From humble beginnings to the pinnacle of life

We were trapped in the no-man's-land for a full twenty-three days, and we persisted in filming and recording every day, accumulating countless materials.

This first video merely records our initial experience of starting from Shuanghu County and choosing to traverse the uninhabited area against the odds.

At the end of the video, we deliberately left a hook.

The scene freezes on the moment we encounter the pickup truck that's pretending to be stuck, and the poachers are waving at us, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

After the video was released, Su Qing and I sat side by side, keeping a close eye on the backend data and the comment section the whole time.

In the first few minutes after the release, the data simply rose steadily.

However, the likes, favorites, and comments were all from long-time fans, expressing admiration, amazement, and support, creating a relatively harmonious atmosphere.

But just one hour later, the video data suddenly surged dramatically!

The number of views on the platform immediately exceeded one million, and the comment section was flooded with thousands of messages, with its popularity soaring.

What surprised us even more was that the backend was clearly displayed.

An unknown account spent a lot of money to promote this video, giving it over 100,000 yuan worth of traffic, which directly propelled it to the top of the trending list.

Su Qing and I were both stunned!

However, upon checking the homepage of the promotional account, it was discovered that it was a newly registered, inactive account with no identity information.

It's really suspicious that an unknown big shot would spend so much money to boost our popularity for no reason.

Su Qing and I exchanged another glance, our faces full of confusion, completely unable to guess each other's identities and purposes.

With massive traffic and the video's hardcore and authentic content, the video's popularity exploded.

In just two hours, the number of likes exceeded 500,000, the number of comments exceeded 10,000, and the popularity continues to rise rapidly.

The entire internet was in an uproar, with the comment section buzzing with excitement:

"This is true extreme outdoor survival! It's all real, unforgiving adventure!"

"I've been to the edge of the no-man's-land. Those places are barren, the environment so harsh that ordinary people couldn't even stay there. They actually dared to cross it inside out! I really admire them!"

"Lin Ye is truly steady! The previous videos all said that the snowstorm was raging and entering the uninhabited area was strictly prohibited, but he was bold and meticulous—amazing!"

Initially, the entire internet was filled with praise, admiration, and adoration, with no negative voices whatsoever.

However, as the video continued to spread, a large number of passersby and netizens flocked to watch, and the higher the popularity, the more controversy and malice followed.

The praise gradually faded, and more and more biased and skeptical comments began to emerge.

Someone deliberately dug into our background and identity, and started picking apart video details frame by frame to find loopholes.

Soon, several malicious comments that stirred up trouble were deliberately pushed to the top of the trending comments:

"Has anyone investigated Su Qing? They set off together at the beginning, so why didn't she enter the no-man's-land in the end? Was the whole thing staged to gain attention?"

Fans immediately retorted: "Didn't you watch their live stream in Lhasa? Su Qing got sick and wasn't feeling well, so she had to leave. Don't make baseless accusations if you don't understand!"

But those trying to stir up trouble wouldn't listen and continued to deliberately provoke: "You believe her just because she says she's sick? Look at her style and outfit, she's not your average internet celebrity. It's most likely a pre-scripted story, using Lin Ye to gain attention and followers!"

"These days, internet celebrities all love to create on-screen couples to gain traffic, treating netizens like fools, right?"

"Even if it's true, with such a huge difference in their social status, they're bound to separate sooner or later!"

Soon, resourceful netizens uncovered Su Qing's true identity: "This is Su Qing, the heiress of Su's Pharmaceuticals! A true top-tier heiress!"

An even more explosive comment instantly ignited public opinion: "I know! Fang Heng, the young master of the Fang family, has been pursuing Su Qing relentlessly, and the two families have long since tacitly agreed to a marriage alliance!"

In an instant, public opinion across the internet completely changed.

The initial admiration and praise were instantly overshadowed by malicious speculation based on class prejudice, and ridicule from onlookers.

Everyone started frantically digging into Su Qing's family background, the Su family's businesses and connections, the vast difference in status between me and Su Qing, and Fang Heng's existence.

In just two hours, the two hashtags quickly went viral, soaring to the top of the trending topics list.

The once warm and quiet courtyard instantly became subdued and oppressive as trending topics and malicious comments kept popping up on my phone.

Su Qing looked down at the comments section, her face gradually darkening as she read the deliberately smearing remarks.

But she did not panic or doubt herself; she remained calm and composed.

Truly confident and worldly-wise people will never be defeated by a few baseless rumors online.

On the other hand, this is the first time I've faced such a heated discussion across the entire internet.

The media storm that has been used to expose and smear countless people inevitably makes one feel flustered, uneasy, and somewhat helpless.

I closed the comments page, took out a cigarette, lit it, took a deep drag, and said in a low voice:

"Stop looking at it, it's just making you more upset."

Su Qing looked up at my slightly tense profile.

Instead of panicking, she smiled and said, "What, scared?"

I nodded frankly, without trying to be defiant: "Although I had anticipated the controversy, it still made me feel uneasy to actually see these malicious smears."

"It's fine."

Su Qing reached out her warm little hand and gently patted the back of my hand, soothing my emotions in return.

"It's a good thing that some people have doubts. Controversy generates buzz, and buzz is essential for breaking out of the niche. If the entire internet is full of positive reviews, there will be no buzz, and the topic won't even get started."

She has witnessed the coldness of human relationships and the disputes of public opinion since childhood, and her temperament is far more mature and stronger than mine. She is not afraid of this little bit of online turmoil at all.

The next second, she raised her hand and grasped mine tightly, her eyes firm yet gentle as she said:

"Let them say whatever they want and guess whatever they want. These netizens can only see the difference in our status, but they can't see how you survived by the skin of your teeth in the no-man's-land."

"They only think that I come from a wealthy family and am spoiled, and that I'm just playing around for a while. They never believe that I'm sincere towards you."

"But my relationship is none of the business of strangers online pointing fingers, my parents interfering forcefully, and Fang Heng meddling in it!"

She looked at me intently, her voice firm and resolute: "In this life, I've made up my mind about you. No one can separate us, not a single one."

At this moment, she remains Su Qing, the woman who dares to love and hate, passionate and open-minded, and who never bows to worldly prejudices or the pressures of reality.

All the panic and anxiety in my heart were instantly soothed by her gentleness.

I took a deep breath and gently pulled her into my arms.

Holding onto this gentleness and peace that belongs only to me, I no longer dwell on the rumors and gossip online, letting public opinion ferment freely.

A storm is coming, but she and I are already prepared to face everything side by side.
