Survival for all, my island is the last pure land on earth.

Chapter 204 Dungeon Game: Eris's Labyrinth 24

After confirming that the man called Brother Tao could not attract other messengers, Jin Xiaoman got up, affixed a talisman, and moved to the next sniping position.

After a brief search, Jin Xiaoman spotted a small group of about fifty people. Based on their posture and positions, they appeared to be from two different camps discussing cooperation.

Recalling what the god had just said, Jin Xiaoman deduced that they had likely encountered a mutated beast that was difficult to subdue or something new. After the crowd quickly left, she followed closely behind.

After running for about twenty minutes, they stopped in front of a hillside.

Jin Xiaoman stealthily approached the leaders of the two factions.

A bald, one-eyed man said, "The village below is the indigenous one that God spoke of. If you don't believe me, you can send someone in to check. But let me make this clear first, that person definitely won't come out."

Another man with a buzz cut frowned: "Didn't they say their combat skills were low?"

"They are not savages; they are intelligent and know how to use weapons."

"What weapon?"

"They had sniper rifles, and their accuracy was quite good, giving me the impression of well-trained soldiers."

"A well-trained soldier is hiding in a village. One-Eyed, don't let this be a trap you set. I'm going to walk right into it."

One-Eyed wasn't annoyed by this. He pointed in a direction and said, "Ali, you should know my brother. He loves to stand behind me on my left, but he's not here today. Where do you think he is?"

"He was unprepared, barged into the village, and was killed."

The man with the buzz cut looked to the left rear of the one-eyed man. Ali usually liked to stand there, casually playing with a dagger, but now, the place was empty.

Upon hearing this, Jin Xiaoman felt a surge of nameless anger. She had always thought that the indigenous people were like mutated beasts, beings without intelligence, and therefore could be used as points for hunting.

But now it sounds like they weren't unintelligent at all; they were clearly a race that had already developed a certain level of civilization.

And God actually used them as a reward for points.

She glanced at the two squads in front of her. One-Eye had thirty men, and Crew Head had twenty-five. Each squad had a sniper, who was currently crouching on two tall trees, aiming at One-Eye and Crew Head, ready to act at any moment.

Jin Xiaoman took out a special powder from a blind box from her backpack and sprinkled it on One-Eyed and Crew Head. This way, even if she explored out of the village and the two groups of people left, she could still track them down.

She used a gliding talisman to glide directly down from above the heads of the group of people and fly over the village.

The village is not large, with about twenty or thirty households at a glance. There is nothing particularly special about it. However, the houses in the village are quite interesting. They are cylindrical houses that look like mushrooms, cute in appearance and brightly colored.

There are also some paintings on the exterior walls of the house that look like children's doodles.

The doors to the mushroom houses in the village were tightly shut, and the windows offered no view of the interior. There were also no signs of any biological activity on the village paths.

However, Jin Xiaoman still vaguely sensed danger coming from three directions based on her combat experience accumulated over the past few days. She quickly approached and found that the three positions were occupied by well-hidden snipers.

They were aiming in the direction that One-Eyed and Crew Head were guarding.

Everything was normal, except that the sniper looked like a mushroom.

Jin Xiaoman held her breath, widened her eyes, and leaned closer to take a look with some uncertainty.

Mushroom seemed to sense something. Even though there was nothing in front of her, she immediately spotted Jin Xiaoman's hiding place.

Jin Xiaoman was startled when that gaze swept over her. It was unlike any other gaze she had ever seen before—empty, numb, sad, and desperate, yet resolute, carrying an unspeakable sense of desperation.

Jin Xiaoman silently retreated and quickly left.

She flew around the village again, and after confirming that the village was well-defended and that the two groups of people on the hillside could not possibly take it down, she returned to her original position with peace of mind.

One-Eyed: "Ali sent back a message before he died that there are two snipers in this village. We will send ten people to the left front to draw fire, ten people to the right front to draw fire, and the rest to flank around to the rear."

"Apart from the sniper, everyone else in the village is helpless. Once we break down the door, they're just easy targets for us to slaughter."

Crew cut: "Those twenty men have no hope of coming back."

"Brother, each native earns fifty points, so you and I will each get at least a thousand points. We're guaranteed to be in the top 100 on the leaderboard. God will reward us handsomely."

The man with the buzz cut had a glint in his eyes. He turned to look at his brothers behind him and said, "I can't accept losing twenty men at once. Let's recruit two more groups and launch a direct attack to slaughter the entire village."

Jin Xiaoman had no intention of intervening in the current situation. She knew too little about the indigenous people and was unaware of the specifics, so she needed a conflict to confirm it.

After reaching a consensus, One-Eyed and Crew Head each led a team of roughly the same size as themselves, led by a woman and a bearded man, respectively.

The four met and reached an agreement in just a few words.

Each team sends out ten men to attack head-on, and the snipers of the four teams are ready at any time, just waiting for the snipers in the village to fire, then immediately lock onto their positions and counter-snipe.

Without further ado, the people in the four teams quickly sprang into action.

The moment the leading man stepped into the village, he was shot dead on the spot by the natives on the mushroom-shaped houses.

The sniper's marksmanship is excellent, cunning, and his aim is superb. Jin Xiaoman bets those four useless guys in the tree definitely didn't find the natives' exact coordinates.

As expected, after a brief exchange, the faces of the four squad leaders turned dark.

One-Eyed cursed a couple of times and ordered the remaining nineteen men to rush into the village from different directions, trying to determine the sniper's location from various angles.

After the fifth person fell, the sniper in the women's team locked onto one of the mushroom-man snipers and fired decisively.

With a muffled thud, the mushroom man tumbled from a tree to the ground and fell lifeless.

The remaining mushroom-man, witnessing the gruesome death of his companion, noticeably increased the frequency of his firing, silently venting his anger with bullets.

Soon, the sniper in the women's team locked onto the position again, and a bullet took down the second mushroom man.

Faint sobs could be heard from the village. A moment later, two mushroom people spontaneously opened their doors, exposing themselves to the messengers' gaze.

They were supporting each other, appearing to be a couple, waving their arms and speaking urgently.

Unfortunately, none of the players present could understand what they were saying. When the messenger saw that the natives were completely defenseless, he excitedly stepped forward and slit their throats with a knife.

The remaining mushroom-man froze for a moment, then collapsed onto the corpse and wailed.

Jin Xiaoman's gaze was fixed on the last mushroom-man sniper. She remained lying there quietly, motionless, with no intention of making a move, but her eyes were filled with despair and anger.
