After Nian Nian and her group entered the guest room, they sat together. She gave Xiao Jin a wink, and the latter immediately understood.

Xiao Jin made hand seals, creating a series of marks in the void. In just a few breaths, an isolation array was set up.

"Alright, apart from our master, there are very few people in the cultivation world who can still hear us."

Little Jin raised an eyebrow and crossed his arms. The expression on the face of a six-year-old boy was truly hilarious.

"Xiao Jin, why are you getting more and more annoying? With that carefree attitude, I might go to Daddy and make things difficult for you."

Niannian saw him start acting silly again, hands on his hips, and began to scold him in a grown-up tone.

"No, Princess Nian Nian, I was wrong. Can we please not stab each other in the back?"

Xiao Jin began to beg for mercy, and his previous arrogant demeanor immediately drooped, turning him into a little quail.

"Niannian, stop fooling around, let's get down to business!"

Xiao Xiao couldn't stand it anymore and quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

Niannian looked at Xiaojin, raised her chin, gave a haughty snort, and then slowly opened her mouth.

"Are we being watched?"

"That's right. We were spotted the moment we appeared. Those people were hiding in the shadows, but their presence couldn't escape my senses."

Luo Nannan was the first to respond, her eyes blazing with fire.

"Sister Niannian, I feel the same way."

Qiqi wiggled her short legs and blinked her big eyes at Niannian.

"Sister Qianqian, what about you?"

Niannian turned to look at Luo Qianqian and asked.

"That gray-robed guide is not as simple as he seems. I saw him and two other people in the cockpit of the airship plotting something. There was a restriction in place, so I couldn't hear anything."

Luo Qianqian smoothed the silver hair on her forehead, her voice soft.

Little Golden Dragon's eyes darted around, and he interjected:

"Whatever they're plotting, if they dare to cause trouble, I'll just swat them to death with one claw. Why bother with all that trouble?"

Niannian was about to retort when Xiaoxiao stopped her.

"He must have already relayed our whereabouts. We need to be careful for the next three days."

Although Luo Xiaoxiao is young, she is calm and composed, and acts with courage and wisdom.

Niannian frowned slightly, looking rather mature for her age, and said:

"It's easy to dodge a spear in the open, but hard to guard against an arrow in the dark. I'm afraid they'll exploit the rules here and take the opportunity to attack us, or use underhanded tactics to disqualify us from the competition."

"What's there to be afraid of? No matter how many schemes he has, they're all worthless in the face of absolute power. If he dares to come, I'll beat him up!"

Little Jin hadn't been quiet for two minutes before her skin started itching again.

……

It was getting dark outside the inn, and there were more pedestrians on the street than before. The lights shone from the shops on both sides, illuminating the road clearly.

Niannian stood by the window and looked out for a while. Across the street, there was a candied hawthorn vendor pushing his cart slowly.

She glanced at him a few more times and noticed that the vendor's gait was off, and he wasn't calling out to customers.

A beggar was squatting nearby, with a broken bowl in front of him. Although there were a few broken spirit stones in the bowl, the rim of the bowl was clean and there wasn't a speck of dust in it.

"How many of those people outside are here specifically for us?"

Niannian lowered the curtain and turned around to ask.

Luo Nannan closed her eyes, her fingertips resting on the edge of the windowsill, and slowly spoke:

"Almost the whole street is like that. The candied hawthorn vendors, the ones squatting in the corner, the two sitting by the window in the teahouse across the street, and the couple standing in front of the cloth shop diagonally opposite—they're all the same kind of people."

The waiter sweeping at the end of the corridor on the second floor of the inn was also there; although he concealed his presence, I could still sense it.

She opened her eyes and continued:

"These people are not very strong, only at the mid to late stage of Mahayana, but they have the advantage of numbers and their positions are very orderly. No matter which side you attack from, they will leave themselves room to maneuver."

Xiao Jin tilted his head and thought for a moment, then became a little impatient.

"So, are we still going out for a stroll? Didn't we just say we wanted to go out and look around?"

Niannian turned to Xiaoxiao and asked, "Little sister, what do you think?"

Xiao Xiao fiddled with the storage ring for a moment, then gently patted the table in front of her:

"If the enemy doesn't move, I won't move either. It's all the same anyway. If we stay in the room, they will still come looking for us. The space here is small, which is disadvantageous to us."

