Su Li suddenly shouted in Zhuang Nuo's ear.

It sounded like thunder.

Zhuang Nuo was startled and raised her hand to cover her ears.

"You're not deaf?" Su Li feigned concern. "That's good, you scared me to death."

"I heard from your parents that you were bullied at school? Tell me who bullied you, and I'll help you get revenge."

Zhuang Nuo pulled the thin blanket up to cover his face.

"You're not going to talk to me? I'm your boyfriend, we haven't broken up yet."

"You're talking nonsense!" Zhuang Nuo finally retorted.

Su Li smirked, looking like a scoundrel. "What nonsense am I talking about? When did you ever say you wanted to break up?"

Zhuang Nuo was speechless and turned away from him.

She ignored him, so Su Li wandered around her room by himself.

Zhuang Nuo waited for a long time but he didn't leave, so she pulled down the blanket and secretly looked at him.

Su Li sat at her desk by the window, flipping through something in her hands.

Zhuang Nuo reacted for a moment, then was shocked and jumped off the bed to grab it.

"Su Li, what are you doing? Give it back to me!"

Su Li held the notebook above her head. "So you still remember my name? But it's too late to worry now, I've already read it all."

Zhuang Nuo stared at him with red eyes, tears streaming down her face.

Su Li remained unmoved, which only fueled her anger.

He was angry that Zhuang Nuo didn't take him seriously, angry that Zhuang Nuo hadn't contacted him, and angry that she was being bullied in a place he didn't know about.

Zhuang Nuo looked at him and cried even harder.

Su Li stared at her coldly, a stark contrast to how she always protected her when they were children.

Zhuang Nuo cried sobbing, her vision began to go black, her hands and feet gradually lost feeling, her body went limp, and she collapsed to the ground.

A hint of panic flashed in Su Li's eyes. He grabbed her and carried her to sit down on the edge of the bed.

Zhuang Nuo's lips turned pale, his fingers curled up and trembled uncontrollably.

Su Li had taken first aid courses; this was clearly respiratory alkalosis.

He glanced around, grabbed a clean plastic bag from the table, and put it over her head. "Inhale and exhale slowly, don't hold your breath."

As the plastic bag bulged and deflated, Zhuang Nuo's rapid and disordered breathing gradually calmed down.

Su Li breathed a sigh of relief, removed the plastic bag, and stood up.

Zhuang Nuo opened his eyes, his gaze dazed.

Su Li rubbed his nose. "It's a good thing your parents didn't come in, otherwise they would have beaten me to death for hugging you like that."

Su Li himself has a son-in-law nemesis. Having seen Su Lang's attitude towards Yan Yuan, he can understand how Zhuang Yi felt about him back then.

Zhuang Nuo lowered his head, wanting to say something but unable to, feeling tired and weak.

She knew she had a problem, but she didn't know how to fix it.

I'm so tired, even the slightest movement feels exhausting.

Su Li looked towards the door.

Logically speaking, Meng Lan and Zhuang Yi should have come in to check on things after hearing the commotion inside.

But they haven't shown up yet.

Something is not right.

Su Li squatted down in front of Zhuang Nuo. "Zhuang Nuo, what do you need me to do?"

Zhuang Nuo lowered her eyes and stared blankly at him.

Su Li sighed and flicked her forehead, "What kind of constitution do you have? You were bullied when you were a child, and you're still being bullied now that you're an adult."

Su Li just read her diary.

To be precise, it's not a diary at all; it's just a record of being bullied.

She was splashed with water, locked in the stairwell, and her homework was deliberately taken away...

Each and every one of these incidents is shocking.

Su Li was not only angry with her, but also with Zhuang Yi and Meng Lan.

Aren't they Zhuang Nuo's parents? Why don't they know anything? Why do they let Zhuang Nuo be bullied?

If his sister were bullied like this at school, his parents would smash the school to pieces.

"Want to go out for dinner?"

Su Li didn't say that Zhuang Nuo had become extremely thin.

Her eyes were sunken, making them appear exceptionally large, but they lacked any vitality.

Zhuang Nuo shook his head.

"What does shaking your head mean? Are you not going out? Or not eating? Or do you not want to eat with me?"

Zhuang Nuo remained silent.

"Wait."

Su Li closed the door and turned around, almost bumping into the two people standing in the doorway.

"Uncle, Auntie."

Meng Lan forced a smile. "Lili, thank you for your trouble."

The doctor said that Nono has depressive tendencies, which is essentially due to too many negative emotions, but she forcibly suppresses and denies her sadness.

However, these negative emotions will not disappear out of thin air; they will only attack her internally.

Being able to cry is a good thing.

Su Li felt a little guilty. He hadn't comforted Zhuang Nuo at all; to be precise, he was the one who made Zhuang Nuo cry.

He changed the subject, "Auntie, is dinner ready?"

Meng Lan quickly replied, "Yes, of course, let's eat now."

"Then could you please serve me two bowls of rice? Zhuang Nuo and I will eat together in the room."

Meng Lan's eyes suddenly reddened. "Okay, okay, Auntie will serve you some."

She filled two bowls with rice, packing them tightly as if afraid it wouldn't be enough, and then picked out all the dishes before serving them to Su Li.

"You guys take your time eating, don't worry about us."

Su Li took the tray, pushed open the door, and returned to the room.

Zhuang Nuo remained in the same position he had left in, sitting on the edge of the bed in a daze.

Su Li placed the food on the desk, then pulled her over, grabbed a chair for herself, and sat down next to her with an air of superiority. "Eat!"

Zhuang Nuo didn't move, staring blankly at him.

Su Li ignored her and continued eating.

Until they discovered the "firmness" of the rice.

He turned to look at the door, which was closed. He wondered if his aunt and uncle were eavesdropping outside.

He leaned close to Zhuang Nuo's ear and whispered, "The rice your mom served me is practically mashed into a paste. Did she stomp on it with her feet? It's so compacted!"

Zhuang Nuo thought for a moment after hearing this, then chuckled, but quickly suppressed his laughter.

Su Li didn't pressure her and ate her meal on her own.

Zhuang Nuo turned her head to look at him blankly. He ate very quickly, but his table manners were excellent, and he didn't look rude or unsightly at all.

Su Li finished his bowl, but Zhuang Nuo hadn't even touched his chopsticks yet.

"Why aren't you eating? Can't you eat? Do you want me to help you?"

Zhuang Nuo stared at him blankly.

Su Li raised an eyebrow, pinched her cheek, and said, "Just say you want it."

"Yes," Zhuang Nuo said, almost in a whisper.

Su Li smiled and used her chopsticks to transfer most of the food from her bowl to her own, leaving only a shallow layer at the bottom.

"Alright, the rest is yours. Don't say I didn't leave any for you."

Zhuang Nuo looked down at the rice in her bowl, which only had a few mouthfuls left. She wasn't under that much pressure, so she moved her fingers, picked up her chopsticks, took a bite, and put it in her mouth.

Su Li didn't look at her, letting her eat slowly.

After he finished eating, he stacked the bowls together, picked up the tray, and went outside.

Zhuang Nuo watched his retreating figure, staring at the door, and her hope returned.

Immediately after Su Li pushed open the door, Zhuang Nuo's eyes lit up.

"Zhuang Nuo, I'm going home."

Zhuang Nuo's eyes dimmed again.

Su Li then asked, "Do you want me to come see you tomorrow?"
