On a path through the dense forest, Matthew leaned against a tree, panting, having deactivated the ability of the cryptid worm.

I'm somewhat glad I ran fast.

Hearing the sounds of fierce fighting and screams behind him, although he didn't know what was happening, running away in advance was definitely the right choice for him.

After receiving two more large bottles of magic potions, Matthew finally recovered a little.

The frequent use of three second-tier magical insects at once has caused the magical shackles under the skin to begin to surface.

Fortunately, he didn't have a meltdown when he played against Warren, otherwise he would definitely be finished.

Just as he was preparing to leave this place of trouble and head to Moore City to meet up with Luca.

A letterbug landed squarely on his head.

"squeak!"

The clear, crisp cry echoed through the dense forest.

The next instant, two figures appeared behind him one after the other.

Matthew's expression suddenly changed. He thought Warren had caught up with him, and his magic power erupted instantly. He raised his hand and slapped backward.

The explosion struck the body instantly, producing a muffled groan.

When the smoke cleared, Matthew realized that the people who had come were not Warren, but two people he had never seen before.

However, the aura of a third-tier expert faintly appeared within the opponent's body, and the atmosphere became somewhat tense for a moment.

Who are you?

"Who are you, Grace?"

Both sides questioned each other simultaneously, clearly indicating that neither was the person they were looking for.

However, after the other party spoke, Matthew guessed that they were probably from the Chamber of Commerce.

Looking at the young man whose clothes were covered in black from the explosion, the other man's expression wasn't very pleasant, but he wasn't angry.

"Are you from the Chamber of Commerce?"

The young man wiped his face, nodded, and looked Matthew over, his expression gradually becoming serious.

"What's your relationship with Grace? Where is she? Or are you one of those people from earlier?"

Greck squinted, placing one hand on Matthew's shoulder to prevent him from running away.

He didn't understand why the messenger worm that had eaten his blood would fly onto the boy in front of him, but it seemed to have come from that tribe and probably knew Grace.

Feeling the heavy magic on his shoulders, Matthew shook his head without changing his expression.

"Gentlemen, I just had a fight with their boss and ran away. How could I possibly be one of their people? Besides, Grace is safe now. If you're looking for her, come with me."

After saying that, Matthew slapped the hand off his shoulder and turned to leave.

Before Greck could even process what he was saying, the man was already gone.

He turned to look at another middle-aged man, his expression one of astonishment: "What did he just say?"

"He said he fought with that third-tier ability user, then ran away and rescued the young lady along the way."

The middle-aged man analyzed Matthew's words and was equally surprised.

"He should only be a second-tier ability user. If he's not lying, then he certainly has the right to be so arrogant."

Combined with what Warren had said earlier, and their furious outburst upon arrival, it does seem somewhat credible.

"Follow him first. The letter worm shouldn't be wrong. He's probably been in contact with Third Sister for a long time."

......

After leaving the dense forest, the closer you get to Moore City, the more often you can see people with special abilities or young people going out of town to hunt for game on the surrounding paths.

Luca and his two companions continued on their way without stopping for a moment.

Only then did they dare to rest, finding a shady spot to wait for Matthew.

"He should be alright, right?" Grace asked, her face full of worry.

Holly was also somewhat worried; whatever Matthew's motives, he had indeed saved them several times.

Even if the first impression is bad, it will be somewhat mitigated.

Only Luca stood by, carefree, eating his pancakes.

"Don't worry, my brother Ma is a man who participated in the siege of the Beast King. He can't beat a third-tier ability user, but he thinks he can escape."

Based solely on the incredible abilities of that Hidden Segment Worm, if it wanted to escape, it would be difficult to catch it within the third rank.

What's more, there are so many upgraded swarms of exploding bugs.

Holly rolled her eyes at Luca, wondering who Matthew's older brother was anyway, since he wasn't worried about his little brother at all.

"Here it comes!"

Just as the group was discussing, Matthew emerged from the woods looking disheveled, followed closely by two figures.

"Brother Ma! I've missed you so much!"

Luca swallowed the waffle in his mouth and stood up to greet Matthew.

The next moment, Grek, a muscular and strong man, appeared in front of him and lifted him up.

"Huh? What are you doing? Brother Ma! This kid looks like he's going to beat me up, hurry and help me!"

Luca, who was being lifted up, tried to use his hands and feet, but couldn't touch the man in front of him at all. It wasn't until Grace behind him spoke that he realized what was happening.

"Big brother? Uncle Bell!"

"Third Sister, are you alright?"

Greck tossed Luca aside and rushed over to check on Grace. Thankfully, nothing had happened.

"Brother, I'm fine. This time, thanks to Matthew, otherwise we probably wouldn't have made it back."

Grace introduced Matthew to Greck.

The latter waved his hand and said, "No need to trouble yourself, we've already met on the way."

He actually had some admiration for the young man in front of him, mainly because the young man had saved his sister several times.

Matthew helped Luca up, then said to the others, "Since everyone's alright, we'll take our leave now."

"Matthew..." Grace hesitated, as if she wanted to say something but then stopped herself.

Greck saw through his sister's thoughts and immediately tried to persuade her to stay.

"Matthew, you probably don't have a place to stay yet, right? Why don't you come back to the Chamber of Commerce with us and thank us for saving Third Sister?"

Another middle-aged man, known as Uncle Bell, came up to them, his expression kind but his hands holding them down with tremendous force.

"Young man, don't be shy, our chamber of commerce has plenty of rooms."

Matthew was reluctant to accept their invitation, but now it was no longer up to him whether to go or not.

Outside Moore City.

Even before getting close, you can see that the surrounding roads are full of caravans and vendors.

Matthew and Luca were caught between Greck and Uncle Bell, both third-tier ability users, and were being personally guarded by them, so they had no chance to escape.

Although Grace and Holly's accounts revealed that Matthew had been saving them all along.

However, this was too much of a coincidence, so to be on the safe side, they decided to take the person back to the Chamber of Commerce for investigation, in case it was someone with ulterior motives who deliberately approached them.

The six of them entered the city quickly.

Moor City is completely different from Val Town.

Needless to say, its area is more than ten times the size of the town of Val.

Moreover, the streets are lined with all kinds of shops.

Matthew and Luca's eyes lit up. Compared to their previous life of constantly dealing with alien beasts on the border, this was the place where humans should live!

"Let's go, the Chamber of Commerce is just ahead. Let me show you the unique features of Moore City."

Greck patted Matthew on the back, signaling them to follow.
