on the first floor.

The elevator doors were mirrored, reflecting the figures of two people side by side, one tall and one short.

Bai Tao leaned closer to Pei Jin, who then put his arm around her shoulder. His gaze lingered on the mirror for a moment before he reached out, pinched her chin, and kissed her.

Bai Tao pushed against his chest with her hand. Pei Jin found that hand in the way, so he grasped it and gently held it in his palm.

"Mmm..."

She wanted Pei Jin to let go, but she couldn't utter a single word.

The elevator is slowly rising, -2, -1, and then 1.

Bai Tao saw out of the corner of her eye that the elevator had stopped and the doors were slowly opening. Startled, she struggled even more fiercely and bit his tongue. Pei Jin did not pull away but instead held her even tighter.

Pei Jin took it as flirting and continued to hold her waist, gently lifting her up until she needed to stand on tiptoe to respond to him.

The elevator doors opened fully.

Sun Lishu and Song Yu stood inside, and when they saw the scene outside, they stopped in their tracks.

They both gasped; they shouldn't have been in the elevator, they should have just taken the stairs.

Pei Jin noticed someone was there and immediately pulled Bai Tao into his arms, using his shoulder to shield her face.

He looked up, his eyes deep and serious.

Sun Lishu and Song Yu were stunned for a moment, somewhat taken aback and at a loss for what to do. What kind of murderous gaze was that...?

They both raised their hands at the same time.

"Hey, Brother Pei, what a coincidence, you live here too."

Pei Jin didn't release Bai Tao, but simply nodded slightly, then reached out and pressed a button outside the elevator to close the door again.

The elevator doors slowly closed, separating the people inside from those outside.

Bai Tao lifted her head from his embrace, her face still flushed, her lips red, and her voice soft and sweet.

"It's all your fault, Pei Jin, have you gone mad?"

Pei Jin rested his chin on the top of her head, his voice tinged with amusement.

"Why does the baby keep swearing with the same phrase? It's so cute."

The next elevator arrived, and Pei Jin took Bai Tao's hand and walked in.

The moment the elevator doors closed, his head lowered again.

Bai Tao anticipated this, covering her mouth with one hand and shielding Pei Jin's face with the other.

"There are surveillance cameras! Pei Jin."

Pei Jin glanced at the surveillance camera in the top corner, then his gaze returned to her face.

"It's okay, baby."

Bai Tao refused, covering her mouth even tighter.

Pei Jin surrendered with both hands raised.

"Okay, okay, I surrender."

When the elevator doors opened on the sixth floor, Bai Tao got off first, and Pei Jin pressed himself against her from behind, his leather shoes wedged between her sandals, making it impossible for her to walk normally.

She could only be pushed along, staggering, completely following Pei Jin's steps.

He kissed her cheek, shoulder, and neck one by one.

Just as Bai Tao was about to crash into the door, the fingerprint lock beeped, and Pei Jin opened the door ahead of time.

Bai Tao then realized why Pei Jin had said there was no need to bring the basement lock.

In the entryway, Bai Tao was placed on the shoe cabinet by Pei Jin, who had his hands around her waist.

The wooden edge of the shoe cabinet pressed against the back of her thigh, and Pei Jin lowered his head to kiss it.

Pei Jin kissed her passionately, reluctant to part. Bai Tao was someone who couldn't hide her feelings, and she had something to tell Pei Jin tonight.

Just once, she kicked so lightly... it shouldn't have hurt her...

In the darkness, Bai Tao's eyes darted around, and she slowly lifted her leg.

"snort."

Pei Jin's muffled groan echoed in the darkness, filled with pain.

He stepped back slightly, and as his lips parted, a thin thread appeared, half of it falling onto Bai Tao's chin as it broke.

Bai Tao wiped it off with the back of her hand, and before Pei Jin could recover, she jumped off the shoe cabinet, reached the living room, and turned on the light.

She turned back and peeked at Pei Jin, who was still leaning against the shoe cabinet by the door, not yet recovered.

He was holding onto the edge of the shoe cabinet, standing for a while, when suddenly he slowly squatted down, his movements much slower than usual.

Bai Tao then became frightened and quickly went over, her voice trembling with the urge to cry.

"Pei Jin... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."
