In the days following the press conference, the phone at Yingchuang's factory kept ringing; the sales department had already distributed all the orders.

Xiangjiang high-end electronics stores took 120 units, hotels ordered 200 units, and several clubs and home theaters added up to more than 100 units.

The ten overseas prototypes were also arranged for transportation and insurance.

When Chen Guodong came in with the list, his face was full of exhaustion: "Ms. Lin, five hundred units are not enough."

After reading it, Lin Ying exclaimed, "I know."

Liu Yang sat next to him, slumped over the table: "These past few days, all I see when I close my eyes are order numbers. I even dream about customers asking me if I can hang them on the wall."

Li Jia was also exhausted: "We've already urged them about the materials; we need to lock in a batch of special glass in advance, otherwise the second batch of production will be delayed."

Liu Ya repeatedly emphasized, "The spare parts are not to be touched; if anyone dares to use a spare part to deliver goods, I will break off relations with them."

Chen Guodong immediately said, "No one dares to move."

Liu Yang pointed at Lin Ying: "She dares."

"I wouldn't dare." Lin Ying put away the order list. "Just make sure the second batch has enough production capacity. Don't sacrifice quality for the sake of delivery. Selling the first batch is about saving face, but keeping things in order later is what matters for our livelihood."

Chen Guodong: "I have already rearranged the production plan, and I will go through it with each department again tonight."

Wen Xu sat by the window, flipping through the test report. He hadn't been in a hurry to leave these past few days, watching everything from the press conference to the order allocation.

Liu Yang was initially very nervous, but after realizing that Wen Xu wasn't swearing, he regained his courage: "Engineer Wen, looking at our factory now, don't you feel a great sense of accomplishment?"

Wen Xu looked up: "Where did you get your sense of accomplishment from?"

Liu Yang clutched his chest: "I was involved too."

Wen Xu: "So you should be looking at the yield rate of the second batch of driver boards now."

Liu Yang stood up: "Fine, I'm leaving. I don't deserve to rest."

Lin Ying watched Liu Yang leave before turning to Wen Xu and asking, "When are you going back?"

Wenxu: "The day after tomorrow."

"Then don't work overtime tonight."

Wen Xu closed the report: "Aren't you going to add it?"

"I'm not adding any more." Lin Ying put down the pen on the table. "I've booked a private room and a room at the most luxurious hotel in Shenzhen."

Everyone in the conference room looked over.

Liu Ya: "Boss, you've finally come to your senses?"

Li Jia: "So you finally realize that humans need rest?"

Lin Ying picked up her bag: "It's unbearably hot in Shenzhen in July, and everyone has been suffering these past few days; let's take a bath in the hotel, enjoy the air conditioning, and have a nice meal tonight."

That evening, the group arrived at the hotel.

Liu Yang was stunned by the luxurious decor as soon as he entered: "I declare that I have a new understanding of capital today."

Liu Ya pushed him, saying, "Don't block the way. Haven't you ever seen a hotel before?"

Liu Yang: "I've seen it before, but I've never seen anything this expensive."

Chen Guodong went to the front desk to complete the formalities, while Lin Ying had already arranged the rooms; the group went upstairs to shower and change clothes, and met in the private room an hour and a half later.

Half of the dishes had already been served in the private room.

Lin Ying didn't arrange a formal banquet; it consisted of dishes that everyone liked: roast goose, seafood, soup, stir-fried noodles, and a few vegetarian dishes.

The alcohol was brought by Chen Guodong; it wasn't strong, but it had a significant aftereffect. Lin Ying initially only drank a small half-cup, but later, encouraged by Liu Yang and Liu Ya, she also drank a few more cups.

"Boss, this is the first toast to you."

Liu Yang stood up, holding his cup: "Thank you for rescuing me from that old table and chair."

Lin Ying clinked glasses with him: "Since you chose to come, let's work hard and make it bigger and stronger."

Li Jia also raised her glass: "This glass is for the boss. You approved the funding for the materials lab very readily."

Lin Ying: "We can't skimp on money that needs to be spent."

Li Jia: "That's what they say, but there aren't many bosses who actually pay up."

Liu Ya raised her glass: "Then I'll also raise a toast; if any of you get yelled at by customers in the after-sales service, none of you should hide."