So let's go and lure them out, see what tricks they have up their sleeves!

Nian Nian smiled slightly, her pearly teeth gleaming, her eyes narrowing, a mischievous glint flashing within them:

"Then let's go. Just do as the young lady said, and deal with whatever comes our way."

The group walked out through the back door of the inn, circled around the back alley of the cloth shop that Xiao Jin had seen when he opened the window, and then slipped out again.

The streets were dimly lit and bustling with traffic.

Niannian walked in front, Xiaoxiao followed closely behind, and Qiqi walked beside them, carrying a pottery jar.

Qianqian followed behind, and would habitually pause at the corner of the alley before catching up.

Xiao Jin and Luo Nannan walked at the back, one on the left and one on the right, with a distance of four or five steps between them.

As soon as I turned onto the main street, three people came towards me and blocked the middle of the road.

The leader was a young man in a purple robe, who squinted at Nian Nian and the others with his narrow eyes, looking them up and down for a while.

"Oh ho, so young to participate in the competition? Is there no one else in the Southeast Region? Sending a few barely weaned babies to make up the numbers? Tsk tsk, how pathetic!"

Niannian didn't stop walking; she turned slightly to the side and walked right past him without even turning her head.

"Excuse me, a good dog doesn't block the way!"

The purple-robed man's smile froze, and his companion instinctively reached out to stop him.

Niannian caught a glimpse of his outstretched hand out of the corner of her eye. Without stopping, she slightly nudged the side with her elbow.

The angle was just right under the person's armpit, causing the person to stumble forward.

The man in purple robes turned around and took two quick steps to catch up, his voice rising a notch:

"Stop right there! Do you know where you are? How dare you make a move on this street?"

The two people behind him also surrounded her, one standing in front of Nian Nian and the other standing to the side and behind, forming a circle around her.

Niannian then stopped and looked back at him:

"Which eye of yours saw me make a move?"

The man in the purple robe opened his mouth, while the person who had been brushed against stared intently at him.

"you……"

"What do you mean, 'you'?"

Xiao Jin walked from behind to Niannian's side, her height not even reaching the purple-robed man's chest.

He put his hands in his pockets, looked up and glanced at the man in purple robes with a look of disdain.

"Are you yelling so loudly because you want everyone to know you're bullying a child?"

The purple-robed man's face turned ashen. He raised his hand, and spiritual energy had already condensed at his fingertips, but he did not make a move immediately.

More and more people gathered in the street to watch. Someone recognized the man in the purple robe and shouted at the top of his lungs:

"Isn't that the third son of the Yun family? What did these kids do to offend him?"

Another person whispered:

"The Yun family is not to be trifled with in the Central Region. These little kids are probably in trouble."

Xiao Niannian didn't turn around, but waved her hand behind her:

"Let's go, we can grab a late-night snack when we get back."

She stepped outside, and Xiaoxiao and Qiqi quickly followed.

The waiter in front of the inn stood at the door watching them return, his smile as bright as a flower.

But Niannian noticed that his gaze lingered on her for a moment before he slowly moved aside.

Back in his room, Xiao Jin casually set up an isolation array.

Niannian sat down at the table, poured herself a glass of iced tea, took a sip, and stared at the blurry figure reflected on the window paper.

"Chu Xuan, I suspect that Wang Qiang and his group are in cahoots with the Yun family."

Niannian put down her teacup, looked at the table, pondered for a moment, and then said:

"When the third son of the Yun family blocked our way just now, I saw him glance in our direction a few times, and his eyes looked a bit strange."

Xiao Xiao thought about it carefully before speaking:

"Chu Xuan does indeed have the aura of the Samsara Mark. We've fought him before, and that aura is exactly the same as Jin Wuming's."

Xiao Jin slammed his hand on the table: "If they come here again tomorrow, I..."

Niannian glared at him and interrupted:

"Let's talk about tomorrow's problems tomorrow. If they want to use the rules to pressure us, then let's play the rules with them first. If we can't win, then we'll flip the table. At worst, we'll just go our separate ways."

Xiao Jin pursed her lips, not refuting, but a golden light flashed in the dragon's eyes.
