Shen Yifei was stunned for a moment before he realized that he had indeed gone a bit too far in tormenting Luo Qinghe in his dream last night. This time, he went all the way.

He quickly put on his clothes and pushed open the door next door.

The room was quiet, the curtains were drawn, and the light was dim. Luo Qinghe lay on the bed, the blanket covering his neck, only his face was visible.

His face was as white as paper, his lips were dry, his eyes were closed, and his brows were slightly furrowed, making him look like he had just recovered from a serious illness.

Shen Yifei walked over, sat down by the bed, and reached out to touch her forehead. It wasn't hot, but it was covered in cold sweat.

"Saintess Luo?" he called softly.

Luo Qinghe did not respond.

He called out again and reached out to push her shoulder.

Luo Qinghe suddenly opened his eyes, his clear, cold eyes now bloodshot. He stared at him for two seconds before slapping him across the face.

"Snapped!"

The sound was crisp and loud, and half of Shen Yifei's face went numb.

"You..." He covered his face, but before he could finish speaking, Luo Qinghe slapped him again.

This time he was on guard and grabbed her wrist.

"Saintess Luo, let's talk this out, don't resort to violence."

"Speak properly?" Luo Qinghe gritted his teeth, his voice hoarse. "Don't you know what you did to me last night? I lay here, feeling like I'd been on fire all night, unable to move. Do you know what that feels like?"

Shen Yifei felt guilty: "I really don't know. I was exhausted from refining pills last night, and I slept until dawn. I don't remember anything."

Luo Qinghe stared at him for several seconds, the anger in her eyes gradually turning into confusion.

Indeed, her door was locked from the inside, and she would definitely have noticed when Shen Yifei came in.

But what about those reactions she had?

That feeling! That pain! It felt so real, like a dream.

"Get out." She released her grip and turned her head away.

Shen Yifei stood up, walked to the door, and glanced back at her. Luo Qinghe had already pulled the blanket over her head and curled up into a ball.

He sighed, closed the door, and went back to his room.

Liu Mengli sat on the bed, swinging her legs, and took out a spirit fruit to eat.

"You got beaten up?"

"I got slapped twice."

"Serves you right." Liu Mengli took a bite of the spirit fruit. "Who told you to cause so much trouble in your dream? Mules and ropes, it scared me."

Shen Yifei sat down next to her and rubbed his face: "Do you think she might find out something?"

"Found out what? Found out you were messing with her in your dream?" Liu Mengli shook her head. "No. The Nightmare Clan's dream-weaving techniques are impossible to detect unless she herself is a nightmare. She'll just think she had a nightmare, or at most, that the nightmare felt too real."

"But her reactions..."

"The reaction is physical; the brain can't process it." Liu Mengli threw away the fruit pit. "Don't worry, she won't suspect you. At most, she'll think there's something wrong with the medicinal scent on you, giving her nightmares."

Shen Yifei thought about it and felt that what she said made sense.

That evening, Luo Qinghe, for the first time ever, took the initiative to knock on his door.

"Saintess Luo, is there something you need so late?"

"Let's go inside and talk." Luo Qinghe stepped into the room and sat down at the table.

Shen Yifei closed the door, sat down opposite her, poured a cup of tea, and pushed it towards her.

Luo Qinghe picked up her teacup, took a sip, put it down, and stared at him for several seconds before speaking: "Have you had any strange dreams these past few days?"

Shen Yifei's heart skipped a beat, but he didn't show it on his face: "Dreaming? I dream every day, all sorts of random things, and I forget them as soon as I wake up. What's wrong?"

"I've been having the same dream every night for the past few nights." Luo Qinghe bit her lip. "Last night, there was something in my dream, not a human, with long ears and a long mouth, like a mule. It chased me in the dream, and when it caught up, it... and then..."

She couldn't continue, her face flushed.

Shen Yifei was secretly overjoyed, but he had to feign concern: "Nightmare? Do you want me to find you some calming pills?"

"It wasn't a nightmare." Luo Qinghe raised her head, her clear, cold eyes fixed on him. "It was a wet dream."

Luo Qinghe is a person who never beats around the bush. If she says it's a spring dream, then it's a spring dream, without the slightest ambiguity.

"Saintess Luo, what do you mean by telling me this?"

"I want to know if it's the medicinal scent on you that's causing this." Luo Qinghe leaned forward. "The smell on you makes people have all sorts of wild thoughts. I live in the same courtyard as you every day, and it's not surprising that I have those kinds of dreams because of this smell."

Shen Yifei breathed a sigh of relief. She came up with the reason herself, saving him the trouble of making up lies.

"That's possible. You know the medicinal scent on me has an aphrodisiac effect on female cultivators. Or... should I move out?"

"No need," Luo Qinghe shook his head. "If you move out, my cultivation speed will slow down. I just want to know, is there any way to stop me from having those kinds of dreams?"

Shen Yifei thought for a moment: "Shall I refine a batch of calming pills for you? They can calm the mind and stabilize the spirit, maybe they'll work."

Luo Qinghe nodded: "Okay, you refine it for me."

After seeing Luo Qinghe off, Shen Yifei closed the door. Liu Mengli emerged from the cauldron, laughing so hard she couldn't stand up straight.

"A wet dream! Hahahaha! She calls that a wet dream!"

"What are you laughing at? You're the one who caused this mess."

"I caused this mess? You insisted on being the mule, and now you blame me?"

However, Shen Yifei became much more well-behaved in the days that followed. After all, no piece of land can withstand a mule's one-step service.

A month passed quickly.

The people Su Wuwang sent to pick him up arrived on time: Elder Gu and Sun Yiran. Elder Gu's first words to Shen Yifei were, "Kid, you've been causing quite a stir at the Qingyun Sect this past month, haven't you?"

"Elder Gu is joking. I'm just an alchemist, what could I possibly do?"

Sun Yiran stood behind Elder Gu, expressionless, but her eyes kept darting over Shen Yifei, from top to bottom and back again, as if inspecting a piece of cargo for damage.

Luo Qinghe stood at the courtyard gate, dressed in a white dress, her face still bearing that icy expression. She glanced at Elder Gu, then at Sun Yiran, and finally her gaze settled on Shen Yifei.

"I'll be back in a month."

"I know." Shen Yifei nodded. "Stay home and cultivate diligently, and don't have nightmares anymore."

Luo Qinghe's lips twitched slightly as he turned and entered the courtyard, closing the door behind him.

Sun Yiran raised an eyebrow: "Nightmare? What nightmare?"

"It's nothing, she just had a slight mishap in her cultivation and keeps having nightmares." Shen Yifei chuckled. "Let's go, don't keep Elder Gu waiting."

After the three left the Qingyun Sect's mountain gate, Elder Gu took out a small flying boat from his storage bag and threw it into the air. The flying boat instantly grew larger and landed steadily on the ground.

The three boarded the flying boat. Elder Gu sat in front of the control panel and channeled his spiritual energy into it. The flying boat trembled and slowly rose into the air, heading south.