Chen Guodong later had a couple of drinks as well. He was usually quite composed, but after a few drinks, he became a bit more talkative: "Miss Lin, in the past, when I did things, I was always thinking about not making any mistakes."

As he spoke, he looked at the people at the table and said, "Following you in running Yingchuang, I've realized that some things aren't just about avoiding mistakes; you also have to dare to move forward."

Lin Ying, holding her cup, said, "President Chen, what you're saying sounds like a year-end summary."

Chen Guodong laughed: "It's a professional habit."

Wen Xu has always drunk very little.

Lin Ying turned her head to look at him: "Engineer Wen, aren't you going to offer me a toast?"

Wen Xu picked up his glass: "To you."

Liu Yang immediately chimed in, "Just two words? Engineer Wen, you're being way too stingy!"

Wen Xu looked at him: "You want to hear the long version?"

Liu Yang: "Two words are good, concise."

Lin Ying smiled and clinked glasses with Wen Xu. The rims of their glasses touched lightly, causing the wine to swirl.

Wen Xu looked at her and said, "The product is quite good."

After a few rounds of drinks, the noise in the private room grew increasingly louder; Liu Yang began to recount his high school days; Liu Ya, having drunk a bit too much, pulled Chen Guodong aside to chat about after-sales service outlets.

Chen Guodong wanted to take notes, but after fumbling around for a while without finding his notebook, he finally wrote a few words on a napkin.

Lin Ying laughed uncontrollably upon seeing this: "President Chen, please forgive yourself."

Chen Guodong looked at the napkin: "I might not understand it tomorrow."

Liu Ya: "It's okay, I don't understand it either."

It was almost 11 p.m. when the event ended; thankfully, everyone was staying upstairs, so there was no need to go through the hassle of transportation. Chen Guodong was still relatively sober and first arranged for a waiter to take Liu Ya and Li Jia back to their room.

Liu Yang was in high spirits after drinking and insisted on shaking hands with Wen Xu: "Engineer Wen, I used to be afraid of you."

Wen Xu supported him: "Aren't you afraid now?"

Liu Yang: "I'm still scared, but my boss is Lin Ying."

Lin Ying laughed so hard she almost lost her balance.

Wen Xu handed Liu Yang to Chen Guodong, then turned to Lin Ying and asked, "Are you still able to walk?"

"Yes." Lin Ying took two steps, her feet felt unsteady, and she bumped directly into Wen Xu's arms.

Wen Xu helped her up: "Is this what you call capable?"

Lin Ying looked up at him, her eyes already glazed over: "It's a ghost! This road moves by itself!"

Wen Xu had also drunk alcohol, and his reactions were slower than usual.

Lin Ying leaned against him, not letting go immediately.

The corridor was quiet; everyone else had been sent back, and the waiters had also retreated to a distance.

Wen Xu looked down at her: "Lin Ying."

"Um?"

Where is your room?

Lin Ying touched her handbag for a while, then took out a room key and handed it to him: "This."

Wen Xu glanced at the doorplate and helped her walk forward.

As he swiped his card to enter, Lin Ying leaned against the door and suddenly grabbed his sleeve.

The warmth stopped.

She looked at him, her voice much softer than usual: "Wen Xu, you're leaving the day after tomorrow."

"Um."

"You always walk very fast."

Wen Xu didn't reply.

Lin Ying moved a little closer: "I don't like it this way, I'm a little reluctant to leave."

The air conditioning in the room was on full blast, the curtains were drawn, and there was no sound outside.

Wen Xu looked at her, the alcohol slowing his judgment, but he still asked, "Do you know what you're saying?"

Lin Ying nodded: "I know."

She reached out and hugged him.

Wenxu's hand paused for a moment before finally resting on her back.

That night, many things were left unsaid. Alcohol lowered people's guard and brought out emotions that had been hidden for a long time.

The lights in the room were later turned off.

The next day, when Lin Ying woke up, she had a headache. She stared at the unfamiliar ceiling for a few seconds before she realized that she was in a hotel.

White light shone through the gaps in the curtains; the air conditioner was still running.

She moved slightly, then stopped completely... There was someone nearby.

Wen Xu was sleeping beside her! Lin Ying sat up, looked down at herself, and then at the clothes scattered on the floor.

Last night's memories came back in fragments... the dinner party, the drinking, the corridor, the room key... and the words she said when she hugged Wenxu.

It’s over.
