Zhao Fengyue broke out in a cold sweat, her clothes completely soaked. She tried to speak to remind me, but her mouth was tightly sealed, and she couldn't make a sound. She could only anxiously stare at Dazhuang.

Nan Ge grinned maliciously and swung his machete fiercely at Da Zhuang's neck. Just as it was about to strike, Da Zhuang suddenly ducked down, the blade missed and cut a gash. Nan Ge, caught off guard, lost his balance and nearly lost his footing as he landed on the ground.

Then I pulled out a rope and tied up Nan Ge and his gang one by one. After I finished, I quickly went to Sister Zhao and helped her untie herself.

Sister Zhao looked at me with tears in her eyes and deep emotion. As soon as the rope was loosened, she immediately threw herself into my arms.

After gently comforting Sister Zhao, I took out my phone, looked through my contacts, and dialed the number of police officer Lin Tao that I had saved.

"Hello, who is this?" Lin Tao's cool voice came from the other end of the phone.

"It's me, Dazhuang."

"Dazhuang?" Lin Tao was slightly taken aback. She thought I was calling to inquire about Li Jianzhong's arrest, but after hearing about the kidnapping of Dingsheng's boss by the Hunan gang, she was so shocked that she stood up abruptly from her chair.

After I finished speaking, I gave Nan Ge a cold look at his arrogant and unruly appearance.

When Nan Ge met my smug gaze, he suddenly burst into laughter. Before being pushed into the car, he turned back to look at me and said, "Da Zhuang, don't be so smug. I'll be out soon."

I sneered when I heard him say that: "Come out? These charges are enough to put you in jail for at least ten years."

Nan was pushed into the car, spat out a mouthful of bloody phlegm, and gave me a meaningful smile: "Really? Hahaha."

After watching the police car drive away, I led General Manager Zhao out of the factory. As Lin Tao had instructed, we needed to go to the police station to give our statements before we could return.

Sister Zhao and Secretary Su were still shaken and refused to get into the police car, insisting on traveling with me instead. In the end, only the driver, Lao Wang, got into the police car and left together.

I walked over to the motorcycle and looked at Sister Zhao apologetically: "Sister Zhao, I'm sorry to trouble you. This is the only motorcycle I have right now. Please don't mind it."

When Li Jianzhong was mentioned, she looked troubled: "Dazhuang, Li Jianzhong is still at large. I will notify you immediately if I have any leads."

"Okay." I nodded in response and left the police station with Zhao Fengyue.

As I mounted the motorcycle, Sister Zhao wrapped her arms tightly around my waist, rested her head on my shoulder, and said wearily, "Dazhuang, take me home. I'm so tired."

Hearing the weariness in her voice, I knew she was exhausted both physically and mentally after this ordeal and needed to rest. So I immediately turned on the gas and drove her straight to the villa.

Pushing open the door, I saw Zhang Xiaoqian lounging on the sofa watching TV, her legs crossed. Seeing me lead Sister Zhao in, her face instantly darkened, and she nearly exploded. But then she thought, Chu Xiuyan would soon gather evidence to break us up, and making a scene now would only annoy her mother. So she forcefully suppressed her anger.

Previously, in her heart, Dazhuang was just a companion. Last night, she caught him behaving intimately with Lin Guilian, and she harbored some resentment and dissatisfaction. But after this kidnapping and danger, those awkwardness and dissatisfaction had long been diluted by his courage in stepping forward during the crisis.
