"Wow, you're pretty tough."

Li En clicked his tongue, somewhat surprised.

Melina had said that this thing was resistant to magic. But to her surprise, a fireball didn't even scratch it.

But upon closer inspection, Li En discovered that the wanderer in the rift did not appear to be unharmed either.

At least this thing seems to have dimmed a bit and become more transparent.

Li En then realized that the Rift Wanderer didn't seem to make any sounds; it only expressed emotions by wriggling its body.

During a break in the spellcasting, Elaine glanced over and saw that Li En was using his tail to slowly tap the feet of the Rift Wanderer opposite him.

It's unclear what Li En did, but the Rift Wanderer's speed noticeably slowed down, allowing Elaine to maneuver with greater ease.

Seeing this, Elaine said no more and focused on casting the fireball spell, then retreated to maintain distance during the intervals between spellcasting.

And so, after taking a full five fireballs, the Rift Wanderer vanished with a bang, like a balloon bursting, leaving only a round bead on the ground.

"Is that all?"

Li En and Elaine exchanged a glance, feeling much more relaxed than they had imagined.

"Elena, well done. Pick up the beads from the ground and then come rest over here for a bit," Melina said to them.

Elaine immediately nodded in agreement, picked up the beads from the ground, and walked over to Melina's side.

Melina was watching the other students' movements, ready to intervene immediately if any danger arose.

However, Safina, Sojourn, and Webber all performed quite well.

Like Elaine, they maintained their distance and attacked with their basic spells.

Like Elaine, Weber uses the fireball spell.

Safina is somewhat special, alternating between using wind blades and electric balls.

These two spells seem to have a synergistic effect, making them quite powerful.

Sojeen is actually an earth-elemental being, and he uses two different types of magic: stone projectiles and earth spikes.

Stone projectiles materialize out of thin air, causing rapid damage with a very fast trajectory.

The casting and condensation speed of the earth spike are relatively slow, and its destructive power is far inferior to that of the stone projectile. However, it can leave behind a huge earth spike to hinder the movement of the Rift Wanderer.

The three of them interspersed their spellcasting with magical items to ensure a safe casting distance.

However, compared to others, Waver used magical items the most frequently.

Next was Safina, and finally, Sojeen relied on external aids the least.

"The academy only teaches one basic spell, but Safina and Sojeon are already proficient in two basic spells?"

Li En thought to himself, and understood that this was the advantage of a noble magical family.

Their parents are naturally the best teachers, and they also have enough resources to provide for them.

The magical items they casually tossed out were things Elaine wouldn't even dare to dream of at this stage.

Elaine finished her task and watched the other students perform while holding Li En.
