Magical Cat
Chapter 65 Earth and Wood Sacred Body
When gods fight, Li En dares not utter a sound, for fear of being caught in the crossfire.
For some reason, after the old dean gave his punishment to Corbyn, an eerie silence fell over the room.
"What's going on here? The matter is resolved, so what are we all standing around for?"
Li En's big eyes darted around, carefully observing the reactions of all parties.
Gradually, he noticed that the old dean's gaze seemed to linger on him.
Li En immediately blinked her big eyes, revealing an innocent expression.
Ever since he turned into a cat, he knew he had become very cute, especially since he looked silly and harmless.
Every time Lee Eun looks in the mirror, she can't help but marvel at how such an adorable kitten exists in this world.
Lee Eun is now fully aware that her appearance is also a powerful weapon.
Unfortunately, the old dean didn't seem to be buying it. After looking at him for a while, he quietly looked away.
"Alright, since there's nothing else, everyone can get some rest."
"Mr. Parker, could you please do some simple repairs on their rooms?"
"Stop causing trouble, or I'll have to impose even harsher punishments!"
The old dean's last words were a warning to Corbyn and Sophia.
As the old dean gave the final decision, the teachers who were still watching from the sky dispersed and disappeared in the blink of an eye.
Only one well-off middle-aged male teacher remained, and he came to the old dean's side.
This male teacher didn't look like a magician; he looked more like a businessman. His pajamas were made of expensive silk, and his ten chubby fingers were covered with various ornate magic rings. His thick mustache was meticulously groomed, with two large hooks drawn on it.
Parker smiled as he looked at the two who had caused such a commotion tonight, and surprisingly thanked them, saying, "Thank you both for patronizing my business again tonight. I'm almost embarrassed by the money I've made."
"In that case, let's do the repairs for free this time," the old dean suggested, seizing the opportunity.
"Free is out of the question! As agreed, the wages will be doubled and the construction period will be halved." Parker's expression turned serious, and without wasting any more words with the old dean, he began to repair the room.
Parker's chubby hand touched the ground twice, and the outlines of two rooms reappeared in the razed ruins.
"The repair is a bit rough, but please bear with it for the night." Parker patted the dirt off his hands.
The people present seemed to be used to it.
Sophia hugged Li En and was about to turn and leave.
But Brian stopped him in time.
"Wait, leave the cat here."
Sofia whirled around, as if she'd been stepped on, and snapped, "Why are you keeping it? It's not your cat!"
"That's not your cat either," Corbyn retorted.
Seeing that the two were about to fight again, the old dean quickly stopped them.
"Alright, alright, stop arguing," the old dean said, snapping his fingers.
Li En felt a lightness in her body, as if Sophia had suddenly let go of her.
But then, his perspective suddenly shifted, and he found himself in the old dean's hands.
The old dean stretched out one arm and held Li En in one hand, supporting him in a rather strange posture.
Li En felt a dense magical power spreading from the old dean's palm, scanning into his body.
The magical power vibrated within Li En's body a few times at an eerie frequency, and then fell silent.
"Oh?"
The old dean let out a soft gasp, as if he had discovered something surprising.
With a flash, Corbyn snatched Lee En from the old dean's hands.
Immediately afterward, he didn't linger in one place for a moment; with another flash, he returned to his room.
"Kitten..."
Sophia saw Lee being taken away by Corbyn and cried out in resentment.
But when he noticed the old dean and Parker looking at him, he snorted and teleported back to his room.
The once bustling place suddenly fell silent, leaving only the old dean and Parker standing there.
"That cat seems very important to Corbyn. Has he switched to a new research topic again?"
Parker casually asked a question while looking at Corbyn's room, but his eyes glanced at the old dean.
He had clearly seen that the old dean's reaction was somewhat strange when he lifted the cat.
"Hehe, who knows?" The old dean chuckled, then yawned. "Oh dear, Parker, it's getting late. Go back to sleep; you have classes tomorrow."
After saying that, the old dean also disappeared from the spot.
Parker stood still, his eyes still fixed on Corbyn's room, gently stroking his mustache.
"A new topic? How interesting!"
……
Back in his room, Corbyn angrily pointed at Lee, his eyes full of threat.
Li En chuckled and nodded repeatedly, looking like a shameless man about to apologize.
"Don't you dare cause me any more trouble!" Corbyn said through gritted teeth.
Li En pretended not to hear and turned to look at the restored room.
The room was only restored to its outline; all the furniture inside was made of stone.
Li En pressed his paw against the table under his buttocks and found it to be exceptionally sturdy.
This left him in awe.
That teacher named Parker is simply a born civil engineering genius. He can restore a room that has been reduced to ruins to this extent in the blink of an eye. He's really amazing!
"Speaking of which, Parker is actually quite good at what you just tried: creating large-scale magical artifacts. There are probably few people in the academy who are better at it than him."
As he spoke, Corbyn plopped down on the stone bench.
He seemed quite comfortable in the room's layout and didn't feel any sense of unfamiliarity.
Li En turned his head and looked around, and found that the room was already furnished with basic furniture, including a bed, a table, and chairs, all of which were made of stone.
And all of this was created by Mr. Parker using magic.
It's not just that the magic it casts has a large range, but it also contains all sorts of details.
This level of control left Li En, who had just managed to spew out a clump of vines, utterly helpless.
But he believes that he will be able to do it someday.
After all, he had already mastered the secret of how to amplify magic.
As long as you continue to learn magic, you will surely be able to learn this surprise as well.
"By the way, I haven't come to see you these past few days, so please don't come over again."
"After what happened tonight, the other old guys might be eyeing you too."
"If they take me away for research, it would be a hundred times more terrifying than if I were here."
Cobra didn't forget to scare the kitten.
Li En was skeptical, but he was more curious about the other teachers in the academy.
It's clear that each of them is a powerful magician, with their own area of expertise.
If Li En could learn all the skills that each of them excelled at, wouldn't he be able to do whatever he wanted in the academy?
They might even have some influence in the magical world.
Seeing Lee's eyes darting around, Cobra knew what kind of trick he was up to again.
He immediately grabbed Li En by the scruff of his neck and, with a few flashes, tossed him back into Elaine's room.
In the end, all I left him with was this: "Listen to me, keep a low profile!"
