After that, we hugged each other tightly, nestled together quietly, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

She slept until a little after six in the evening when there was a few soft knocks on the door, followed by Lin Tao's mother's voice: "Taozi, get up and eat."

The sound wasn't loud, but it was enough to wake us all up from our deep sleep.

Lin Tao looked up towards the door and replied, "We're not eating. You guys eat."

Hearing this, Lin Tao's mother outside the door gave a helpless reply and turned to walk towards the dining room. Over the years, Lin Tao had often been away on missions, so she had long been used to eating alone. Since Lin Tao's father wasn't home either, she heated up the leftovers from lunch and ate a few simple bites. After finishing, she glanced towards her daughter's bedroom door, shook her head helplessly, and went downstairs for a walk to digest her food.

We cuddled together for a while longer inside the room before slowly sitting up.

Lin Tao was quite relaxed when we were together, but now she blushed and hurriedly covered herself with her clothes. She whispered to me, "Dazhuang, turn around, I'm going to take a shower."

I carried her straight to the bathroom. Lin Tao realized that her words had no effect at all, and she felt both ashamed and angry. She was so ashamed that she closed her eyes tightly and didn't dare to open them to look at her surroundings.

Once inside the bathroom, I gently placed her on a chair, picked up the showerhead, and said softly, "You're still not feeling well today, and it's not easy for you to move around. Let me help you shower."

After taking a shower, I wrapped myself in a towel, picked up a hairdryer, dried my own hair first, and then thoughtfully dried Lin Tao's long hair until it was smooth and dry.

Hearing this, Lin Tao turned around and playfully stuck out her tongue at me: "You wish!"

After saying that, she quickly picked out some clothes and hurried into the bathroom to change. A moment later, she came out wearing a refreshing mint green off-shoulder dress, which complemented her well-proportioned wheat-colored skin. Her gentle and charming temperament made her so beautiful that it was impossible to look away.

Seeing that I was staring intently at her, Lin Tao was secretly pleased and asked with a smile, "What are you staring at me for?"
